Life goes on in Honeyford and I’m back there at the moment, writing about Christmas at The Cosy Kettle – the café is strewn with tinsel and fairy lights, and looks gorgeous. This time, I’m telling Becca’s story – and what happens to her, and the people she loves, when she decides to reinvent herself. You can find out when that book will be published by signing up at the following link. Your email address will never be shared and you can unsubscribe at any time.

If you had fun reading A Summer Escape and Strawberry Cake at the Cosy Kettle, I’d really appreciate it if you could spare the time to write a review. It doesn’t have to be a long review – just a line or two is fine – and it might help a new reader to discover my books. Thank you.

I look forward to seeing you again soon in Honeyford. And, in the meantime, if you’d like to get in touch or check out my latest news, you can find me loitering on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and my website.

  Annie’s Holiday by the Sea

  A heartwarming laugh-out-loud romantic comedy

‘An idyllic, beautifully written, heart-warming story that made my heart swell with joy… Absolutely beautiful; I love everything about this book.’ The Writing Garnet Blog, 5 stars

When twenty-nine-year-old Annie Trebarwith receives an unexpected letter from a great-aunt she’s never known, she leaves her shoebox-sized flat in London and catches a train to the rugged Cornish coast.

Salt Bay is beautiful and Annie begins to kindle a bond with her great-aunt Alice. Even though there is zero phone signal and the locals – including the gorgeous but brooding Josh Pasco – can be decidedly grumpy at times, Annie starts to feel at home in Salt Bay.

Soon Annie’s love of music leads her to relaunch the Salt Bay Choral Society, and she’s surprised to see just how much the choir means to the community – and she even starts to break through Josh’s surly exterior…

But London is calling Annie back, and she has to make a decision. Give up her old life completely, or leave Salt Bay, her new-found family – and the choir – behind?

Annie’s Holiday by the Sea is a heart-warming story about family, belonging and the healing power of music, perfect for fans of Jo Thomas, Holly Martin and Carole Matthews.

  Annie’s Summer by the Sea

  The perfect laugh-out-loud romantic comedy

Fans of Jenny Oliver, Cathy Bramley and Debbie Johnson will love this hilarious and heart-warming romantic comedy! A storm is brewing on the stunning Cornish coast – but will sunshine follow the rain?

When Annie Trebarwith unexpectedly inherits Tregavara House, her much-loved family home atop the cliffs of Salt Bay, she begins to wonder: with all the good friends and warm memories she’s made in the village, could it be her forever home?

Luckily her gorgeous Poldark-lookalike boyfriend, Josh Pasco, has exactly the same idea. High on the Cornish cliffs he gets down on one knee, and Annie has everything she’s ever dreamed of.

But when a summer storm causes catastrophic damage to the beautiful but aging house, Annie and Josh are faced with tumbling tiles and a massive repair bill – and a roof that’s leaked straight onto her wedding gown…

Can the Salt Bay community save Annie’s house and her wedding – and give Annie the happy-ever-after she’s always wanted?

  Acknowledgements

This is my fifth published novel, and I’m still pinching myself. Just three years ago, I didn’t have a publisher, the first romcom I’d tried to write was languishing in a drawer and I wasn’t sure I had another book in me. My writing dreams were slipping away – and then along came Bookouture.

The Bookouture team gave me an amazing opportunity, and have been brilliant ever since. As well as being super-talented, they’re really nice people. And that counts for a lot when you’re a writer not over-endowed with confidence who’s pretty new to publication. A special thank you goes to my wonderful editors Ellen Gleeson and Abigail Fenton for being my #CosyKettleDreamTeam. This book is all the better for their wise suggestions and support – plus their gentle encouragement when writing and editing deadlines were looming.

I’m blessed with fabulous family and friends. And I’m ever grateful to the bloggers who write about books and are supportive of so many authors, including me.

Writing makes me happy. It also makes me very distracted at times, and occasionally slightly grumpy (did I already mention deadlines?). Thank you, Tim, for being understanding when I’m on a writing roll, and for making me happy too.
