The Legacy of the Lioness Page 21

by Robert D. Armstrong

A flock of sparrows flew by us chasing a hawk. After driving the bird of prey away, the sparrows changed directions in unison.

There would be more challenges in the years to come, certainly more hardships, but we would be ready, together. And whenever it came time for this Lioness to draw her final breath, I could do so knowing I’d found happiness.

That was my legacy, not being a daredevil pilot, a Naval officer, or even the knight who assisted in the Moderator’s fall, but as someone who conquered sadness by never giving up hope.

Thank you so much for reading! I really hope you enjoyed Captain Belic and Luther’s adventures. I’m humbled that you came along for the ride to the conclusion!
