Chapter IX
A Trap
Rybnik crept through the forest taking special care to not make a sound. Carefully, he placed his feet on the ground avoiding dried leaves and twigs that would give away his position. He pushed low branches out of his way letting them spring back into their original position. Stealthily, Rybnik moved. He had business in the woods.
Crack!
Rybnik whirled around in the direction of the sound. Perfect. He concealed himself against a tree in the darkness. Blynak walked among the trees searching for something, or someone. Leaves crackled beneath his feet. Noisy bastard. Rybnik shook his head at the man’s clumsiness. Blynak had followed him. Rybnik cursed under his breath. Blynak had proven to be a problem, one that needed solving.
