She Fell In Love With A Miami Kingpin 2 Page 8

She hadn’t said two words to me since she’d been released from the hospital. I ordered us two ribeye steaks with mashed potatoes and asparagus and a fried banana foster’s cheesecake; her favorite dessert.

I walked into the master bathroom and stood in the doorway watching the water cascade down Brooklyn’s backside through the glass door. Her long wet curly hair hung low down her back, that shit was so sexy to me. I stepped out of my jeans, raising my t-shirt over my head, making my way into the shower.

She tensed up at first when I hugged her tightly from behind, but relaxed once she realized it was me. I turned her around facing me, so I could look her in her eyes and secure her thoughts. She was still crying; I hated that they took away the one thing in the world my wife wanted the most. I lifted her chin and kissed her tears away until my mouth met kissing her passionately.

“Brooklyn.” I pulled away and rested my chin on top of her head. “I love you Brooklyn. I did a lot of wrong in my life, but you…you are the one thing I’m doing right.” She started to cry harder. “Remember what I said at the alter?” she nodded her head yes, “I meant every word I promise I will be everything you need from now on. I will never ignore you like that again, I just need you to always do what I ask and don’t keep anything from me. A nigga can’t be out here going to war with a disloyal motherfucker in his corner, a’ight?”

“Yes,” she barely said above a whisper. “I want them dead, Khadi…they killed our baby boy.” She let out a gut-wrenching cry breaking my heart into a million pieces.

“Yes baby.” I kissed her lips, “I will kill them all for you.”

  Ding Dong!

“Baby wash up I ordered food from downstairs.” I stepped out the shower throwing on a robe, grabbing my gun of the sink and headed to the door.

  Chapter 16

  Yani

“Dammit!” I hit the steering wheel with the palm of my hand as I floored the black rented Corvette down State road 934 hightailing it away from Fishers Island. “I fucking missed!” I chastised myself; I never miss. I was fucking livid when I found out Chris was back in Miami trying to finish the job on Khadi. His stupid ass couldn’t leave well enough alone. I fucking held him down and took care of our kids while he was locked away and he still was trying to force this bitch back into his life. I was one step ahead of his ass tho and I would’ve accomplished my mission if that dumb ass driver hadn’t stepped in the way of my shot. Chris took Pedro with him because of his sniping skills but little did he know, I’m a lethal weapon myself.

I flew straight into Miami this morning with one thing on the agenda; kill Brooklyn but now I was back at square one. I needed to get back home to my kids and I needed to call my father before word got back to him. I took Emmanuel, one of our trusted men on this mission with me and on the way back to the car he got hit, so I had to leave him behind. This was bad for me because if the Santana’s identified him as one of our men, we were in deeper shit than Chris already had us in.

Once I was in the clear and could see Raul waiting for me at the clear port to fly back to Atlanta I was relieved.

“Where’s Emmanuel?” Raul asked as I hopped out of the Corvette leaving the keys in the ignition. I ignored him and tried to brush past him, but he roughly grabbed my arm. “Senorita, Emmanuel, donde etsa?” he asked demanding to know Emmanuel’s whereabouts.

“Muerto!” Dead, I shouted jerking away from him. “And if you ever grab on me like that again, I will cut your fingers off and make you walk around with them in your pocket.” I passed the pilot and headed up the stairs. “Get us out of here now.” I called over my shoulder before taking my seat and buckling up answering my ringing phone.

  “Hello!”

“Where the fuck you at?” Gator’s voice boomed over the loud noise in the background. I could only imagine he was in a strip club or fulfilling his fantasy somewhere with a bunch of bitches.

I pulled my phone away from my ear and looked at it crazy. Since when he cared about my whereabouts? He continued, “Bitch if I find out you doing some sneaky shit behind my back, I’ll kill you myself.” He spoke deadly into the phone.

Ok, so calling me a bitch was strike one for him and killing me himself was strike two. “I would shut the fuck up if I was you. You weak ass negro running around the city embarrassing me cause you can’t let that bitch move on. You out here chasing a bitch that left you at your lowest point while I picked up your pieces. I’m getting tired of your shit.” I spat pissed off. I’d just tried to kill one of the most silent but ruthless kingpins’ wife all because he had me feeling insecure and he calls me on some bullshit.

“Where the fuck my kids at Yani?”

I hung up on him as the tears started streaming down my face. I think I finally had enough, I’d just possibly put my family’s empire in danger and this negro really didn’t give a damn if I lived or die. All he cared about was our kids and his precious Brooklyn.

  “Senorita.”

“Not right now.” I cut Raul off trying to close my eyes and think about what the fuck I just did. I jumped from the loud deafening sound of my phone ringing. I assumed it was Chris calling back since I’d hung up on him. “What?!” I hollered into the phone.

“Princesa…get mi grandbabies and get back to Cuba now.” My father’s voice sounded different, the strong confidence that was normally in his voice was now gone. I wouldn’t say it was cowardly because Felipe Ortiz feared no one but something was definitely off.

“Papi…Queesta mal?” I sat up asking him what was wrong alerted by the eagerness in his voice.

“Just get here asap, Yani. War has been declared between your husband and the Santana’s and I need you all safe here with me. Someone tried to kill Khadi’s wife today and I’m sure your sorry ass husband had something to do with it.” He angrily hollered into the phone. “Wives are off limits, Yani! I’ve been knowing the Santana’s for years and their motto has always been an eye for an eye. Get here NOW.”

He ended the call leaving me feeling worse than I already felt once the Santana’s found out that Emmanuel belonged to us there would be war between us also. Now the question was would I leave my selfish husband to fight on the battlefield alone or would I send my kids to Cuba and help him? I immediately called Chris to see if he would tell me what was going on.

“Where are you? And when should I expect you home?” I asked, looking down on the city as the plane descended into the air.

“I’m around Yani and don’t start your shit, I’ll get back when I get back, unless something is wrong with my babies.” One thing I couldn’t take away from Chris was that he was a great father. He loved our kids unconditionally and would move mountains for them; sometimes even I would get jealous of how much attention he gave them. I wanted to give Chris babies galore, but I needed him to see that I was the one for him. I lied to Brooklyn about being pregnant that day in the courthouse to run her off, hell Chris only started fucking me once he learned that she was fucking Khadi. “Is something wrong with my babies, Yani?” he asked again harshly demanding my attention.

“No, nothing is wrong with our kids, Chris. Your wife just misses you, that’s all.” I smirked into the phone. This nigga couldn’t even keep it one hundred with me. I knew he would lie to my face and act like nothing was going on. Which was more reason why I was taking my babies right back to Cuba.

“Yeah a’ight. I’ll see you when I get back.” He abruptly hung up the phone.

Fuck him! I was going back home under the protection of my father. For the first time in a long time, Chris would see how it felt with me not having his back.

  Chapter 17

  Gator

Shit was all fucked up on my end right now. I saved what I could but most of my trap houses had been burned down to the ground. The shit was all over the news and I don’t even know where to begin with the body count of the soldiers I’d lost. Ragu’s death hit me hard and I made a promise over his casket that I would bury every motherfucker that played a p
art in his death.

“What the fuck we gon’ do nah?” Justice asked sitting across from me at the Waffle House out in Riverdale. I felt it was safer if we met up outside of Atlanta being that most of my protection was gone now. “I told you to kill that nigga Khaza. I bet my last bag that nigga set us up.” Justice continued to rant while I silently tried to put a plan together in my head.

“I ain’t heard from the nigga, he ain’t taking none of my calls. He could’ve very well ran back home to his family with his tail tucked between his legs. That only means that he will die with the rest of them.” I grabbed my vibrating phone out my pocket and immediately recognized the Miami area code.

“Yo’?” I slide the unlock bar across the screen.

“You motherfucker!!!! You killed my baby… How could you? I thought you would never hurt me. You promised you would never hurt me… I’ve been protecting you and this is what you do to me?” she cried into the phone.

“Brooklyn?” I asked getting up from the table and walking outside to catch some air. “What you talking about? You know I would never hurt you. Everything I’ve done is for you to come back home to me.” I sincerely told her. “And what the fuck you mean you been protecting me?”

“I tried to save you Gator, even when I shouldn’t have been loyal to your disloyal ass, I still didn’t give you up. But this… this is unforgiveable! I never got to meet my sweet baby boy because of you.” She shouted angrily into the phone.

I was confused as ever and had no clue what the fuck she was talking about.

“Brooklyn, slow down, I didn’t kill your baby. I didn’t even know you were pregnant and I definitely didn’t send out any hits. I been here trying to repair the damage your bitch ass husband caused.”

“Good! I’m telling you now you better be prepared for anything that comes your way because there will not be a fucking city or rock you can hide under when my husband is back out onto the streets.”

“That’s how you playing shit now? Huh?” I barked into the phone. “He killed Ragu. Ragu was your family… practically raised us and you cool with that shit?” I asked hoping to soften her up a little bit. She paused for so long I had to look at the phone to see if the timer was running.

“Was is the keyword. I am a Santana now and you will pay for all the hurt you caused in my life especially for the death of my son.” She hung up in my face before I had a chance to explain I had nothing to do with killing her seed.

“Everything good, bro? What she say?” Justice walked up on me lighting a blunt.

I cleared my throat, “She…uh…she lost her baby.”

“Shiddddd, well that’s a good thing, right? It was that nigga’s baby.” He shrugged his shoulders.

“She thinks I did it.” I walked away from him heading towards the car, knowing only one person could give me the answers of what was going on.

  *****

“Yo’ Kassidy…Where you at?” I entered her condo with my spare key, hell, I paid for the shit. “The fuck?” I whispered to myself as I rounded the corner and watched her bounce up and down on some niggas dick; she wasn’t even wearing a condom.

“Ahem.” I cleared my throat scaring the shit out of both of them. She had the nerves to try and shield her body as if I hadn’t seen every nook and cranny of it. When she hopped up and I saw it was that nigga Nas, I scrunched my face up as if I was embarrassed that I caught them. “My bad y’all.” I moved back behind the wall trying to give them some privacy. “Kass, I need to speak with you about Brooklyn it’s kind of an emergency.” I called over the wall.

“This nigga got a key to yo shit.” I heard him ask her just above a whisper.

“He must have Brooklyn’s key.” I laughed to myself listening to her lie to him.

Nas was a cool nigga and grew up with Brooklyn and Kassidy so I didn’t overstep my boundaries with him. Plus, Brooklyn would always tell me how he always had my back and tried to make excuses for my fuck ups in the past, so I fell back while they got their shit together.

“What’s up?” Kassidy came back out with a long robe wrapped around her body. Nas had slipped his basketball shorts back on and headed upstairs.

I couldn’t stop the smirk that graced upon my face. “This what the fuck your thot ass be doing during breakfast hours?” I busted out laughing as she stood there like a child who got caught red handed sticking their hand in the cookie jar.

She cut her eyes at me, “Cut the bullshit what you want?”

I walked pass her and sat on the opposite coach from where their juices might be laying and made myself comfortable. “What happened with Brooklyn? She called me on rah-rah shit about me having something to do with her losing her baby. Why the fuck you ain’t tell me she was pregnant? You tell everything else.”

She rolled her eyes to the top of her head. Kassidy was always jealous of Brooklyn and lately, it’s been showing like the melanin on her skin. Even though Kassidy was wifey material she just wasn’t Brooklyn and she hated that. Her eyes traveled upstairs to make sure that her room door was closed and Nas wasn’t listening.

“You should fix your face…Jealousy doesn’t look good on you.” I kept my eyes glued to my phone reading a text message from Justice.

“I didn’t tell you she was pregnant because I didn’t want to add fuel to the fire and what do you mean what’s going on? Why you acting like you don’t know what the fuck you did?” she grinned at me.

“’Cause I didn’t do shit!” I jumped up from the coach hollering. “I didn’t send that hit Kass… you know I wouldn’t hurt B man.” I ran my hand through my dreads out of frustration. “I don’t give a fuck about that nigga, but I wouldn’t touch a hair on Brooklyn’s head.

“Well she wasn’t shot, I think her bodyguard was or some shit like that. The shot was too clean tho like a sniper but killing him caused her to lose her baby. That’s what everyone’s uptight about. It happened right in their driveway at the estate, so they’re assuming it was your doing with the help of Khaza.” She stood up letting me know she was ready for me to leave.

My face twisted up in confusion, “I haven’t even been able to get in touch with that lil nigga. I assumed he went back home to his family.” I started walking towards the door. “I need you to let her know Kass, let her know that hit wasn’t mines.”

“I’ll do what I can but she ain’t really trying to hear nothing.” She tried blowing me off.

I grabbed her by her neck and roughly pushed her against the wall, “Make her hear you.” I watched her eyes damn near pop out of her head as she fought to pry my hands from around her neck. “You hearing me or nah?” I pressed a little harder while she silently gasped for air. I could’ve killed her quietly while Nas was upstairs waiting for her to return with the pussy, but I decided against it knowing his corny ass would rat my ass out. She tried her hardest to shake her head yes. When I felt satisfied with her answer I removed my hand from her throat, she fell to the floor coughing. “Get rid of that nigga. I’ll be back tonight.” I told her walking out the door I had to go and pay my respect to my uncle Ragu before they put him six feet under.

  Chapter 18

  Brooklyn

My heart raced as I popped up from the same nightmare I’d been having since I lost our baby. I reached over and turned on the lamp trying to calm myself down. Sweating profusely, I snatched the silk floral bonnet off my head welcoming the cool air on my scalp. Khadi’s lite snores mixed with Dick Vitale’s voice from ESPN on the tv filled the air. I smiled at the sight of my handsome husband. No matter how many nightmares I had jumping out of my sleep and seeing him on side of me always put my heart at ease.

“Why you staring at a nigga like that B?” Khadi spoke keeping his eyes closed scaring the shit out of me. I hadn’t even noticed he stopped snoring.

“I was thinking about killing you in your sleep if you leave that damn tv on again while I’m sleeping.” He chuckled dismissing my harmless threats.

“You had that dream again?” I r
olled my eyes at the mere fact that even with his eyes closed and halfway asleep he could always read me.

“Yes.” I let out a deep breath. Pulling the silk sheets over my naked body cuddling back up next to him. “Are you sure we safe here?” I asked.

He pulled me closer to him, “Stop worrying your pretty self about that fuck nigga.” he kissed my forehead.

I couldn’t stop worrying though, between these dreams and knowing that Gator had been making good on his promise, I was a nervous wreck. He kissed my forehead again for reassurance.

“Come here and give yo’ husband some loving. I missed that pussy baby a nigga had hit rock bottom when we wasn’t talking. I’m talking ‘bout having withdrawals and shit.” He whispered sliding his hand up my thick thighs until he reached my already dripping wet bare pussy. My kitty had finally stopped bleeding and Khadi forbid me to wear clothes in the bed, giving him easy access as if I’d turn his fine ass away. He stirred his finger inside my walls, pulling his finger out and bringing it up to my lips. I opened my mouth welcoming my juices while he twirled his fingers around finger fucking my mouth. Khadi was healing like a champ and had been fucking me like crazy like every time could be our last time. Scary but I couldn’t refuse my husband, plus a bitch was Lorena Bobbitt behind the dick.

“Mmmmmm,” I moaned reaching down and grabbing hold of his already hard dick. He wasted no time kneeling up in the bed wincing in pain a little bit, but he never let that stop him from fucking me dizzy.

“Turn that ass over.” He smacked my thigh speaking with so much authority my pussy juices were already making their way down my leg.

I flipped over arching my back just like how he liked it and tooted my ass in the air.
