“I love you, naekkeo,” Win murmurs, leaning toward me.
I meet him halfway, one corner of my lips tilting up at the endearment that has a much deeper meaning than I ever knew. “I love you too,” I reply, and kiss him right there to the sounds of the twins groaning “gross” before clearing their own plates from the table to escape our PDA.
Which we’ll never have to hide ever again.

I was maybe two chapters into editing Aurora’s Until Talon when I called dibs on Cece for my next book in her Happily Ever After World. Being a mother of three daughters myself, I connected with Cece instantly, and her life and second chance at love immediately started spinning its story inside my imagination.
Thankfully, Aurora approved, knowing I would be as caring toward these beloved characters as I was with Z and Kayan from Until July in my book Scary Hot. She even let me name Cece’s hero, her only stipulation being it needed to be nerdy. And what other name could I possibly have chosen besides Winston, when the heroine’s name was Cece?
If you got my New Girl reference—especially with Winston’s son being named Nick—you can sit at my lunch table (*wink).
So thank you, Aurora, for trusting me once again with not only your words but with the voices we all love inside your beautiful head.
My daughter Josalyn. For years, you’ve tried to make me listen to your favorite group, BTS. I’ve always supported your obsession, comparing it to my love of Backstreet Boys when I was your age. I even threw you a BTS birthday party years ago. But it wasn’t until PopPop passed away in September and I took you to see the BTS movies in the theater as a much-needed distraction that I finally got it, finally understood what you’d been trying to make me see all that time.
I hope this book helps more people “get” what an ARMY feels, how seven insanely talented men in South Korea can brighten even the darkest and saddest of times, even without knowing exactly what the words mean. And I hope more people will now give them a listen with an open mind instead of blowing them off and making fun. Music is a universal language, and they prove it.
