It takes an (online) village to write a book, so thanks to my IRL and virtual friends (and friends of friends) who have helped with many, many questions along the way ranging from words teens use and nursery care to gun law and medical questions, as well as music choices, names, pedantic grammar queries and much more. Any mistakes or inaccuracies are, of course, my own. Plus thank you of course for keeping me company and making me laugh when I should have been actually been writing The Chateau, and for throwing your support so fully behind The Chalet when it was published – it meant a lot.
Thank you to the bloggers and reviewers who were (largely!) so enthusiastic about The Chalet, and to Anne Cater of Random Things Tours for organising such a great blog tour. I read every single review and really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, both with me and with other readers. I always love to hear from you, so please do keep in touch via @catherinecooperjournalist on Insta, @catherinecooper on Twitter and @catherinecooperauthor on Facebook.
Thanks to Toby for lending me his toddler self and Dodo to appear as Sorrel and his squirrel (not that I asked!) and to Livi for being so excited about the books.
Finally, thanks to Alex for everything – especially for taking me seriously when I first said I wanted to move to France all those years ago. Though I’m still relieved we didn’t buy an actual chateau xx.
