Mason and Ollie wore identical linen suits with the same colored shirts and vests. Her boys looked so handsome, she almost cried! She couldn’t wait for the pictures!
They said their “I do’s” and kissed until Ollie whispered a very loud, “yuck” which made the two adults break apart in a fit of giggles.
They then grabbed their son and squashed him between them, kissing his chubby little cheeks while a photographer took pictures. With the blue Atlantic as a back drop and the cloudless summer sky behind them, they looked like models. Even the photographer commented on the handsome family to which Mason replied his thanks.
The day passed in a whirlwind of new sighs and sounds and an overwhelming feeling of profound pride and happiness. Mason smiled as he once again carried Oliver to the hotel bedroom and watched as Abigail tucked in their son.
“I am the luckiest man in the world.”
“I won’t argue with that.”
“Crap!” He groaned as his phone went off for the tenth time that day.
“What is it?”
“It’s Claire. You recall, my Assistant VP of Marketing.”
“So, answer it already.”
“No way, it’s our wedding day! I’m not going to answer it.”
“What’s it about?”
“The new launch for Summer Bite , I didn’t approve of the beach-bimbo ad she presented last week, we’ve been at odds ever since.”
“ Summer Bite , huh?”
“Yeah, it’s our new Seasons line.”
“What does it taste like?”
“Since I can be honest now, I admit I thought about you when I created the citrusy-rose blend.”
“Did you, now?” His new wife bristled with pride at the unexpected compliment. He ran a hand down her pale arm and watched as she responded instantly. Her eyelids fluttered, and her lips parted. Mason felt himself harden under her watchful gaze.
“Yeah, come to think of it, you still smell like roses, especially here, but I forgot the oranges,” he reached the apex of her thighs and teased her legs open. She dropped her head back, black hair spilling down her back as he undid the silk ribbon.
“I have an idea!” Abigail jumped out of his arms just as he eased the zipper down her dress and grabbed his phone.
“Abs?”
Before Mason knew what was happening, Abigail introduced herself to Claire and went on to explain what it was she wanted.
“You’re a genius!” He exclaimed and stared in disbelief, “I married a genius!”
“You think so?”
“I know so, but as I recall, we were in the middle of something before you took my cell phone, Mrs. Lane.”
“Were we? I don’t remember.”
“Let me refresh your memory then,” he dropped to his knees in front of her and lifted the hem of her luxurious silk wedding dress. He reached up ready to tear down her panties only to discover they weren’t there. He growled, and she bit her lip as she watched him.
“I figured you’d be hungry after our busy day,” her voice deepened with her desire and Mason gripped her thighs with his hands.
“I am hungry,” he agreed.
“Then eat,” she said and watched as he parted her soft curls with one hand and proceeded to thrust his tongue into her sweet cleft.
Marriage was certainly turning out to be better than anything Mason had ever imagined in his wildest dreams. And his Abigail had always had the starring role in those. Nothing was sweeter than the reality of his Abigail, his wife , in his arms as she was now.
Gentle kisses had turned into deep hungry strokes of the tongue. They writhed together in perfect harmony, a mash of lips, tongue, teeth, and hands. Her hands ignited flames down his back as she stroked him, urging him on.
She was magnificent sprawled out naked in front of him. They’d finally made their way to the master bedroom and Mason continued to feast on his love. Pleasuring her with his mouth was almost as satisfying as when he moved inside her. She was breathtaking.
When she arched into him, Mason was lost. Pleasure seemed to exude from every pore. He shuddered as he came inside her. She was finally his. His life, his love. Always. Mine.
EPILOGUE
Three weeks later, Mason stood with Abigail on his arm at The Thirsty Dog . The industrial style atmosphere of the cool, dimly lit bar made it the perfect backdrop for the Summer Bite launch. The Thirsty Dog was a Maccon City favorite.
Mason had previewed all his new flavors at that location. The owner, Mike Bellamy, was a fellow Werewolf and a friend. He’d received quite the reputation as the first bar owner to buy and serve Bite and he was always happy to host a party for Lane Liquors Corporation.
Several large, expensive, flat-screen TVs were mounted onto the exposed beams surrounding the bar. All eyes were on those screens as they flashed a bright white before turning black. The DJ stopped the music on cue.
Mason did not have to wait long for silence. He squeezed his mate’s hand and raised an eyebrow at the sly smile that curled at the corner of her red lips. God , she was beautiful. She nodded her head, a slight movement only he and the other Wolves present would’ve noticed.
It was time. The crowd was made up of mostly locals, some executives from Lane Liquors, a few of his business acquaintances, and such. He gripped the microphone in one hand, turned and pressed his lips to beautiful wife’s well-kissed, ruby-red lips before he turned back to the crowd.
“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!”
“Hey Lane, married life agrees with you! Do we all get to kiss the bride?!” Someone cat-called and he grinned at the friendly joshing, though not before he flashed his Wolf eyes to whoever had made that kissing remark. Mine. He waved his hand to silence them, then continued, “I’d like to offer my congratulations to my wife and new partner at Lane Liquors Corporation, Abigail Lane. She is the brains, as well as, the beauty behind the concept of tonight’s Summer Bite launch campaign! Please, start the ad!”
Bartenders handed out samples of Summer Bite to the crowd as a dark, sexy beat began to pound in through the speakers. The screens lit with a gorgeous young woman standing on a beach.
The woman was alone, watching as the sun set just behind the glittering waves. She noticed a mysterious stranger sitting at an empty café on the sand behind her. He beckoned to her with his eyes. She ignored him. Once more he called out to her, before she turned away, she noticed the bottle on his table. Summer Bite .
The tempo increased, she walked to him, her long legs cut through the surf like a knife. She straddled him, grabbed his face, and almost kissed him, turning instead, she reached around him and picked up the bottle of Summer Bite , revealing two Vampire-like fangs of her own.
“ Summer Bite, it’s what you crave.”
The crowd burst out in wild applause as the screens faded to black and the music started up again.
“That was wicked cool!”
“Very sexy, man!”
Accolades and applause followed them around that night as much for the commercial as for the drink itself. Mason tugged on Abigail’s arm until they found a dark corner where they could be alone.
“Let’s go,” he murmured against her throat as he kissed her where she was sensitive just below her earlobe.
“We can’t go yet,” she whispered, but she pulled his head further down as she did.
“Excuse me you two,” a massive figure turned towards them and Mason jumped protectively in front of his wife who crouched down in a fighting position herself.
“My bad, I should have announced myself first.”
“Oh shit, Rafe, I mean Mr. Maccon, uh-”
“Rafe is cool. Anyway, I just wanted to say I appreciated the case of Summer Bite you sent up to the Manor. The boys and I opened one last night. It was smooth, Mason, very smooth. Anyway, congrats and, uh, it’s nice to see you and finally meet your wife, ma’am,” the Alpha of the Macconwood Pack paused as he shook Abigail’s hand. He nodded in recognition and walked away as quietly
as he had entered.
“Your Alpha moves stealthily for a big man,” Abby remarked as she counted seven men walking with him, but not obviously.
“Yes, he does. Those are his Wolf Guard. They are pretty formidable.”
“Mm. I suppose I should have a meeting with him. Announce my presence and all.”
“That’s probably wise. I’ll go with you, if you’d like?”
“Yes, I’d like that.”
He smiled and took her hand as they went to thank Mike. The evening had been a good one. They drove home in the new Range Rover he’d acquired since they’d married.
It wasn’t a pick-up truck, but they both liked it and it would be good for all those extra-curricular activities his boy had seemed to keen on joining. Mason saw a lot of webinars about coaching kids’ soccer and lacrosse in his future.
He opened the front door of their newly refurbished home for his wife and held her hand as they walked into the house. There was a note from their housekeeper on the fridge. Ollie went to bed at ten, but refused to eat his asparagus. She let him have a slice of pudding pie anyway and hoped they wouldn’t mind.
The sitter was a widow, a sweet, local woman. She’d been married to a Werewolf who died in battle. She understood their home wasn’t typical. She slept in the spare room when she stayed over to babysit, which was only occasionally as the new family didn’t like to be apart from each other just yet.
Mason checked in on Ollie before he joined his Abigail in their bedroom. He’d had the entire house repainted and changed all the furniture in the master bedroom. He didn’t want any residual feelings of sadness in their lives after what her father had done.
He hoped they’d both learn to forgive him in the future, but right now he just wanted to concentrate on making up for lost time. Mason put his arms around Abigail’s waist and pulled her to him. She smelled so good, so familiar, like roses and his musky scent.
“What are you thinking, my love?” He whispered against her soft hair.
“That we’re finally home.”
“You are my home, Abby.”
“And you’re mine.”
The end.
