Alfred couldn’t believe it, but he had to, not just because of the evidence staring him in the face but also because he was present for the five hours it took Valerie to bring their children to the world. He couldn’t believe it; twenty red toes and two already hungry lips. As he watched Valerie sleep after giving birth to their twins, his children, a boy and a girl. His heart just softened towards her. He was now a father. “Alfred Adegbola is now a father”, he said out loud. “Yes, you are”, she whispered. He turned to see that she was awake and her lips were curved in that beautiful smile that always did wonders to his heart.
Susanne hurries out of the room, wearing a beautiful cream coloured lycra jumpsuit, an off the shoulders bodice that showed off her beautiful neck. As she steps into sight of the four pairs of hazel eyes, the admiration she sees in them is just what she was planning for when she dressed that evening. But the admiration in the older man is what made her tingle.
“Are you sure you will be alright with her till my mom wakes up”, she said to the younger man. Zeal answered, “Sure, Ma’am. Can’t you see the way she is giggling? We’ll be fine. Have a good time at the theatre”.
Susanne planted a peck on her daughter’s cheek and walked out with Valentine. He had pleaded with Susanne to come back with him but she had told him that they should take things slow. So now they were dating. And so far so good, Susanne was enjoying herself. Not once has she felt insecure with him. She knew he still loved Valerie but this time he was choosing to be with her and she was content with that. When Alfred called to tell her of the birth of his twins, she was overjoyed. If there is anyone that deserved a happy ending, it was Alfred and he chose to take his wife back. Life is all about choices and every man owes it to himself to make wise ones because our life is governed by our daily choices.
