“’Scuse me,” Sin grumbled, seemingly pissed off, as he shouldered past me.
I had to jump backward to keep him from brushing against me. Something in which all three of them noticed.
“Hunt doesn’t like being touched,” Six said. “You dumbass.”
Sin rolled his eyes. “Fuck off.”
“Sorry, what?” Six crossed her arms over her chest.
“Uh-oh,” Wyett said around another mouthful of food. “You better run before she goes all Sixmo on your ass.”
“Sorry.” Sin pinched the bridge of his nose. “It’s just that I’m having a really big problem, and I don’t know what to do. I’m still processing.”
The fact that he was even saying anything at all surprised me. Normally Sin was very open with giving you words, but not necessarily having any substance to his words. If that made any sense at all.
“What kind of problem?” Six asked, interested now. “A woman problem?”
The way Sin flinched at the ‘woman problem’ made me narrow my eyes in concern.
It wasn’t like Sin at all.
I’d only known him for a very short time, and in that time, I knew him to be very jovial. He was a typical flirt. He gave as good as he got. But we never really got into depth when it came to him. He never gave away anything about him personally, now that I thought about it.
I didn’t even know if he had any family.
“Yeah, you could say that,” Sin grumbled. “The kind that comes with very overprotective family that would happily kick my ass if I went there with her.”
“Sounds like you already did go there with her,” Wyett said softly. “And you want to go there again, but you’re stopping yourself. Why?”
Sin opened his mouth to deny that, but immediately snapped it back shut. “Shit.”
Wyett grinned. Then she turned and looked at me.
She had a small piece of Rice Krispie stuck to her chin, and I couldn’t stop myself from leaning forward and licking it off.
She gasped, leaning into me as I pulled her closer, and snickered. “This was messy.”
It was. That was why I’d left it in the back with the drinks. I’d watched some kid bite into one at the counter and a lot of it had wound up on the floor as well as the kid himself.
“I see that,” I said.
“Get a room.” Six pushed past Sin and us, heading in the direction of her cabin where Lynn had disappeared with their luggage.
Sin followed shortly after with his own, leaving the two of us standing there for a few long seconds.
“I don’t really know how to camp,” she murmured softly. “Do you?”
We’d briefly discussed this during the week, but both of us had been so damn busy with work that it’d been rough to get a word in edgewise. Especially when she was on night shifts, and I was on whatever shifts required to catch up with four years’ worth of work.
Doing anything that Lynn needed first meant that I didn’t get my work done until well after normal business hours.
But I found that my work was a lot more fulfilling knowing that I had a purpose when it came to what I did with Lynn.
Helping people had always been my goal when I’d set out to fix the world.
“Let’s go,” she said as she climbed up on the tire and pulled out the air mattress that we’d ordered off of Amazon and hadn’t bothered to take out of the box yet.
I allowed her to get that while I got the large tub filled with whatever Wyett had thought we would need.
Turned out, when I opened it in the small but clean cabin, it was sheets, toiletries, food and everything else she thought we would need for the weekend.
Including lube.
I grinned wickedly. “What’s this?”
She grinned back. “Not for what you think, I promise.”
I didn’t know what it was she had it for, but I was definitely curious to find out.
• • •
My curiosity was appeased an hour later when I walked down to the water’s edge and stared in surprise.
“It’s a slip and slide.”
Wyett’s excited words had me turning to her.
Only, when I turned it was to find her running down the hill, the bottle of lube in her hands as she shook it at Six like a trophy.
“I got the lube!”
Those four words had all of the men around the campsite snapping their heads up.
Even Bruno, the resident asshole and quiet man, looked up from his chair at the edge of the lake.
The lake went down a large hill, then all but sheared off into the water.
There was a rather large dock, steps leading from the dock, and not much else but leafy green trees and water for miles.
“Score!” Six clapped, turning to the large black mat that was on the ground by her feet. “We’re gonna need it since the water hose has like, zero pressure.”
They’d run a water hose from the campsite nearest, which happened to be ours, and then allowed it to slowly trickle down the length of the black tarp-like thing.
When Wyett arrived with the bottle, she uncapped it and slowly started to pour it down the length of the makeshift slip and slide until she reached the water’s edge. Then she turned around and repeated the process until the entire bottle was empty.
“Ummm,” Sin said as he watched Six and Wyett. “This looks like it’s going to be dangerous.”
“It might,” Zach said. “I haven’t been on a slip and slide in a long time. But what I do remember are grass burns, broken fingers from going head first, and bruises on the front of my body from running and sliding.”
“I remember just having a whole lot of fucking fun,” Swayze murmured. “I can’t run anymore like I used to, though.”
In between an injury when she was younger, and a broken leg more recently that she was still sporting a boot that kept her lower leg immobile for, I wouldn’t imagine so.
“You can sit this one out,” Trick suggested. “Maybe take some photos for your own personal enjoyment.”
Trick ripped his shirt off and then started on his jeans.
“Hope you have swim trunks under there,” she murmured softly.
I heard a belt clink on my other side and saw Sin doing much the same.
“Nope,” Trick said. “Didn’t think to pack any swim trunks.” He handed his beer off to Swayze. “Hold this so I don’t spill it.”
He’d managed not to spill it at the removal of his shirt, but apparently the pants were another story.
Swayze took it and watched with hungry eyes as her man undressed. Then handed it back when he was down to boxers and nothing else.
“You first, Hunt,” Wyett called loudly.
I was already shaking my head.
“Sorry, but hell no. I don’t do lake water,” I murmured.
And I didn’t.
I’d never done lake water. It grossed me the fuck out.
And it wasn’t the fish, or even the possibility of gators—which you couldn’t convince me that there weren’t any in there—but it was the thought of what else was in the lake.
Like dead bodies.
You couldn’t convince me that those weren’t in there, either.
Just because you couldn’t see them, didn’t mean they weren’t there.
Speaking of…
“Did you hear that there was a twenty-one-year-old that tried to swim the length of the lake and then drowned?” I asked. “It happened yesterday. At the marina right over there.” I pointed across the lake at a small speckle of shimmery glass.
“That’s sad,” Wyett said as she started stripping off her shorts.
When the bright red fabric of a bathing suit came into view, I breathed a sigh of relief.
Wyett’s body was a work of art. In her underwear and bra, she made the breath stall in my chest.
I didn’t know that I could handle her trouncing around in her underwear for all to see.
She was mine, and I’d never liked sharing my toys.

CHAPTER 13
To be clear, the South is not afraid of a hurricane. They’re afraid of having no power in ninety degree heat.
-Wyett to Hunt
WYETT
The first person to try out the slip and slide was Six.
With everyone watching on, she took a running start, then launched herself down the length of the black mat butt first.
She started to veer off about halfway down, but she was able to stick her foot out and correct her trajectory.
Lynn came up to my side about the time she started to even out on the flat ground.
Seconds later she was launched over the side of the lake and went up high before falling into the murky depths.
When she came up for breath moments later, the man at my side took his first full breath.
“She’s pregnant,” he said. “Should she really be doing that?”
I knew my friend was pregnant.
She’d been that way for a while.
“You could try to tell her not to,” Bruno drawled. “But I highly doubt that she’d stop. She still rides on the back of your bike, and you said you weren’t going to do that anymore.”
“Because,” Six said from right in front of us, “he’ll keep me safe. No matter what. What does it matter if I ride? I’m not even showing yet.”
She wasn’t.
In her tank top and bathing suit bottoms that she’d borrowed from me—because she wasn’t getting her no-boob self in the top—she looked as normal as ever.
If I didn’t know she was pregnant, then I wouldn’t assume that she was based on the look of her.
“Who’s next?” Six clapped, causing droplets of lube and water to splash on us all.
Trick decided he was next and launched himself down the path face first.
He went much faster than Six had and landed even farther into the lake with a whoop.
All the while he held onto his beer.
When he went under, he managed to keep the thing above water.
“Now that’s skill,” I mused.
Hunt threw his arm around my shoulders. “You next?”
I gave him a thumb up and pulled out of his arms, even though I loved being in them.
“Yep,” I confirmed.
Then I was headed down the black tarp, too.
Years ago, when we were in high school, the girls had done this at the lake on campus. And we’d realized rather quickly that we would need something to make it slicker next time.
We’d used dish soap. Baby oil. Olive oil.
None of them had worked well.
Hence the lube.
It was the only thing that we’d found that would work well with water and continue to work.
Though, it was slightly expensive.
The bottle had been well over ten dollars, and we’d used it already.
“You know,” he said softly, right against the side of my head. “I could’ve probably found a better use for that lube.”
A delicious chill ran down the length of my spine.
“Go.” He spanked my ass, causing me to take a small step forward at the sting.
I looked over my shoulder at him. “Are you sure you won’t go?”
He looked at the water and shuddered. “Yeah, no. Sorry.”
I gave him a smile then went.
And again.
And again.
In the end, it was Six, Beckham and me that went the most.
Two hours later, I was exhausted, covered in grass and lube, and smiling so wide that I hadn’t realized how much I needed today’s release until right that second.
I was so focused on getting to the showers that at first, I hadn’t realized I’d been followed.
I’d just made it to the shadows of the campground bathrooms when I was tugged up against a very hard body, and deep into the darkness.
I gasped, wiggling at first because I was convinced I was being abducted and kidnapped.
But just as suddenly as that thought hit my brain, it dissipated because that hard body that belonged to my man was then pressed up against me.
And over the last week, I’d really come to know that body.
“You’ll get dirty,” I breathed, placing my hands on his naked chest.
At some point, he’d lost his shirt and his jeans.
He’d changed into loose knit shorts and tennis shoes, and he’d gone hiking around the area with Lynn.
He’d come back all sweaty and sexy right before it started to get dark, and I’d had a lot of fun checking him out in between slides.
Now, he was pressing his just-as-slick body up against mine, and I finally had him where I wanted him.
“God,” he breathed. “What is it about you that makes me want to fuck you all day long?”
I swallowed hard. “I don’t know. But if it makes you feel better, I’m thinking more about sex now than I have in my entire life.”
“Because it’s me and you,” he rumbled, pressing his lips against my throat.
CHAPTER 14
Just because the trash is thrown away in my office trash can, doesn’t mean that I actually finished it off.
-Text from Wyett to Hunt upon explaining why the bag of M&M’s were in her trash can
WYETT
I was about to open my mouth to reply that yes, it was indeed because it was him and me, but before I could voice my words, he picked me up by the waist.
Instinctively, I wrapped my legs around his waist and threw my arms around his neck.
He chuckled and walked out of the shadows into the men’s bathroom. “Slippery.”
I blinked at the suddenness of light, then looked down into Hunt’s mischievous eyes as he slowly started to inch my top up over my breasts.
I opened my mouth to say something, but a booming voice caught me off guard.
“Hunt, that you?” Sin called from one of the far stalls.
I blinked, then started to wriggle in his arms, my eyes wide.
“Yeah,” Hunt called out, voice normal as could be.
“Could you drag my bag to me? I forgot my soap,” Sin asked.
I looked down toward the ground and found two bags. One Hunt’s, and one likely Sin’s.
“Sure,” Hunt said as he walked to the bags and picked them both up.
He grunted when he got to Sin’s bag.
“What the fuck do you have in here?” he asked. “Rocks?”
“Guns.” Sin chuckled. “Don’t leave home without them.”
“Isn’t it illegal for you to have guns?” Hunt asked curiously.
“Isn’t it illegal for you to hack into other people’s shit?” he countered. “Because correct me if I’m wrong, but you probably do more illegal shit on your end than I do on mine.”
“Touché.” Hunt moved the bag until it was dragged up close to the flimsy plastic shower curtain.
I started to slip out of his arms, and Hunt dropped his bag in order to catch me.
My upper body went through the dividing curtain, and I squeezed my eyes shut so I wouldn’t get an eyeful of naked Sin.
“Umm,” Sin said. “I think that you’re in the wrong bathroom, girl.”
I barely peeked one eye open, ready to slam it shut in seconds if I needed to, but luckily found most of his unmentionables covered.
He had soap sluicing down the length of his body, and I forced myself to keep my eyes above groin level.
“Sorry,” Hunt called to Sin as he pulled me back out of the curtained off area. “She’s slippery.”
“And in the men’s bathroom,” Sin repeated loudly. “Just at least wait until I’m out of here before you start doing anything nefarious. Remember, I don’t have anything other than my hand to use, and that doesn’t seem to be enough lately.” He paused. “Unless you’re inviting me to join in.”
The “fuck no” that exploded out of Hunt had me grinning and wiggling closer.
“Don’t worry,” I breathed in his ear as he squatted down carefully to pick up his ba
g, then walked into our own small stall. “I’ll keep it down until you leave.”
He threw his head back and laughed, and my body slid down his by an inch.
“Sit still,” Hunt ordered.
I snickered. “Yes, sir.”
His eyes twinkled as he dropped the bag down on the bench right inside the shower stall, then moved forward until he could reach the faucet.
He wrenched it on as far as it would go, and then leaned backward out of the spray.
But not far enough.
Because the cold water went right down the length of my back, causing me to nearly fall straight out of his arms.
“Eeep!” I cried out, trying to get away.
He laughed and let me go, my feet hitting the ground with a solid thump.
I jolted when I hit the floor, leaning into him to keep from falling all the way to the floor.
He was now covered in dirt and grass just like me.
I grinned up at him, then leaned forward and tweaked his nipple with my thumb and forefinger.
“Ow!” he cried out.
“You dropped me!” I laughed.
He shucked his shorts, and I was no longer laughing.
Because his cock, the beautiful, most perfectly long and wide, best peen I’d ever seen, was absolutely nothing to laugh at.
Nope.
It was something to worship.
To kiss.
To love.
To suck…
“I want to suck it,” I told him as I shucked my clothes seconds later.
“Oh, God,” Sin cried. “Please, for the love of all that’s holy.”
I winced.
“It needs a wash,” Hunt said as he pushed me into the shower.
I nearly drowned and came up sputtering.
Throwing my hair back out of my face, now streaming with water, I focused on his face.
“Hey!” I cried.
“Soap,” he yelled, placing it into my hand.
“I don’t use soap first,” I disagreed, trying to hand it back to him.
He took the bar from me and washed it over my breasts with an efficient, no-nonsense attitude that had me reeling.
I’d just thought to grab the bar myself and take over when he whipped me around and tackled my back.
His hands then smoothed down over my ass, causing me to pause.
