Stocking Stuffers: A Santa’s Coming Short Story Page 2

by Olivia Hawthorne

  Like they owned me.

Their mere presence unsettled me, left me feeling a little shaky and uncertain of myself. After a lonely night thinking about life and love and the two of them…both of them at the same time, god, I was flustered.

I felt like they could see into my head, my inner most private thoughts and knew what I had dreamt about.

“Same for me,” Logan said and picked up the menu I dropped in front of him. “What’s good in the morning?”

“The usual, eggs or pancakes. I’m cooking this morning so anything you’d like,” I said.

Sterling looked me up and down, raised his eyebrow and in a deep, sexy tone he said, “Anything?”

I felt my cheeks go bright red and I stammered, “Yes, anything…on the menu.”

Logan flipped his menu over, scanned it quickly and flipped it back to read it again. “I don’t see you on here,” he said with a crooked grin that left my insides fluttering and my knees weak.

  “Oh, ha ha, you know…”

My voice trailed off and I was saved by the jingling of the bell above the door. My regulars, Norm and Ellen, came in for their usual coffee and hours by the window at their favorite table to discuss everything from politics to religion and whatever else would result in loud arguments.

“I’ll bring your coffees,” I said quickly and did my best to ignore the Murphy twins chuckling at my fleeing form.

I brought them their mugs of coffee and fled before they could order, pretending to rush to the regulars table.

Norm and Ellen had been joined by old Ted and Lee, two more of my regulars.

I stopped by their table and said, “I know, you all want the usual.”

Ellen laughed and said, “You’d think after coming here for twenty years we’d all want something different by now.”

“I guess my scrambled eggs and bacon are legendary,” I grinned.

“Or you’re basically the only place in town,” Norm grumbled good heartedly.

“Oh wow, thanks for that,” I laughed. I playfully hit him with my apron string. “Now do you want your usual or what?”

“I think you’d better hurry up with ours, the way those guys are watching you looks like you’ll be their next meal if they don’t eat soon,” Ellen said, shifting her gaze to the Murphy twins.

I glanced over at them and they were watching me, Logan was turned in his seat and Sterling was facing my direction.

I went hot red again, my cheeks were flaming. “Okay, I’ll get everybody their food before I get mobbed by my hungry customers.”

I went back out to take the regulars their coffees, then flipped my notepad open and headed to the Murphy twins to take their orders.

When I got there, they looked up and down at me and I suddenly did feel like I was on the menu. The heat in their eyes was as identical as their gorgeous faces.

“You figure out what you want to eat?” I asked, keeping as cool and calm as possible considering my heart was pounding and my mouth was dry.

“How long have you been working here, Millie?” Sterling asked, looking me in the eye.

“Since high school graduation,” I replied. I braced myself for them to mock me or curl their lips in disgust that I hadn’t done anything meaningful with my life.

“You never left Rocky Lodge?” Logan asked.

“No,” I replied and suddenly I felt very stupid and very boring in front of them because I’d never left town…and exactly how I had as a teenager years ago when they’d had throngs of sophisticated, beautiful city girls hanging around them, desperate for their attention.

  And I didn’t like it.

“So are you gonna order something or not?” I snapped, my insecurities bubbling to the surface as belligerent defiance.

They looked at each other and recoiled from me a little, like I’d slapped them. They ordered though, a three stack of pancakes, four slices of thick cut bacon, three eggs, homemade hash browns and thick slices of homemade toast for each of them.

I scribbled in my notebook and couldn’t help but sneak yet another quick look at them as I picked up the menus.

I noted that they were still amazingly toned with almost equal builds, broad shoulders with massive, muscled biceps bulging under their tight suit shirts.

They were gorgeous, simply gorgeous…and it was so damned unfair.

I walked into the back and got everybody’s food prepared.

The regulars were easier, so I did theirs first.

I took them out and smiled at each of them as I set their plates in front of them.

I was about to turn and walk away when Lee, our resident grouchy old man, grabbed my arm.

“What are those suits doing here?” he asked, nodding back at the twins.

“I don’t know, reminiscing about the good old days maybe? Their family had a chalet at the ski hill,” I replied.

“You sure they’re not the ones coming to pour money into the mountain?” he asked.

“You know there have been investors sniffing around for a couple weeks,” Ellen said. “I thought you would have heard about it by now.”

“No, I’ve heard nothing,” I replied and looked back at the twins. I wondered if that was why they were here, it would make sense.

What else could have brought them back to our boring little town?

“Well, I hope they fuck off,” Ted grunted. “We don’t want them city people back in town. It was too crowded when they were here.”

“It might be good for the town though,” Ellen said. “New money might give it a boost.”

“New money means new people coming in and flooding our favorite spots. Like here, what will Millie do if the restaurant gets too crowded? We’ll lose our table for god’s sake,” Ted argued.

“You guys will always a place in here, I promise I’ll reserve your table for all eternity,” I grinned, turned, left them to argue amongst themselves and walked back to finish the Murphy twins’ breakfast.

I whipped up a pretty damned good breakfast, if I might say so myself. I took it out and left it on their table, ignored their attempts at small talk and spent the rest of the day wondering if that’s why they were here.

Were the Murphy twins coming back to Rocky Lodge to develop the old ski hill? Would they be sticking around this time?

And even more importantly, would I ever unravel these complicated feelings that seemed to squirm around in my stomach every time they were around?

The day was long and there really were more customers than usual in spite of the snow falling continuously until the time I left.

I was exhausted and couldn’t wait to get home, shovel my walkway, clear my driveway of snow, and light a fire to get my little house warm and toasty.

There was only one more day before Christmas and I had to admit it that I enjoyed the lights on the houses along the way. I felt a pang of loneliness and regret at the fact that I’d done no decorating this year, my place was so dark and dreary when I returned at the end of the day.

When I pulled up and turned down my driveway, I was surprised to find it plowed.

What a nice little bonus, it must have been one of my neighbors clearing out a few extra driveways as a nice Christmas gift.

I’d have to find out who it was and give them a tin of cookies or something to thank them.

When I pulled up to my house though, I was even more surprised to find the walkway cleared and the snow blown from every path around the garage and the house.

Even the deck was cleared of snow, and I never cleared the deck.

A strange black pickup was parked in front of my garage and I pulled up beside it to find out who my generous neighbor was….but it was the Murphy twins.

I hopped out as they climbed out of their truck and I stood with my feet apart and my hands on my hips.

“What the hell are you two doing here?” I demanded.

“I thought you might like a little help,” Logan said with a smile.

  “Yeah, we kinda broke in
to your garage and used your snow blower and shovels though,” Sterling added. “I hope you’re not mad, Millie.”

  “I’m not mad, I’m just…confused. Why?”

“We had the day off and thought what better way to spend it than helping you,” Logan replied.

“We saw how you work your ass off, this is just a small gesture to help you out,” Sterling said.

I sighed dramatically and against my better judgement, I invited them inside for some hot cocoa with liqueur.

“I’ll get your fire going,” Logan said once we were inside, but the way they both raked their eyes up my form when I shrugged out of my heavy winter jacket let me know they’d have more on fire if they had their way.

“Sounds good,” I squeaked. “I’ll make our drinks.”

  “I’ll help,” Sterling said.

It was pretty surreal, having them in my little house. It felt too small, their presence was so large and so inescapable. Everywhere I turned there was the scent of their musk, a glimpse of bulging man muscle, the sound of a deep voice.

I was beside myself with nervous energy, as if they could see my secret fantasy of having them both at once.

“Why don’t you have a tree up?” Sterling asked once the three of us were sitting on my big leather couch near the fireplace.

“I’m not in the Christmas mood this year,” I replied.

  “What’s going on?” Logan asked.

“My dad died. I’m alone. I’ve got plans to serve Christmas dinner at the diner, but that’s about it. I couldn’t bring myself to decorate at home.”

“That’s a real shame,” Logan said, looking into my eyes. “A beautiful woman like you shouldn’t be alone during the holidays.”

  “Or ever, really,” Sterling added.

I was sitting between them and the heat from their bodies almost matched the heat from the fire. I was flustered but didn’t want to move an inch.

I was basically in heaven, my dream come true, but I felt if I moved too quickly or breathed too deeply, it would all melt away from me like snowflakes in the sunshine.

“I don’t think…I mean, I’m Rocky Lodge beautiful, but nothing compared to the women you know in the city,” I stammered.

I felt Logan shift to the right of me, he cleared his throat. “That’s insane. Ridiculous.”

“Impossible,” Sterling said on my left. “I can’t believe you don’t know how stunning you are.”

“Did you guys get married or anything?” I asked, hoping to direct the conversation elsewhere.

“No, we’ve been so busy with our education and building our property development corporation,” Sterling told me.

“And thinking about you, actually,” Sterling said with a crooked grin.

I gulped down my hot cocoa and let the warmth of the alcohol fill my belly and spread through my body.

“That’s silly, I haven’t seen you guys in years,” I replied.

“But I know you’ve been thinking about us,” Logan said.

“And I know you’ve been thinking about this,” Sterling said and reached up, cupped his hand on my cheek and leaned forward.

I didn’t know if he was going to kiss me, but the blood thrummed through my body so hard that I thought I was going to pass out.

But if I passed out I would miss it…the kiss…

  Chapter Four

His lips were delicious, they were full and soft and tasted like hot cocoa.

Behind me I felt Logan’s hands on my shoulders and wondered if I was dreaming. Had I fallen asleep somewhere and fallen into this dreamy fantasy of mine?

“I’ve been thinking about this for years,” Logan said, his voice deep and his breathing rapid. “I’ve been thinking about touching you…knowing you…”

He brushed my hair out of the way and kissed my neck, his mouth was hot and his hands were so incredible, kneading and rubbing the tension and misery out of my back and limbs.

Sterling kept kissing me, his mouth persistent and delicious. His hand cupped the back of my head holding me tight so he could crush my lips with his and swirl his tongue around mine.

I melted back into Logan’s arms and Sterling moved against me, pressing me between the two men, the two gorgeous, unbelievably hot men of my dreams.

Logan moved his hands down under my shirt from behind and lifted it. It was all happening so fast I couldn’t mentally keep up, it felt too fast…but it felt so good I didn’t want it to stop.

He massaged my breasts through my bra and Sterling kept kissing me, his mouth making the heat in me rise to surface.

“I want to taste you, all of you,” Logan growled in my ear and I shivered at the thought of him between my thighs.

His hand move down from my breasts, skated across my quivering abdomen to the top of my jeans. He fumbled with my button, so I reached down and helped him, and he pulled them open with one quick gesture.

I moaned, I couldn’t help it. Sterling’s mouth on mine, Logan’s hands on my body, his hot breath and hotter words in my ears…the moan erupted from my belly. A feral sound, uncontrollable and wild.

“I’ve dreamed about this moment for years,” Logan whispered and his hand slipped lower, past the edge of my panties until he cupped my shaved pussy. I mentally thanked myself for keeping it groomed down there.

He parted my cleft with his finger and slipped it in, his arm crossing my body from behind, cradling me and keeping me still.

I gasped against Sterling’s mouth as Logan’s finger slid across my clit, sending spikes of bright sensation up and down my body.

Sterling broke away and cupped my face in both hands as he looked at me.

His blue eyes sparked with urgent desire and the light from the fire played across the angled planes of his face and lips that were still wet from kissing me.

“I’m tasting her first,” he said, his eyes daring back to Logan. “Sorry, bro, I have to have her.”

“Dammit, Sterling. Just because you were born first doesn’t mean you get everything first,” Logan said but there was laughter in his words, he wasn’t serious. “I’ll get my turn really fast, I’m not too worried.”

“Do you have a preference?” Sterling asked as he dropped between my legs and looked up at me. “I mean, ladies first and all that. We might both want you so fucking bad, but we are gentlemen at heart.”

“I don’t…I mean, no. I haven’t thought about it,” I said, my eyes darting away as I lied.

He tugged at my jeans and I wiggled my hips while still in Logan’s embrace, helping Sterling remove my pants.

“Wait,” I said and Sterling stopped as he pulled off my panties. He looked up at me expectantly. “I lied,” I said. “I’ve thought about this a lot. Too much actually. But I’ve never thought about who I’d be with first, you know?”

Sterling’s eyes glittered as he looked up from between my thighs. “You’ve been thinking about this?” he asked with a teasing smile and he bent to kiss my pussy.

“Or this?” I gasped as he slid his finger along my dripping wet slit.

“Yes,” I groaned. “Yes…all of it, all of this…”

“We’ll give you what you want,” Logan rasped. “We’ll give you exactly what you need.”

I shook my head in disbelief as Sterling dipped his face lower and spread my lips with his fingers. He licked and sucked my pussy like he was kissing my mouth and I bucked against his face.

“Fuck,” I moaned and let myself go. I figured if they were only in town for a couple days, checking out the old resort, investing their money and heading back to the city…fuck it…I was going to let this fantasy come to life. “I love this…I needed this so bad.”

“I need you,” Logan said and pulled at me. I turned in his lap and he put his huge hand on my jawline and tilted my face to him…and he kissed me.

Logan’s mouth was fierce and demanding, much more so than Sterling. His tongue was more dominant, pressing mine down, filling my mouth and claiming me again and again.
>
I twisted in his arms and Sterling’s mouth never moved from my pussy. He sucked me so hard, flicked his tongue across my clit and drove me mad with the urge to come.

I finally felt it, the sensation building up in the core of my body until it was too much for me to hold inside of me anymore.

My orgasm reached the peak and crested like a wave crashing on the shore, my body bucked and rocked but two sets of strong hands kept me in place.

Sterling was relentless, he didn’t slow down the movement of his tongue on my clit while Logan swirled his tongue around mine.

I finally gave in, I screamed against Logan’s mouth until it slowed into a steady, low moan of release.

I collapsed in his arms against his body, Sterling’s mouth slowed on my clit until he finally stopped and drew back.

He moved slowly, kissing his way up my inner thigh as Logan released my mouth from his.

I leaned against Logan and Sterling massaged me slowly as he moved up.

It was his turn to kiss me then, I could taste myself on his mouth and smell myself on his flesh.

It turned me on, I felt dirty loving it, but it made me so hot knowing his mouth had just been licking me, sucking me.

“You’re just as beautiful as I remember,” Logan whispered in my ear.

Sterling drew back, looked me in the eyes and said, “Maybe even more beautiful.”

“This can’t be real,” I sighed. “This is just a dream…”

“It’s real, baby girl,” Logan chuckled. “And now it’s my turn to taste you.”

The next morning was like a hangover. I was exhausted and alone in my bed.

I would have thought it was a dream but I ached, my body felt sore from the release of tension.

They’d both tasted me, kissed me, licked me…and then left.

We’d talked a little here and there, but I hadn’t learned any more about the Murphy twins than I’d know before.

But I considered their visit a little gift, a surprise to give me in the worst year of my life.

They left some time around three and I’d gone to bed.

And I never expected to see them again.

I wasn’t surprised when they weren’t at the restaurant for breakfast, and I served my regulars a special Christmas Eve morning breakfast casserole with fancy French roast coffee.
