He was just lucky. So very damn lucky. As the JP began the ceremony and he waited, waited to say the vows that would seal them together, officially, forever, he counted every blessing and thanked every lucky star and all that other corny stuff people said to do. He never believed in miracles before he met Carrie, but he was even willing to go so far as to become a total cliche and say he currently did. Because she was his. His miracle, his wonder, his love, his life. She was his soul, his spirit, his breath.
When he looked back on his life it really was a miracle he was standing where he was, with the most wonderful, gorgeous, kind, talented, amazing woman in the world. And if that wasn’t a miracle, he didn’t know what was.
