“Brooks,” I squeak between kisses. “We can’t. Everyone's outside. They’re coming.”
“Not before we do, baby,” he snarls and throws me over his shoulder. He stalks upstairs to my bedroom and tosses me playfully onto the bed.
“I would rip this thing off of you if I could.” He lifts my wedding dress up to my waist and I instinctively spread my legs for him. He plunges inside and fills my body and my soul. “I could barely contain myself as you walked down that aisle,” he says as he glides in and out of me. “Pictures of my hard dick in linen pants are going to be all over ESPN. So fucking beautiful, and all mine,” he says with heat in voice. His rhythmic thrusting becomes harder and faster.
“Mrs. McCarthy,” he says breathlessly. “You’re… my… everything.”
“I love you, husband,” I purr into his ear as the heat sends shock waves through me. With my words, his thrusts become more sporadic. “Mac,” I breathe as stars shoot through me.
“KK,” he stammers and finds his release as he calls my name.
We roll over, each winded and bursting with so much emotion. A tear runs down Brooks’ cheek.
“Mac,” I say as I sit myself up and wipe his cheek with my thumb.
“I didn’t think I could be this happy, KK. I didn’t think this was in the cards for me, you know. If our future is anything like the last two years, I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to make you as happy as you’ve made me.”
“Brooks, you already do. Me. You. And our little nugget.” I pause, waiting for my words to register.
Brooks shoots up from the bed. “What?”
“I just found out this morning, babe. I’m about six weeks pregnant. I couldn’t wait to tell you,” I squeal.
“OH MY GOD!” he yells and starts jumping up and down like a cheerleader on crack.
Then he stops to think. “What are you doing?” I ask.
“Shh, I’m counting,” he says and closes his eyes in concentration. The ice blue of his eyes drills into me as they burst open when the realization hits him.
“Your birthday,” he whispers.
“Best birthday present ever.” I nod and smile.
I stopped taking my birth control when we were close enough to the wedding that I wouldn’t be showing, but early enough to make sure if I got pregnant on our first try (which I did with Brooks’ super sperm) I wouldn’t have the baby until after the Super Bowl. Just in case.
“So you’re gonna flaunt my baby on ESPN during the Super Bowl?” He snickers at himself.
“Abso-fucking-lutely.” I grin and rub the spot where our little nugget is baking. He jumps back onto the bed.
“One more round before we make nice with our guests?” He smirks, but I know it isn’t really a question. I could make love to my husband every single day.
“One more is never going to be enough, you know that,” I concede. His lips find mine again and our tongues dance magically together. This round is more sensual. More love making, and less lustful fucking. I love how we can bounce between the two dynamics effortlessly.
We will eventually make it our wedding reception, but right now, my heart is full. Full of love for my husband and our future MVP.
