Blaze's Mark (Devil's Riot MC: Originals Book 3) Page 5

by E. C. Land

“You ready to go?” I ask, more than ready to get Raven home and to myself for the rest of the day. I mean her and I have only been married a couple hours and all hell has broken loose thanks to Dixie.

“Yeah whenever you are. Until those results show that baby is yours, which by the way it won’t, you don’t need to deal with her,” Raven says as she throws her head in Dixie’s direction.

“Excuse me, I’m standing right here,” Dixie snaps.

“How can I forget when I can smell the stench of skank lingering all around you? Oh, and let’s not forget the fact the deception that’s just rolling off of you as you try to con your way into my man’s life. Bitch please, that shit ain’t gonna fly with me. Go find that baby’s real father because the moment it’s born, you’re dead. A target has been set on you.” With that Raven curls her lip once more before walking away.

Oh, she’s more than pissed. The Dark Spirit in her is out for blood.

  Raven

The bitch was fuckin’ dead. Soon as that baby pops out, I’m taking her life. I may have been in shock this morning when I realized I’d married Blaze on a drunken whim, but I’ve decided to give us a chance.

After the way he was able to soothe me during the pressure of everything, I want to see if he is to me what my dad is to my mom. Her anchor.

I knew when Blaze got back from the lab Dixie would try something stupid. What I didn’t know was that I’d be filled with a raging jealousy at seeing her put Blaze’s hand on her stomach. Didn’t matter that it wasn’t his child. I’d felt a sting of pain roll off him for a brief second and doubts started to seep in.

Would he change his mind if I’m wrong?

Sure, he says that right now that I’m his wife and the one he wants. However, the bond a parent has with its child is sometimes worth more than being with the one you love. I’ve seen it happen.

Leaving the clubhouse, Blaze must have needed the ride because instead of going straight to my house or wherever, we just rode.

The winds though still spoke to me, they weren’t screaming like they’d been earlier on the ride in. Closing my eyes, I lay my head against Blaze’s shoulder and relax for the first time today.

I don’t know how long we rode around but when the bike comes to a stop and the motor is cut, I open my eyes. Glancing around I realize we’re at a cemetery.

“What’s going on Blaze?” I ask.

“Liam. Here, just like when we’re home together with no one else around, I’m not Blaze,” he murmurs, patting my leg motioning for me to hop off.

Confused by the tone in his voice, I climb off and wait for him. With a deep sigh, Blaze joins me silently and takes my hand as he guides me through the rows of headstones until we get to one right next to a large oak tree.

Reading the words engraved into the stone my heart sinks.

  Laura Ann Morgan

  July 20, 2000 – October 4, 2002

Beautiful daughter who will never be forgotten

“Liam?” I tilt my head to meet his gaze, he’s not looking at me but at the stone.

“Laura was my daughter,” he whispers as he let’s go of my hand to sit on the ground. Patting the ground next to him, I do as he wants. Right now, I’d do anything he needed. “When I was seventeen, she’d come into this world kicking and screaming, becoming the light of my life. Her mom and I married when we found out. I thought I was doing the right thing but in the end it wasn’t.”

Shaking his head, Blaze finally meets my gaze.

“Not long after Laura was born, I found Rissa, her mom, in bed with my father high as a fuckin’ kite. Filed for divorce and cut all ties with my family. Rissa and I had shared custody of my little girl. I should have done more to get her from the woman, but I thought she loved her daughter. The day it happened; I went to pick her up for my weekend. Rissa, of course, pulled her typical stunt and I had to wait for her to go get her from her mom’s house.”

Breath hitching, Blaze turns his attention back to his daughter’s grave. “I waited for a while and when she didn’t return, I headed for Rissa’s parents’ house. As I got closer to their home, I was stopped due to an accident. That accident was Rissa’s car smashed into the guardrail on the other side of the bridge.”

“Liam,” I whisper, lifting a hand to touch him.

Blaze tilts his head slightly in my direction. “I never got to hold my daughter or even tell her goodbye. She’d died on impact, thanks to her mother not fastening her into her car seat properly. Rissa’s lucky she’d died as well that day because I wanted to kill her.”

I want nothing more than to kill his ex-wife myself for doing this to him. Taking something so precious from him.

Wanting to comfort him, I shift from sitting next to him to his lap and wrap my arms around his neck. No words are needed for this moment as I hold this man to me.

All my doubts that had started to seep inside me earlier dissipate. There’s no way he’d ever have brought me here if he didn’t want me.

“I wanted to bring you here for two reasons. One, so you’d know the truth as to why I’ve fought what I felt for you for so long. I didn’t want to deal with another person doing to me what Rissa did. Two, if the lab results come back that I am the father of that child, I’m not turning my back on it. If that’s going to be too much for you, I’d understand but doesn’t mean I’m giving up on you either.” My breath catches at his declaration.

I’m not wrong. I can’t be, but if I am, can I deal with Dixie constantly?

No, because you’ll kill the bitch.

True I would. She deserves to die for all but bringing this pain Blaze has carried with him to the surface again.

“I’m sorry Liam, so so sorry. If I could take your pain away, I’d do it in a heartbeat,” I murmur into his neck.

“I wouldn’t want you to do that. It’s my job to protect you from the pain. I mean what I say when I say I want you. You’re my Little Bird with wings spread ready to fly but I don’t want you flying without me. We do this life together from here on out,” Blaze states, lifting a hand to grip my chin, tilting my head up to meet his gaze.

  “But . . .”

“No buts Little Bird. I’ve got no problem telling you I love you because I do. Does that mean I’ll let you walk all over me? Fuck no. I know you’re a wild spirit and I’ll let you fly but it’ll be with me. You and I are gonna spend the rest of our lives doing things right.” The severity in his tone and the determination rolling off him tells me there’s no way I can protest this.

Not that I wanted to anyway.

Holding his gaze, I nod my head. “Okay but don’t think I’ll let you walk all over me either mister. I won’t be chained down. Now take me home and show me just how much you love me because Liam, I love you as well.”

Most people might think it’s too soon for us to be saying those words to each other. But fuck them. I don’t need anyone telling me what’s right or wrong.

Even drunk as hell, I’d done something I’d dreamed about doing since I first met Blaze. I married him.

Fate is going to go whatever way it wants, and nothing is going to stop it from happening.

  Blaze

Over the past several days it’s been a tossup between hellacious and bliss.

After leaving the cemetery, I felt a sense of ease inside me. Like I didn’t have the weight of the world completely on my shoulders. I’d been worried about what Raven would think of me when I told her about Laura and what was going through my head since leaving the clubhouse the other day about the baby Dixie was carrying.

Raven being who she is, understood my turmoil and has stood by me each day. We’d spent the last two days with me deep inside her whenever I didn’t have to go take care of club business. She even went with me to the clubhouse every day. Evidently, she’d been on vacation from the veterinary clinic she works at, this week.

Thanks to Dixie trying to constantly cause problems at the clubhouse
everyone is ready to strangle her with her incessant whining about no one believing her. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about her until we had the results. Which thankfully came in today.

Dixie had wanted to go with me to pick them up, but that won’t be happening. Instead I’d gotten Neo, one of the prospects, to go grab them. She also threw a fit claiming Ranger wouldn’t speak the truth if he was the one who read the results, so Raven called her friend Raul’s significant other, Doctor Alverez.

Sitting at the bar, I impatiently wait for the prospect to get back as I watch Raven interact with Raul who’d come by with the Doctor. She’s laughing at something the man said and it brings a light to her face.

When the main door opens, Neo steps in holding an envelope in his hand. “Here you go Blaze.”

“Don’t give that to him,” Dixie snaps as she storms over toward us.

“Why? Do you have something to hide?” Raven snarks.

“Of course not. This child is his,” she sneers causing my woman to roll her eyes.

“How about he just hands the envelope over to me?” Alverez suggests. “I am, after all, the one who needs to read it.”

“Fine,” Dixie huffs, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Let’s get this over with,” I mutter as Raven closes the distance between us and wraps her arms around my waist.

Everyone in the room goes silent, waiting for Alverez to open the letter and scan through the results.

“You know I always wanted to say this, but Blaze you are not the father,” he says, sounding like one of those talk show hosts that comes on during the day with the chick going nuts on the stage.

Laughter burst out throughout the room as Dixie screeches mix in with them..

“Now hold on a minute though, what I’m seeing however is very interesting. It seems Dixie is pregnant by someone possibly related to you because of the numbers being so high,” Alverez states.

Furrowing my brow, I glance at Dixie then back toward the doctor. “I don’t have any siblings and both my parents were only children.”

“Is there a possibility you have a half sibling somewhere?” Stoney asks.

“Not that I know of,” I shrug. Relieved the bitch isn’t carrying my child but unsettled about the fact it is related to me. “Whose kid is it Dixie?” I demand.

Her face goes a starch white as she starts to back away from me.

“It’s yours,” she says tears welling in her eyes.

“Test proves it’s not Dixie,” I mutter. “So, tell me whose it is.”

“I suggest you tell him the truth,” Raven states.

“I am.” I’d almost think she’s convinced herself that she was telling the truth.

“You’re not.” Raven takes a step toward Dixie. “Was it his father?” she asks. It couldn’t have been. The man died of a heart attack nearly six or seven months ago.

Wait a fuckin’ minute, Dixie’s seven months pregnant.

“Oh fuck,” I snarl. “It’s my father’s, isn’t it? You fucked him, he died, and you found out you're pregnant with his kid and thought you could pin that shit on me.”

  “Fuckin’ hell.”

  “Shit that’s fucked up.”

Several other words were spoken at the same time as a burning fire began to boil to the surface inside me.

“Please Blaze,” Dixie cries, placing a hand over her stomach.

“What was this all about Dixie? Money?” I demand, already knowing the answer to the question.

“Blaze,” Raven calls out my name, but I shake her off.

Dixie’s another bitch like Rissa, greedy.

  They are all the same.

  “Answer me.”

“I–I just wanted a father for my son,” the woman says, softly.

“So, you thought since my father was dead you could come after me? I don’t fuckin’ think so.” The snarl that leaves me is venomous and I can barely see through the red haze forming in my gaze.

“Blaze,” Raven yells this time as she steps between the whore and me. “Stop it.”

“What? Are you taking this bitch’s back now?”

“You know better than that. What I’m doing is stopping you from doing something you’ll regret later,” Raven snaps, putting her hands on her hips.

“And what the fuck did you think I was gonna do?” Stepping forward once more, aware of the tension filling the room but not giving a fuck.

“Something like putting your hands on a woman who is carrying your little brother. I know you’re pissed about what she’s done. And trust me honey I want to strangle her just as much for the deceit she’s caused. However, Blaze, you need to calm down,” Raven states firmly as she removes her hands from her hips to place them on my chest.

At the light touch of her hands, a sense of ease fills me. Taking a deep breath, I step back.

“Thank you,” Raven murmurs, lifting up on her toes she presses a kiss to my lips before spinning around to face Dixie. “What is it you expect from Blaze?”

“Him to help take care of this baby,” Dixie says

“You should have just told the truth in the first place. Lying and deceit only do one thing, cause those around to look down on you. Now you’re gonna do as I say and listen to me. Until my ol’ man calms down enough to decide what he wants to do. It’s his choice but I’ll tell you now. If you try any more shit, I’ll kill you the moment this child is born, am I understood.”

Fuck is it bad if seeing Raven takin’ up for me the way she is, is causing my cock to harden.

My Little Bird definitely has her claws in me. And within the next couple of minutes she’s gonna have me inside her.

  11

  Raven

How fucked up could one person be? I mean how fuckin’ hard is it to simply tell the truth.

Liars are a pain in my ass, and I can’t stand them.

Dixie doesn’t get to answer whether or not she understands what I stated before Blaze has spun me around and over his shoulder.

Catcalls and laughter fill the room as he walks with determination toward the hall where his room is.

“Blaze what are you doing?” I call out while trying to push myself up some.

Other than a grunt Blaze doesn’t answer my question. His emotions though are making my head spin. With the way they’re all over the place, I’m surprised my head isn’t pounding from it.

The moment Blaze gets to his door and has us on the other side of it, he kicks the thing closed and strides the few feet over to where he bends forward sending me down on the mattress.

“You know besides my brothers no one has ever stuck up for me. Never had my back the way you did out there. Keeping me from doing something stupid,” Blaze remarks as he climbs on top of me, sliding his hands under the hem of my shirt.

“I only did what I thought was best for you. For us. I’m not trying to have that woman go after you. I also don’t feel like doing conjugal visits at some state pen because you did something stupid in front of a boat load of witnesses.”

“Little Bird that would never happen. Now get ready for me. You’ve got me hard as hell and I need to fuck you now,” he murmurs before lifting my shirt over my head finding that I don’t have a bra on. “Hmmm baby you should have your ass spanked for this. If any of my brothers had seen your nipples poking through that shirt, I might have had to punch them.” Tossing the shirt to the side, Blaze dips down to capture one of my nipples in his mouth.

“Liam,” I moan, running my fingers through his hair as I arch my back wanting more. He continues to nip and flick the tip of my nipple while he moves his hands down the rest of my body to unbutton my jeans.

Lifting his head from one nipple, Blaze moves to the other to give it the same lavishing attention while driving me crazy with lust. I don’t even have to worry about him touching my pussy to know I’m soaked.

If he likes the fact I’m braless, he’ll love the fact I’m not wearing any panties.

With one last nip, Blaze k
isses his way down my body to where my jeans were open. Using both his hands he yanks the denim down and off my legs leaving me naked.

“Seems you’re full of surprises Little Bird.” Giving me a quick grin, he goes in for the kill, latching onto my clit as he sinks a finger deep inside my pussy.

I take the fact I’m commando turns him on. What with the way he’s flicking my clit with his tongue, I could come at any second from the sheer pleasure.

Only right as I was about to, Blaze pulls away and stands straight. A protest is on the edge of my lips when a sense of overwhelming love starts to pour off of him, causing my breath to catch. Staring at the man, I’m in complete awe of him. Following his movements with my gaze, I lift up on my elbows to get a better view of him as he starts to strip.

Blaze removes his cut which he tosses on the chair in the corner of the room. His shirt follows right behind, followed by him toeing off his boots, and finally stripping out of his jeans. God knows the man is sinful and right now I want him more than my next breath.

How did we get here? To the point that he’s become such a part of me. I’m not dense. I know my emotions and what I want but how he’s gotten as deep as he has is kind of scary. Then again, it’s nice to be held by him and know I’m more than a booty call to him. He doesn’t hide the way he feels about me.

Not since the moment I woke up with him in my bed as his wife. Blaze shows me exactly how he feels every time he’s near me.

Holding Blaze’s gaze, I slide down the bed onto the floor where I come face to cock. I wrap my hand around him as I open my mouth, taking him as far as I could.

“Fuck Little Bird,” he groans, gripping the back of my head to control me as he slowly begins to thrust his cock in my mouth. “Your mouth feels damn good baby.”

Humming around his thickness, I reach down and run my finger along my slit, circling my clit. I sink a finger inside my pussy as Blaze begins to thrust faster into my mouth. I could sense that he was about to blow when he stops abruptly. Pulling his cock from my mouth he bends to lift me up off the floor.
