Amara (Reapers MC Book 12) Page 9

by Elizabeth Knox

I try to sit back and let her walk away, though I’ve never been a man who’s ever tolerated disrespect. I could find many other ways to say it, but that is what she did a few moments ago. As if I don’t even think, I rise and quickly catch up to her, placing my hand around the back of her neck I shove my body up against hers and pin her against the wall of the house.

My cock grows hard pressed against her ass and as I wrap my hand around her throat, I’m growling in her ear. “I will let you get away with a lot, mi reyna. Though there are things I simply won’t tolerate. We belong together. Do you hear me? I won’t let you leave me, not when I’ve just found you.”

Amara doesn’t say a word, yet she breathes heavily in and out. I spot the way her eyes are trying to defy me, showing me she is unlike any woman I’ve been interested in before. All the others would bend and fold at what I want. But not her. No, she counters me. She will speak up when it comes to what’s on her mind.

“I won’t let you go, Amara. Not now. Not ever.” I declare, hissing into her ear.

“What are you trying to do, Dante? Hmm? Push me away? Show me how crazy you are so I run for the hills?” She sneers, jolting her body against mine. I simply tighten my grip, burrowing my cock between her ass cheeks.

“I told you I wasn’t a good man. Don’t you remember?” I breathe in and exhale before I continue. “I want you.”

I release my grip on her just enough so I can turn her around to face me. She’s wearing a yellow sundress that goes down in a v, showing off her ample breasts. Her nostrils flare as she stares, watching me ogle over her decadent body.

“What? You don’t want me?” I joke with her, grazing my index finger down her sternum. I drift it slowly over her right breast, tweaking her nipple until she releases a soft moan.

“That’s what I thought,” I snicker, knowing very well how we can’t deny the chemistry between us.

“You don’t know anything, Dante.” I wonder who she’s trying to convince, me, or herself.

“I know plenty. You had no problem being with me, up until I said you were staying here. Do you want to walk away from this? From us? Hmm?” I bring my lips in front of hers until they’re almost touching. “The thing is Amara. I already know the answer.”

“You don’t know anything. I could walk away right now and not give a damn. People are replaceable.” Oh, so the woman she’s told me about is finally coming out to play. The one who everyone else hates.

“I excite you, mi reyna. You don’t want to lose this.” I murmur, looking into her almond colored eyes. I drift my hand down over her stomach, span across her thigh and sneak under her dress. She tenses up, arching her back against the stone. Her nostrils flare and she watches me get closer to her heat.

I’ve wanted to touch her like this for so long. “If you’re dry, I might let you go. But if you’re wet . . . well then, I know we’re meant to be.”

“You aren’t my captor, Dante.” She states.

“No, I’m not. I’m the man who will marry you, mi reyna. Remember this.” Spreading her lips apart, I dip a finger into her entrance and feel her essence coating me. I pull my finger from her and rub it against my thumb, sliding three fingers inside her. She gasps in the most alluring manner, slightly biting her lip in the process.

“What is it? Do you want more?” I question, fully intending on teasing her as much as possible. I’ve had to wait weeks for her, and I’ll wait however long it takes. I graze my thumb against her clit and see the way her expression turns a bit mischievous. “I’m going to fuck you so hard the neighbors call the policía.”

Taking my hand from under her dress, I unbuckle my belt, pull my zipper down and take my dick out of my boxers. I’m not slow with her, not the way I should be right now. I wanted our first time to be sensual, so I could show her what type of lover I am. Instead, Amara had to go and piss me off. Now she’ll meet the animal within me.

I grab her by the back of the head and shove her down to my hardened cock, drizzling with precum. Glancing down at her eyes, I see how furious she is. “If you want your cock sucked so badly, find someone else. I’m not a whore.”

Amara stands and starts to walk away from me. I grab her forearm and shove her against the wall, fueled with rage. “Do you enjoy toying with me? Hmm?”

“Yes,” She confesses, fully confident in her answer.

“I hope you enjoy it as much as I’ll enjoy toying with you.” I growl, yanking the skirt of her dress up, I hook my arm under her right leg and plow my cock into her entrance. She releases a loud moan at first, though my cock is quickly coated by her pleasure.

Even while fucking her she tries to defy me. I plant my other hand next to her face as I rock myself within her. Her body moves every time mine does. After a moment she begins to relax a bit and I see her skin beginning to shine with sweat.

Her walls close down on my cock, urging me to release myself inside her. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you, mi reyna?”

“Just shut up and fuck me, asshole.”

I pull my hand from the stone and shove three fingers into her mouth, pushing into her throat until she gags. The sounds coming from her mouth cause me to grow even harder, and there comes a point where I’m ramming myself inside her harder and harder. My balls slap against her soaked pussy and I make no effort to slow down.

“Fuck!” Chills run over my body and I know I’m close to cumming inside her. My balls tighten as her walls clamp down, almost like she’s wrapped a tourniquet around my balls, forcing me to cum inside her.

“I’m going to cum,” I warn her, ‘cause if she doesn’t want me to, she needs to tell me now. I’m about two seconds from exploding when Amara shifts her body. My cock is out of her and her hand’s wrapped around my shaft. I thrust while she pumps until I’m releasing myself over her torso. My seed spurts over the front of her dress, on the top of her breasts and a speck even lands on the side of her lip.

She darts her tongue out, slides it along her lip and licks it free. “Mmm, not bad.”

“I won’t let you go, Amara.” I state, sticking to our conversation from before.

“I’m not a woman who will be imprisoned ever again.”

Fuck. “I’m not imprisoning you, mi reyna. I simply can’t leave here . . . and you won’t go either. You may visit, but you will not live in America. We are meant to be together.”

Amara’s mischievous grin shifts to something more tight-lipped. “I don’t know how you’re so certain of this. About me. We barely know one another.”

I scoff, “You stupid girl. One look at you and I knew you were special. I know you don’t believe you are, but you’re a gift. I will say this one more time, and only once more. I refuse to lose you when I’ve just found you.” I crush my lips down onto Amara’s, kissing her with only fire and passion. This woman must know how much I crave her. How my body, spirit, and soul yearn for her by my side.

I will never let her leave me.

“What do you think of his offer, Father?” I question, sitting beside my father at one of the most prestigious restaurants in all of Mexico City. We’re having dinner with Cesar Alonzo, the leader of the Guatemalan Cartel.

Eduardo should’ve had this meeting, yet Cesar wanted to meet with my father and I because it directly pertained to us and our familia. Cesar has just offered me a marriage proposal to his eldest daughter, Beatriz.

“Tsk. It simply cannot happen, Cesar.” My father shakes his head, dismissing it. Guatemalans are the types who enjoy to skirt the line of our world. Rumor has it, Cesar is mixed up in some shady shit.

“Why not?” Cesar, the old brute, questions from across the table. His eyebrows are as thick as the highway and his tanned skin is marked with wrinkles from his long life.

“My son is engaged to a woman already. I will not encourage him to bre
ak a union with another Cartel familia. What type of leader would I be if I allowed this sort of disrespect?” My father continues. You see, when you’re a member of a Cartel familia, you are supposed to show respect to others, even if they are your enemies.

This is one of the many traditions the movies and books don’t get right. We may have hated Rafael for what he did to our country, but we never once put anyone else who had his blood running through their veins at risk. That is the respect we offer. We simply won’t cross certain lines.

“Another . . . who?” Cesar seems upset, appearing to have figured out this marriage would’ve eliminated many of our problems.

“Amara, Rafael’s niece.” I fill him in, smirking from where I sit.

“The half-blood? You must be joking. Shit. Her father was never involved in the Cartel. He was simply a bastard. My Beatriz would be a much better fit, a regal one at that. Francisco, talk some sense into your son.” Cesar throws his hands up in the air, outraged at the news.

“I will do no such thing, Cesar. My son made his choice and I support his decision. Amara will make a perfect leader alongside my son. Do you disagree?” Ah. My father is waiting to see if he will cast disrespect our way, in which case will grant us permission to shoot him.

Cesar shakes his head and picks up the tequila in front of him, pouring himself another serving, he shoots it back. “Ah, no my friend. I simply think we could have made a great alliance here. Do you not?”

“Who says we cannot still do so? I have two more sons. Angel and Javier.” My father reminds Cesar, who smirks wildly.

“Angel, what will he do when you pass?” This is no one’s business outside of the familia.

“That is for us to know,” My father replies, smirking. “Though, if you’re asking my opinion, I believe Angel is the better choice. He has a . . . certain way with women. A kinder heart, which any father would want for his daughter, no?”

“Mmm, yes. But, I expect a man to be able to defend her as well.”

“He will have no problem doing that.” I speak up. Angel is extremely talented when it comes to shooting. He’s taken down teams of ten by himself.

“He will fit well with my Beatriz.” Cesar states, smirking widely. Beatriz is his eldest daughter, about twenty-three . . . but this will not do. We are Mexican-Catholics. He didn’t marry Beatriz’s mother. Surely father knows this information.

“No, Fatima.” My father speaks up. “Fatima is Ana’s daughter, yes?”

“Yes,” Cesar answers through clenched teeth. “Fatima is but a teenager, nineteen. Beatriz is almost twenty-three. She would be a much better fit.”

“Ah, no. This is not how this meeting will go, my friend. Fatima is your only daughter you had with your wife, therefore she will be the heir of the Guatemalan Cartel, no?”

My father is pushing Cesar into a corner. Cesar clears his throat. “I had assumed we could come here today and establish an arrangement which would benefit both parties. Beatriz was to be married off to one of your boys and Fatima would take the reins when the time comes.”

“Fatima will take the reins and be married to Angel.” Father states, now drinking his tequila.

Cesar takes in a deep breath and slowly exhales. He knows he doesn’t really have a choice to begin with. Cesar’s brother stole their entire family’s fortune except for a small bit and fled to the United States. They don’t know where Guillermo is now, though I’ve personally heard talk about Guatemalan gangs causing trouble in Los Angeles. Since Cesar’s brother has been causing problems, many smaller cartels are now deciding to cause trouble in his country. It’s simply retaliation. Though, it’s something Cesar can’t take for long. He won’t survive it unless he has an ally like us.

“It appears we will be familia soon, eh!” Cesar rises from his chair and walks around to give my father a hug and pats him on the back.

“I will get our lawyer to draft up the contract tonight and we’ll both meet in the morning to sign it before you head back.” Father tells Cesar.

“May I suggest something?” I state, looking to both men as I stand. In a few moments I’ll take my leave and go see my brother. If he’s going to hear this news, it might as well be from me.

  “Certainly,” Father answers.

“Cesar, you seem worried that Fatima is so young. So, why don’t we put a clause in the contract that she will not be married to Angel until her twenty-third birthday? This way it will ease your worries and allow the girl to get some things out of her system before she marries my brother.” In reality, I’m doing this for Angel. It will give him four more years before he’s trapped forever.

“I like this one. Such a shame he will be married off.” Cesar jokes, smacking my father on the back yet again.

“We will add this clause if it makes you feel better.” Father says to Cesar, who gives his immediate nod.

“Well, I must get going. I have quite a bit to get done.” I state, making my goodbyes and head out of the restaurant quickly. I don’t mean to be so rushed, though it is better if I get to the house as soon as possible.

Within a matter of ten minutes I’m pulling past the gate of our estate. I park the car in the garage and spot Angel smoking a cigar out back by the pond. I approach him slowly, trying to think of just the right words to say . . . though I fear there won’t be any.

“Angel,” I say his name softly, almost as if I’m trying to give him a warning of what’s to come.

“Starting off a conversation like this can’t be good,” He chuckles, taking a puff of his cigar.

“We met with Cesar Alonzo today.”

“Ah, the meeting for the marriage agreement between you and one of his daughters?” This meeting had been planned for over a year. Only, Amara wasn’t in my life at that time. Angel knows I was the one who was going to marry one of the girls . . . but now it will be him. This is why I have to be the one who breaks the news to him.

I shake my head, “No, I’m marrying Amara. She is from the Ramirez Cartel . . . so Father believes it’s fitting I tie off that end. Plus, I fall more in love with her every day I’m with her.” It’s been almost a week since I told Amara I didn’t want her moving back to the United States. I truly can’t imagine my life without her now that she’s here.

Angel blinks a few times, putting the pieces together. “No. You didn’t do this to me.”

“You are going to marry Fatima Alonzo when she turns twenty-three, Angel. I did what I could. I bought you four years to live your life before you—” I’m knocked back out of nowhere and sense a burning sensation coming from my lip. Wiping my hand, I can tell I’m bleeding. He just fucking hit me.

“You were supposed to be the one, not me. It’s what you said. You said you’d do this. You told me you’d be the one to marry for the Cartel. But Amara came into the picture and you decided to pass the baton over to me without even giving me a heads up. God, what a joke of a brother you are. Javier wouldn’t even pull this shit.”

“No, Javi would get locked up again and leave his wife alone. You and I both know it. Javi doesn’t think, Angel. We are the only two with heads. You know there wasn’t another choice for this. Javi would’ve brought another war our way.”

Angel huffs, “Say whatever you need to sleep better at night. You’re the most selfish bastard in this familia, brother. I hope you never forget it.” Angel walks off, heading toward the garage.

“Where the fuck are you going?” I ask, calling out to him.

He stops dead in his tracks. “It doesn’t matter. I’ll be back in four years. Until then, don’t fucking call. Don’t fucking look for me. Just leave me the fuck alone.” Angel proceeds to walk into the garage and before I know it one of the bays is opening and he’s pulling out in a Maserati.

I stand here filled with guilt. Guilt because I promised him I’d protect him from this, though I could never turn my back on her. Amara is my future, and I won’t ever jeopardize it.

  Chapter Twenty

  The wa
y people treat you is a statement about who they are as a human being. It’s not a statement about you.

  ~ QuoteDiary

  Amara

The sound of a car racing off causes me to get up from the chair I’m sitting in and head over to the window. I can spot Dante standing over by the garages with his hand on his head, appearing to be a bit perplexed. I don’t know who just sped off, though I’m sure it wasn’t a good interaction. Dante begins to walk toward the house, so I go over to the small bar area we have on this side of the house and grab a short glass. Picking up his favorite brand of tequila I pour a hefty drink and then fetch three ice cubes to go in it. By the time he gets in here, it should be chilled to his liking.

He comes in through the door that leads into the area where we’ve been living and immediately spots me with his drink in hand. “Fuck. You are the perfect woman, I swear.” He states, giving me a quick kiss on the lips before taking the drink and downing the entire thing.

Dante is a man who drinks, although he isn’t one who drinks this fast. “Is everything alright?” I question, wanting to know if there’s something I should be worried about.

“Eh, depends who you ask.” Dante murmurs, staring out through the window.

“Who was that who sped off?”

“Angel.” Dante is quick to respond, though I can feel the sadness in his voice.

  “What happened, Dante?”

Dante sinks down onto the couch in our living area and looks up at me. “I betrayed my brother, for us.”

“What? That doesn’t make any sense.” How on Earth did he betray Angel for us? Dante may have some small spats with both his brothers, though he loves them more than anything. That’s honestly a Latino thing. We fight hard, yet we love even harder.

“It’s complicated, mi reyna.” He’s trying to dismiss me, to shut me up so I don’t ask any questions.

“Life is complicated, Dante. Now are you going to sit here and irritate me, or tell me what the fuck happened with your brother?”
