When A Bad Boy Wants Your Heart Page 3

I laughed. “I love you, and thanks for being there for me today,” I said.

“Of course, best friend. Always,” Sade said.

I turned and pulled myself out of the car then closed the door. Slowly, I walked up to the front door.

“Bo!” Sade said from behind me, and I turned to see that she had turned the passenger window down to tell me something. “Remember to lock your front door when you get inside.”

“Uh huh,” I said and waved her off as I reached for the door.

I managed to get it unlocked and stepped inside the house. When I flipped the light switch on, my light didn’t turn on.

“Fuck,” I cursed as I remembered the living room bulb had blown yesterday but I hadn’t fixed it because I figured I would deal with it later.

I closed the door in the dark and felt around for where I was going. Reaching behind me, I felt for the lock on the door, but my hand missed.

“Fuck that,” I said under my breath.

I had a headache, I was exhausted, and ready to just go to bed. Making my way to my bedroom, I peeled off my clothes and plopped down on the bed then pulled my covers over me up to my nose. I was asleep within five minutes.

When we pulled up on the beach where Rigs’ shop, Legend, was, my heart was beating fast. For the most part, I was a low-key nigga. Slick at the mouth but I didn’t go looking for trouble or none of that shit. All I cared about was my business and my day ones. So, anybody who came after that, I was going to go to war with no questions asked. Every time I thought about this nigga Rigs running his mouth and spreading lies about my shop, I felt my head spin. I was ready to run into his shop and stomp his ass out.

Marcus was driving my car, and as he pulled up on the curb, I hopped out. Guwop came out the back right behind me. I walked up to the front of the shop and pushed the door in. There were two niggas and a bitch in there who were talking and laughing, but when I walked in, they got quiet.

“Where the fuck is Rigs?” my voice boomed as I looked around the shop.

Legend was a lot smaller than my space. It was in a more expensive area, but that was because Rigs was always taking money from pops like he wasn’t a grown ass man and couldn’t stand on his feet. But even though he had money for this place, he didn’t keep it up. Looking around this place, I didn’t know who the fuck would want to get their shit done there. The inside of this shop smelled like Black and Milds and ass. The clowns he worked with looked at each other, and I could see that they were trying to figure out what to say to me.

“Ain’t nobody gon’ say shit?!” I yelled then reached for a chair and sent it flying across the room. “Where the fuck is Rigs?”

“Why you up in my shop acting a fool?” I heard Rigs’ familiar voice say from down the hall.

I frowned as I saw his ass walking from the back of the shop toward me. He looked a lot like me, which was crazy, but we both looked like Pops. He was skinnier than me, and his teeth were jacked up, but we were about the same height and skin color.

I walked up to him, and Guwop was right behind me.

“You runnin’ your mouth to the blogs about my shop now, nigga?” I asked and balled up my fists.

He smirked and looked down at the ground then back up in my face. “I don’t know what you talkin’ about.”

I knew his bitch ass was lying to me, and I took a step closer to him, so we were damn near nose to nose.

“You think just cuz you supposed to be my blood that I won’t knock your head back in your own shop, nigga?” I asked.

“You ain’t my blood, bitch. You were a mistake, and your hoe ass mama should’ve aborted you like my daddy told her to do,” he said.

That was when I lost it. I lunged at his face and popped him twice. All I remember seeing is his head flying back as he stumbled and fell on the ground. I pounced on him and rained down punches on his face.

“Bitch nigga, you ever talk about my moms, I will make it so you never get the fuck back up again,” I yelled at him.

Out the corner of my eye, I saw Guwop getting into it with one of Rigs’ boys who was trying to get at me. The girl who was in the shop when we rolled up was screaming.

Rigs’ face was bloody below me, and he was trying to get some swings in, but I was bigger and stronger than him. Plus, I had the upper hand since I was pissed the fuck off.

I stood from on top of him and pulled my gun out my waist. The girl screamed, but I didn’t give a fuck. I aimed the barrel down at Rigs who looked a fucking mess.

“I know it was you who started that shit on Shade Room. On God, nigga, if I don’t see you get them to take that shit down by tomorrow, I’m coming for you and everybody in this shop,” I said.

I glanced around at his people who were looking at me with wide eyes.

“Ya heard, my nigga?” I yelled at him while looking back at his ass on the floor.

I heard the far away sound of sirens approaching and knew I had to bounce. But, I needed Rigs’ wack ass to acknowledge what I said.

“Don’t let me make this shit a blood bath,” I warned him.

His left eye was swelling up, but he looked at me with hate out his right one and nodded. That was good enough for me.

I put my gun up and looked around the room one last time before I nodded at Guwop. I strode out the shop with the quickness and glanced around looking for Marcus. The car wasn’t outside, though, and for a minute, I wondered what the fuck was going on.

“Shit, 5-0 pullin’ up,” Guwop said from beside me.

“Shit,” I cursed under my breath as I turned to walk down the street in the opposite direction of the cops who were starting to pull up to the shop.

I walked with my hands in my pocket nonchalantly so as not to attract attention, but that shit wasn’t in the cards for me tonight.

“Hey, hold on one second,” I heard a deep voice say from behind me.

I glanced back without turning my head all the way and saw a cop walking toward me from the back.

“Fuck,” I said and looked over at Guwop.

“Split,” he said, and I nodded.

The adrenaline in me started pumping at that minute, and we both bolted.

“Hey, stop!” I heard the officer say behind me, but I wasn’t stopping for shit.

I ran around the corner at the end of the block and saw that Guwop had gone in the opposite direction. This was what we’d always done since we were young. We figured if we split up, the law couldn’t catch us both. And whichever one of us got caught, if it came to that, the other would step in with bail money and lawyers. If we both got locked up because we were running together, we were both gonna be in a jail cell looking stupid.

I turned down a street that looked more residential and ducked behind a tree. Looking out from behind, I hoped this fat fuck would have given up, especially since he didn’t see my face all the way. But he turned the corner as I looked from behind the tree.

“What the fuck,” I cursed under my breath. I needed to ditch this nigga.

Taking off again, I ran down the quiet residential street. When I glanced behind me, I saw the cop running right after me too. If I didn’t dodge him, I was gonna end up in a cell on some fucked up charges, and I didn’t have time for that shit right now.

Turning down another street around the corner at the end of that block I made a split second decision. There was a house that was dark on the inside, and I hoped luck would be on my side, so I could get in. I would figure out the plan later.

As I ran up on the house, I saw that the cop hadn’t turned the corner yet. If the door was open, I’d be golden. I could wait him out until he moved around then leave before anyone even knew I was in their house.

I must have been the luckiest motherfucker on earth because when I reached for the doorknob and turned it, the door opened right up. I ran in the house and closed the door quietly behind me. The house was quiet, which was good for me. I guess who ever lived there was sle
ep. I moved over to the window to look outside.

“What the fuck?” I said to myself when I saw the cop running toward this fucking house.

I ran toward the back of the house and down the hallway. Turning down the dark hallway, I saw a door to the right. I ran inside and made out the silhouette of someone in the bed. It was one person fast asleep, and from where I stood, it looked like a female because I saw a whole lot of hair lying out on a pillow.

Running over to the bed, I kicked my shoes off, pulled my shirt off and jeans, and quickly pulled the covers back. The person in the bed was sleeping in a bra and panties, and she had a bomb ass body. But I wasn’t trying to be caught up in that now. Jumping in the bed in my boxers, I pulled my gun out as she stirred. I knew I didn’t have much time, and as she opened her eyes and saw that a stranger was in her bed beside her, I saw her open her mouth to scream.

I pushed my gun in her side, and her mouth immediately clamped shut. Her eyes were wide with fear, but this was life or death to me, so she just got caught up in the wrong moment.

“Aye, yo, when that cop comes through that door, you better tell him I’m your nigga and we been sleep or Ima light up this bitch,” I said.

I woke up out of my sleep to a gun in my side and a strange man in my bed. I couldn’t even scream because the look in his eyes made me know that if I even tried to make a move that he thought was wrong, I would end up with my parents planning a funeral right after this disaster wedding.

My head was still foggy from the drinks earlier, but not so much that I didn’t know exactly what was going on. Based on what he just said, I knew the cops would probably run in at any minute, and I didn’t know if I had it in me to do what he wanted me to do.

I looked at this stranger who was staring daggers down at me as he pushed his gun deeper into my side. I was scared out of my mind, but I couldn’t help noticing that this man was attractive. He had a low fade and a beard with thick lips and milk chocolate skin. He had pulled his shirt off when he jumped in my bed, and I couldn’t help but notice that his chest was well defined. He had ink for days, and he looked like he was no stranger to the gym. I wasn’t sure why something about his face looked vaguely familiar, like I’d seen him somewhere before. But he was staring back at me like he didn’t give a fuck about my life, which scared me to no end.

“Nod if you understand what the fuck I just said,” he whispered roughly to me.

All I could do was nod and blink back tears. He pulled me down in the bed to lay so it would look like we had been sleeping the whole time, but the way his body was positioned, the gun was poking into my back. I was trying hard as hell to slow my breathing and calm my heart because it was literally racing a mile a minute.

Just then, I heard my front door burst open and the sound of running feet coming down the hallway.

“Get up now!” I heard someone say from my doorway, and I jumped as a flashlight shone into my room toward my bed.

I sat up and shielded my eyes as I looked at the police officer standing at my door.

“Can we help you, officer?” the stranger said from beside me as he sat up in my bed too.

I looked at the policeman as he stood there frowning at us.

“I have reason to believe a suspect in an assault ran into this house. Did you see or hear anyone come inside?” the officer asked. He was looking straight at the guy, though, like he was trying to decide if he recognized him or not.

Once I heard ‘assault,’ my heart started to race some more. I really wasn’t trying to be the next fucking victim.

“Nah, me and my girl been asleep this whole time. We didn’t see nobody,” he said and looked over at me to back him up.

I nodded fast then looked back at the cop. “Sorry, officer, I think you have the wrong house. Me and my boyfriend have been sleeping for about two hours now. If someone ran in here, we would know.”

The officer looked from me to the guy and back to me again like he didn’t believe us.

“Can you both step out the bed, please?” he said.

“Is that really necessary?” I asked, feeling my face getting hot.

Now that I had lied, I knew I had to see this shit all the way through. The last thing I was trying to do was catch an obstruction charge over some nigga who was two seconds away from killing me.

“I just have some questions, that’s all,” the officer said and glared at me.

“Do you even have a warrant? You ran up in our house while we were sleeping like we are criminals. My father knows the state’s attorney, I can have them on the phone in a second,” I snapped at him.

For the first time, I saw the officer look unsure about himself, so I pushed it.

“We just told you we’ve been home sleeping this whole time. Whoever you are looking for obviously didn’t come in here, and they’re probably long gone now. I don’t know what else you want from us,” I said.

The officer looked back at the guy beside me like he was trying to decide what to do. But then I guess he figured this wasn’t a fight that was worth fighting.

“You all have a nice night,” he muttered under his breath as he turned and walked out the door.

I had never been so relieved in my whole life. When I heard the front door close, the guy beside me chuckled. I glared at him. If looks could kill, he’d have been dead on my carpet right now.

“You fine as fuck,” he said, looking down from my face to my body.

I grabbed the sheets closer to me and pulled it up to my neck.

“Can you leave now? I could’ve gone to jail for your bum ass tonight,” I said; I was pissed.

He chuckled again, though, like he didn’t have a gun still in my side. Looking at me, he smirked.

“What your name is?” he asked.

“No, we not doin’ that tonight. You need to go,” I said.

I was shaking, but I was not about to let this man run me over. Gun in my side or not.

“Shit, aight shorty,” he said, swinging his legs over the side of my bed and standing up.

I tried not to look at him as he towered over my bed, but I couldn’t help it. He really was fine. When he moved, the cologne he was wearing ran up my nose even more. I looked away from him because I’d be damned if he saw me staring at his chest and abs as well as the barrage of tattoos that decorated his arms and torso.

He had turned to look at me, though, and when I looked up at his face, he smirked at me again.

“I know your ass like what you see,” he said with a cocky attitude.

“I’m good. Really. You need to get out my house.” I glared at him.

“Yeah, aight,” he said and pulled his shirt over his head. “You ain’t gotta tell me, shorty. I know your panties wet as fuck and soaking up them sheets your fine ass sittin’ on right now.”

My mouth fell open a little when he said that. Who the fuck did he think he was?

“You a real piece of work,” I said and rolled my eyes before I pointed to the door. “You ran up in my house, so you know the way out.”

“Yeah, I know,” he said as he stepped into his Jordans. “You ain’t tell me your name, though, and I’m not leavin till you do.”

I watched him put the gun he had in his hands in the waist of his jeans. He stood still and watched me with his hands buried in his pockets.

“Jesus, it’s Bo. Can you leave now?” I said irritated.

He smirked. “Bo? Sounds like your pops wanted a little nigga,” he said then walked toward my bedroom door.

I glared at him because people always had something to say about the fact that my name sounded masculine. But, I really just wanted him to leave, so I didn’t say anything slick back.

He looked back at me before he stepped out the door. “Good lookin’ out.”

Then he was gone. I heard the front door close, and then I jumped out the bed in my underwear to lock it. To my dismay, I realized that when the cop ran into my house, he had broken the latc
h on the door. There was no way I could lock it from the inside.

“Fuck!” I cursed as I went back to my room and picked up my phone. Dialing Sade’s number, I hoped to God she wasn’t sleeping.

After four rings, she picked up.

“Hello?” she said in a quiet voice. I was so relieved I could cry.

“Hey. I’m so sorry to call you this late. Can I come over and stay the night?” I asked.

“What happened?” she asked me in a whisper, but I could hear the worry in her voice. I knew she was whispering because she was probably lying beside her boyfriend, Greg.

“Long story,” I said while rubbing the bridge of my nose.

“Come on, it’s no problem. I’ll leave the front door unlocked for you,” she said.

“Thanks, sis,” I said and hung up.

I threw a few things in a bag and then went out the door to my car. Tomorrow, I would have to worry about what I would do about the front door. Right now, all I wanted was to get in a bed and forget this night ever happened.

  The next day

“Fuuuuck,” I moaned as my dick hit the back of Armani’s throat.

I looked down at her on her knees in front of me deep throating me like a pro. She looked up at me for approval, and I grabbed the back of her head and sped up her motion. She gripped the back of my thighs and for a minute, all I heard was the sounds her wet ass mouth was making as she sucked the cum right out my nuts.

“Bitch you killin it,” I growled down at her.

I could tell she loved that I liked what she was doing to me. Armani’s friend, Micah, was behind her licking her pussy, which was fine with me because I didn’t know Micah like that and all I wanted out this shit was to get my dick sucked and bust a quick nut. I’d swung by Armani’s spot in the Gables, and she called her home girl who had been too eager to come over too. Armani was the type of bitch I knew would be down to ride for me whenever. She danced at this strip club I went to now and then, and from the first time she saw me, she’d been all over me like white on rice. I kept her around because she gave good head and she stayed in her place. But I wasn’t going to ever give her more than that. She wasn’t my type.
