The next morning after breakfast, we went to his house to see the surprise. He sent me a text this morning telling me where the surprise was. As soon as I opened the door I was in awe and I started to cry. It was our baby's room. "This is so beautiful." The color of the room was baby pink. The crib was so beautiful. I checked the drawers and inside there was lots of baby clothes. This has three names on it.
"Like it?" I turned to see Victoria, Trisha and Donna. I just lightly laughed.
"I love it. It's perfect." I cried more. The three of them hugged me and then touched my belly. Baby King was gonna be very spoiled.
"By the way, this morning I talked with Shawn about the name of our baby, guess what her name is gonna be?" Needless to say they threw very weird names and they were so far from what we decided. I just shook my head and told them to stop.
"Her name will be, Skye." I smiled, dad looked at me with teary eyes and hugged. "I think that's the best name for my grandchild." He just sobbed. Skye was mom's middle name. Dad called mom Skye more than Emma. She would smack him upside down, she preferred Emma. I just laughed at them.
"Skye was mom's middle name, and I think it's such a beautiful name for my little princess." I smiled as everyone smiled back. Once the baby is born, I'll be moving to Shawn's house. Donna said she would move in with me after Shawn was back in Spain and move out when he returned. That way I wouldn't be alone. But for now staying in my house with dad and Emma while I was pregnant worked for me. I wanted to spend time with them. Once my baby is born I'll move out and be very busy with her. And I think online classes will do since dad works late and aunt Cheryl is already taking care of Emma. I'll just wait for Shawn to talk about it. I couldn't wait to see him. That’s how much I miss him.
Chapter 25
Our Beautiful Skye
I couldn't wait for Skye to be born, I was so excited to have her in my arms. A few girls in college would call me names, they said this child was a bastard. Donna punched them hard. Donna decided to study fashion. I was happy that we were gonna be in the same college. Next week I would be nine months. It also meant Shawn coming home. I couldn't wait to hug him, Kiss him and many more. It's been months and I've been very sexually frustrated since I didn't have Shawn to make love to me.
It was finally Friday, I moved my stuff to Shawn's house with Donna. Emma cried cause I was moving. Since my due date was close I decided to move earlier. I told her that she could spend the weekends with us since I can't go anywhere due to my pregnancy. I mean I can but I rather be careful.
"Sissy, Skye kicked." She giggled. "that's because she loves her Auntie Emma already." Her face lit up. She started to sing and Skye kicked again. "I got myself a football player." I giggled while rubbing my belly. Minutes later, Shawn FaceTime and told me there was a package outside the house. I went to open the door and it was the best package in the world.
"I've missed you so much." I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him like there was no tomorrow. Good thing Emma went to watch a movie in the room she had when she lived here. We closed the door and went straight to his room and before we knew it, clothes were off and we made love, over and over again. We had to make up for the lost time.
"I've missed this so much." He said while caressing my face. "me too, so much we're gonna go again and again till we can't go anymore." I said before placing a soft kiss on his lips. We went at it like crazy. After our crazy rounds I fell asleep in his arms. I never wanted for him to go again.
Two weeks went by and I was due anytime. Shawn said he was gonna stay here for another week then he had to leave. That was fine, I could wait three more months. I was just happy he would be for the birth of our princess "You're making me dizzy." He sighed. "I can be due at any minute. I'm not ready to push a little person from my private area, I can't do this." I sobbed. He pulled me into a hug. Then it happened.
"You either peed on me or your water broke." He pulled away and started to freak out. "Everything is ready. Let me put this in the car and we're out of here." He grabbed the baby bag then he made his way outside. I heard the car drove off. Only Shawn would forget the most important thing.
“Sorry," he came back and picked me up. He rushed to the hospital. He called my dad, Victoria who was with Trisha and then called Donna. Pushing a baby hurt like hell. I cried a lot, the pain was excruciating. Shawn grabbed my hand the whole time.
"Baby girl she's almost here. You can do this." With that being said I gave one more push, then I heard the most beautiful sound echoed through the hospital room. It was my baby's cry. I couldn't help but cry more. I held her for a bit and then they went to clean her up.
"A baby, Shawn, we have a daughter. It's so surreal, but I'm so happy." I sobbed. "It's very real. I don't even want to go back to Spain. I don't want to leave my girls side."
"It's only three more months and then we'll be together. Our little family,” I smiled. He gave me a soft kiss on my lips. The nurse brought Skye and I held her. She was perfect. She had my green eyes. Shawn picked her up. It was the most beautiful sight I've ever seen. I may be young, but Shawn was the only guy I could see myself married and having a kids. The kid part came fast, but I was beyond happy. My family and his sister along with our friends came to see her. They were in awe. Shawn told his parents about our baby being born, but they didn't give a damn. Well, they're going to miss out on so much love. And those two need a lot of love. Well, they made up their mind about Skye. Despite me not liking them, I would've made an exception to at least tolerate them for Skye, oh well.
Donna said she was moving in with me after Shawn was back in Spain. That was fine by me. I wanted to spend every waking hour with him. He was such an amazing dad, he would get up at night to take care of Skye. I also told him about my classes and he said that online classes sounded good too. I'm glad we agreed on that cause I was so not ready to leave my baby with anyone. And I was not getting a babysitter, I've heard so many cases, so leaving a stranger in my house was a big no. Shawn was sleeping so I went to check on Skye. She was also sleeping. I found it funny how Shawn and Skye slept in the same position. If someone ask me now if I would change something about my life. I would say no. I got everything I want right here.
I felt two arms wrapped around my waist from behind. "she's perfect."
"That she is, I can't believe she's here. We created this little human being. And I'm so glad that you're her dad. I love you so much. Shawn,” I said while turning around. "I love you more, baby girl." He crashed his lips against mine. He was leaving in a week, and as much as I didn't want him to leave. I know he had to for his career. We were gonna be here waiting for him.
Chapter 26
Second Chance
Shawn left and I cried so hard. I love him so much, it hurts to have him so far from us. Donna was moving in with us today. At least I wasn't going to be alone. This place was already big and for me to be alone here would be depressing. But having Donna was a plus, she sure knows how to cheer me. Victoria and Trisha would spend a lot of time here. They were getting baby fever.
"Hello, roommate." I turned to see, Donna. I just chuckled. Three months with Donna, I told her no parties or mini reunions. She said she wasn't going to either.
“Thanks for staying with me.”
“Welcome, you’re my best friend/sister. I’m happy to stay here and spend time with this little cutie and you.” She answered before grabbing Skye. I just smiled.
After work, dad and Emma came everyday. Emma loves Skye so much. Dad was over the moon with a baby princess. That's what he calls her. Aunt Cheryl would also come here a lot with her husband. They couldn't have kids. She even offered to watch Skye if I ever wanted to go out. I was so thankful to have amazing people that cared for Skye so much. Shawn FaceTime with me everyday more than before the baby was born. He would sing and talk to her, she smiled a lot.
"Hey, little princess,” I picked her up from her crib and feed her. I looked down at her and smiled. I wish Shawn was here. Never would've
thought that we were gonna be together, let alone have a baby. But here we are, and I could not be more happy.
Another month went by, and Skye was growing, wish she would stay little. There was a knock on the door, I went to open it and it revealed someone I never thought I'd see again.
"Can I help you?"
"She's gorgeous." She said while looking at Skye who was in my arms. After two months she finally shows up. "Lucia, what are you doing here?" Since I don't work for her, I don't have to call her Mrs King. Not even for respect cause she lost that when she treated me like trash.
"I just wanted to meet her." She sighed. "And it took you two months, you weren't even there for her birth. I know you hate me and you hate the fact that your son is with me, someone from different social status. You wanted Laura who's from his same status. But let me tell you something. That bitch, burned my house attacked my little sister, attacked me. Is that what you wanted for Shawn?" I huffed.
"You're right. I behaved like an ass. I should've been there for her birth, I shouldn't have let social status mattered. You're exactly what my son needs. I'm sorry." Those two last words took me by surprise. Who would've thought Lucia King would be here apologizing to me. I motioned her to come inside. I'm not a person who holds grudges. I let her hold Skye. Lucia cried. It made me wonder if she was going through something.
"So, is there something going on? What happened that made you change your snobby ways." I was not afraid to speak up my mind. I was not that girl she treated like I meant nothing.
"Byron left me. All of his business trips were excuses to cheat on me with his secretary. He's been living in Switzerland for about a month. My house is huge and it gets lonely. He's been cheating on me for a year and I didn't noticed. Then one night I went to his office to give him dinner since he was working late and then it happened. I wasted so many years with him." She cried. I felt bad for her. "If you let me, I want to be a part of her life. And I want to get to know better my future daughter in law. I talked to Victoria and apologized to her and Trisha. I called Shawn two nights ago and we talked things through. I'm happy I have a second chance with my kids. Now I want a second chance with you."
"Okay, I think I would like that too." I smiled. I called Shawn to tell him the news.
"Shawn here, who's there?"
"The mother of your child,” I chuckled.
"Hey, baby girl, I miss you so much. One more month and I'll be home." He smiled.
"Can't wait, babe. And look who's with me." I flipped the camera and showed him Lucia holding Skye.
"What a beautiful Sight, I'm so glad you two are on good terms. And my little princess, daddy misses you." He said and Skye smiled. After talking for a bit he said he had to go, big test tomorrow.
"Thanks for this opportunity." She said before giving me a hug. I hugged her back. We said goodbye then she left.
"Your grandma sure surprised me a lot." I said while changing Skye's diaper. She ended up falling asleep on the changing table. I just lightly laughed. I put her in the crib and I took a nap. I put her crib in my room, it was easier and I could watch her better.
Another month went by. I was so happy cause Shawn was coming home in a week. I couldn't wait to see him. As I was putting Skye in her crib for her nap, I heard the front door open. I got scared since Laura is still out there and Donna wasn't in the city. I grabbed a knife just in case. As I approached the door I saw him. I dropped the knife and jumped in his arms. He pressed his lips against mine. We started to remove each other's clothes while still devouring our lips. We landed on the couch and things got pretty intense between us. How much I've missed this.
"You fucking scared me." I said while playfully slapping him on his shoulder. "You're one to talk, having a knife in your hands."
"You were supposed to be here next week, so sue me." I rolled my eyes. "I've missed you so much. I'm back for good and I can't wait to start our life as a family." He smiled. "I love you Shawn." I laid my head on his chest and his arms wrapped around my waist. He pulled a blanket over us. "I love you more, baby girl."
Chapter 27
An Unexpected Surprise
I woke up and went straight to Skye's room. I found an adorable sight. Shawn was on the rocking chair with Skye in his arms, he was singing her a lullaby. I walked over there and sat on a chair. I love moments like this.
"Till this day I still can't believe we're together and that this little cutie belongs to us." I smiled. "Same, I love you so much, baby girl." He gave me a quick kiss. I grabbed Skye and fed her. She was very hungry. After feeding her she ended up falling asleep again. I put her in the crib and went to make breakfast.
"So, guess who's opening his own pet clinic."
"That's great news, babe, congrats,” I congratulated him as I placed a soft kiss on his lips. "Thanks gorgeous. I'm so excited."
"I know you will do great. And the women better stay away from you." I retorted. He pulled me closer to him and captured my lips with his. We went at it on the couch. After our amazing time, we went to eat breakfast. Living with Shawn is amazing. Even if we're young and already parents, I wouldn't change anything.
Time went along and Skye was now a year old. She was growing up so fast. She would also made us chase her a lot. Once the diaper was out she made a run. Who needs gym when you have a one year old making you run like crazy.
"Skye, mommy is tired. Please let me change you?" I sighed. “Mama," she said while squishing my face and giggled. "You're my little terror." I gave her a big hug.
"Did someone forgot something?" Shawn said while showing a clean diaper. "I've been trying to change her, I swear she really enjoys making us chase her." I sighed. He just chuckled.
"How about daddy takes care of this while mommy takes a nap." He suggested while picking Skye up. She squished his cheeks too. I got up and plopped on the couch. Within minutes I fell asleep.
Three Hours Later
I woke up by listening Skye's cry, it was very hysterical. I ran over to where the cry was and when I entered my bedroom, I saw Shawn on the floor all knocked up and blood on his forehead. Skye was next to him trying to wake him. I walked towards them but was stopped.
"Not another move,” I heard a voice say. From the shadows a woman started to walk, I knew that voice. "Miss me?" It was Laura. She picked up Skye and pinched her cheeks harder making her cry.
"Don't fucking touch my daughter again!" I was angry at this point. Tears were falling for not being able to do anything. Shawn was on the floor passed out and my baby was crying. It broke me.
"You don't make the rules, sweetheart." Another person came from the shadows. "Damn you're hot." It was her brother, Larry.
"Why are you doing this? You already burned my old house, you made my job hard while working at the King's mansion. Why are you still coming after me?"
"You stole Shawn from me, you stole Victoria. I was supposed to get married to him next fall. But all that died the day you started to make a move on him!” She yelled causing Skye to cry.
"You're delusional. He never proposed to you. You boss him around, that's not love, that's just being a fucking gold digger." I huffed. I was so tired of listening to her.
"Listen here you maid, this is what's gonna happen. We will kill you and your baby. And Shawn can be with my amazing sister. How does that sound?" Larry said in the most annoying tone ever.
"How does me kicking you in your nuts sound?" At this point I didn't know what to do to help Shawn and Skye. I was this close to losing my mind. People need let go of the past. Shawn started to wake up. Oh, thanked God he's breathing. “W-what happened?" He asked while getting up. He was still weak. Larry walked over to him and kicked him causing Shawn to fall again.
"Stop it!" I screamed. "What the hell is wrong with you two? There are more people in this world and you want to get attached to one person, one that doesn't love you. You two are so pathetic and hell is waiting for you two." I was so tired of them. What can I do to get out of this with Shawn and S
kye alive? "You want money. Don't you? Come on Laura, you never loved Shawn. You only loved his money. I mean you did say that he was very cheesy and you didn't like it. So you stayed with him only cause of his money. I bet you anything that you were cheating on him." She looked at me surprised.
"Give me ten million dollars and we will get the hell out of here."
"Deal, I'll go get it. That's money for Shawn but I'm gonna need to bring Skye with me. I don't trust you both alone. And if you touch Shawn again I will burn that money." I finally was able to have my baby in my arms.
I went to her bedroom, I just remembered, that's where Shawn put the emergency button, as soon as I hit this, the police will be notified and be here fast. Shawn thought it was the perfect place to keep it hidden. "Mommy is going to save daddy, now you be a good girl and stay in your crib, okay?" I said as tears were falling. She just nodded and waved me goodbye. I locked her door and went to get the money. Well, fake one. Shawn has always been prepared. Being a very rich person you need to be prepared for anything. Especially when you're always going to be a target. One way or another robbers, kidnappers and so on will find a way to get to you. I put the fake money in a bag and proceeded to go to back again. My heart was pounding so fast. Hopefully they arrive on time. I've already lost my mom, almost lost Emma. I was not gonna lose Shawn. Him and Skye are the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Chapter 28
The Rainbow After The Storm
I went inside and she asked me were the baby was. I told her that she was in her room sleeping. These two are the worst robbers in the history, which I was thankful for. They didn't followed me which lead me to press the emergency button. They got the looks but not the brain.
"Here is the money. Now get the hell away from us and our families." I barked.
