Unveiled: The Cursed Trilogy, Book Three Page 8

When he opens his eyes, I kiss him. Staring at me with his penetrating gaze, he stirs my emotions.

  “How do you feel?”

  “Tired.”

“Would you like some of my blood?”

  “I think that might help.”

Biting his wrist, he gives it to me, and I swallow a couple of times before his wound heals. Lying back, I indulge in the revitalizing rush of energy and heightened senses.

“I can hear your heartbeat. It’s fast.”

“The faster heartbeat helps with our speed and strength.”

With my eyes closed, I part my mouth at the touch of his lips on mine. Arousal ignites, my body yearning for more of the pleasure he gives me.

“Want to feel me inside you with your senses heightened?”

  “Yes.”

Sliding his tongue between my lips, he indulges my need for him. The aggressive, impassioned kiss matches the way he touches my body, as though his need for me is just as extreme. Sliding between my legs, he gives powerful thrusts against my G-spot, and with my arms around his neck, watching the intensity in his gaze, my breath heightens, and I erupt with pleasure. It’s the quickest orgasm I’ve ever had, and he smirks before claiming my lips and continuing his thrusts.

“I can give you more pleasure than any of the others.”

  “You are a glorious lover.”

Thrusts slowing, he caresses my nipple, making me shudder with pleasure.

“Remember when you said you wanted to know what it feels like to know me and be loved by me, and I said, I might not be able to give you what you want?”

“Yes.” Hope fills me as I see the affection in his gaze.

“That’s changed, Selene. I want you to know me, and I’m…”

Stroking his cheek, I finish what he’s struggling to say.

  “I’m falling for you too.”

A smile pulls at his lips as he lowers his head to kiss me. The usual intensity in his kiss is subdued, his lips moving with more tenderness. Moving his hips, he resumes our pleasure, and I succumb to the overwhelming thrill to my senses.

Leaving the bed to shower is difficult. I’ve been in a cocoon of erotic and irresistible pleasure for who knows how many hours. Phoenix joins me, helping me wash before I return the favor. With fresh clothes and having unpacked his bags, we leave the basement and head upstairs. Looking out the windows of the kitchen, I realize it’s evening, which surprises me.

“It’s about damn time,” Emeric grumbles, giving Phoenix a glare as he enters the kitchen.

Griffin and Killian are shortly behind. Griffin is in workout shorts with sweat glistening off him. I stare at his chest and abs, and he winks.

“When we’re together, you should expect sex to last for hours,” Phoenix smirks.

Emeric rolls his eyes. “Next time you take that long, I’m joining in.”

“No, threesomes are off the table.” Phoenix nearly growls. “When she’s with me, she’s all mine.”

Oh great. Here they start. Burying my face in the fridge, I gather the carton of milk.

Emeric snickers. “She loves threesomes. You going to deny her the pleasure of having your cock and mine at the same time?”

My cheeks flush as I collect cereal, a bowl, and a spoon from the cabinets.

“I give her enough pleasure she won’t crave both our dicks.”

“Okay, she is right here, and she is leaving now.”

“You should get used to the idea,” Killian suggests to him as I’m putting everything on a tray and leaving the kitchen.

Griffin leaves them behind and joins me in the living room. “Seems last night went well.”

“It did. I think his bloodlust is completely under control.”

“That’s good.” Taking a seat next to me on the couch, he rubs my leg. “I want all of us to be able to live here together.”

Placing my hand over his, I rub it. “Me too.” I pour cereal into a bowl, then milk. “Where’s Cyrus?”

“He had to work but should be home soon. He’s going to put in a request for time off.”

“Good. It worries me when he has to go to work.”

“Same.” Crossing a leg over his knee, he leans back on the couch with me. “We started on the roof. We cut down a tree and limbed it. We think it’ll go quicker if we use a portal to take the tree to Killian’s shop and cut it.”

  “We’ll all go, then.”

Rubbing my leg, he frowns. “No, love. We want you and Phoenix to stay here. It’s important you have the time to bond, and nothing happens to either of you.”

Pouting, I grumble. “I don’t like any of us being separated.”

“I know, but we’ll be quick, and we’ll be watching for danger. We can easily portal back here if we need to.”

  “All right.”

A silver glowing circle emerges in the living room, and Cyrus walks through it in a gray vest and blue button-down. He looks sharp and handsome as usual.

“I’m so glad you’re back,” I tell him.

“I assume Griffin told you I’m requesting time off?” Kissing my cheek, he sits on the other side of me.

  “Just now, yeah.”

“I’ve rarely taken time off. The request should be approved within a couple of days.”

Setting the nearly empty bowl down on the coffee table, I scoot closer to Cyrus and settle into his open arms.

“I’ll feel a lot better when you don’t have to travel back to the city.”

Lovingly stroking my arm, he kisses my head. “I’ve put up a barrier spell around my home, doors, windows, and the same in my lecture hall and office at the university.”

  “Good.”

“I’m going to work on creating a talisman for Phoenix. Would you like to help?”

“Yes.” Sitting up, I reach for the bowl. “Let me clean up, then I’ll join you.”

Griffin takes my hand and brings it to his lips. “I’ll take care of it.”

My love for him warms my chest as I smile. “Thank you.” Scooting closer to him, I lean over him as he leans back on the couch. With my hands on his chest, I kiss him slowly, indulging in the tingling sensation that erupts between us. As he gives my ass a squeeze, he nips at my bottom lip, pulling it between his teeth.

  “I love you.”

Brushing my hand into his messy hair, I rub his pointed ear, and he sighs with pleasure. “I love you, too.”

Climbing off him, I take Cyrus’s hand as he leads us to the magic room. Behind the closed door, I lock it, and the corner of Cyrus’s mouth lifts.

“Remember the first time we were intimate in here?”

“Like it was yesterday.” I grin. Going to him, I watch desire flare in his eyes as I unbutton his vest. “It’s been too long since we’ve had time alone.”

  “Agreed.”

Silver shimmers in his lustful gaze as he moves his arms to assist in removing his vest. Backing him to the only bare part of the wall, I claim his mouth. Hands palming my ass, he moans from my kiss as though he’s desperate for more. Undoing the buttons of his shirt, I pull it off, then make quick work of his belt and pants as I kiss and lick his chest. His delicious cologne reaches my nostrils, and I breathe him in, my libido raging as wild as a feral cat.

Trailing my fingers down his chest and abs, I follow the bit of hair that leads to his cock. Yanking his pants and briefs down, I lower onto my knees and take hold of his base. Licking the pre-cum, I watch his head fall back against the wall and his eyes close in anticipation. Fingers slipping between my strands, he holds my head as I take him into my mouth and suck.

“Fuck, Selene, you feel so damn good.”

There’s my naughty professor. Hearing those words fuels my energy. Taking him deeper into my throat, I pleasure him until he’s groaning through an orgasm.

Caressing my cheek, his satisfied expression is filled with affection. I stand, and he pulls me to his chest.

“I’ve missed being alone with you.”

  “M
e too. I needed some Cyrus time.”

“I’m not going to leave you without pleasure.” He winks, then raises his palm in the air. With a mutter of a spell, my vibrator emerges in his hand.

A gasp of surprise leaves me, my eyes widening. “Where? How?”

“I saw it in your apartment.”

Laughing, I kiss him. “I love the way you think.”

Grinning, he motions to the countertop. “Clothes off, gorgeous. It’s my turn.”

Lifting me up, he smothers my lips with kisses as he sets the vibrator aside and undresses me. Clothes tossed to the floor, he kisses and licks my neck, shoulders, then breasts as he fingers my pussy lips. Spreading my legs wider, I give him better access, and he slides in, finds my G-spot, and applies repeated pressure.

Wrapping a hand around his neck, my head falls back as I enjoy the pleasure of his touch. With each thrust of his finger, he takes my pleasure higher. Just when I’m ready for more, he pushes me onto my back, kissing and licking between my legs, then rubs the tip of the vibrator on my opening. Moving it around, he teases my need and lubricates the vibrator. A moment later, he thrusts it in. Massaging my breast, he uses the other hand on the vibrator, watching me as he brings me to orgasm.

Lightheaded and satisfied, I sit up and receive soft lips in a sensual, heated kiss.

“You know how much I love you, don’t you?”

Forehead to forehead, I smile at his words.

“I do. It’s the same as how I feel. I love you with all of my heart.”

Cyrus hugs me, kissing me with sweet affection as we hold each other and linger in the love we feel.

  CHAPTER ELEVEN

  SELENE

With all of us in the living room, Cyrus hands Phoenix a ring, silver and black onyx with the shape of the air symbol on the top. Phoenix takes it, examines it, then slides it on his right middle finger.

“It’s similar to something I’d pick out. Thank you.”

The two exchange an acknowledging nod, which I’m coming to learn is Phoenix and Cyrus’s way of bonding. I can see Phoenix getting along with Cyrus the best. They’re both highly intelligent, quiet thinkers.

Cyrus removes a thick leather bracelet with a silver air symbol from his pocket and hands it to Killian. “I meant to make this for you sooner, but things got in the way.”

Killian smiles with approval, then puts it on. “It’s perfect, brother.”

Seeing the strength of their relationships grow melts my heart.

Sitting in the chair, my legs hanging over the side, I sip my cup of tea. “What would you guys like to do tonight?”

“We can go into the Fae forest,” Griffin suggests. “I’m sure there’s entertainment, and Emeric needs a sheath for his sword.”

“Sounds good to me. Have all of you been there before?”

Killian and Phoenix shake their heads no.

“You’ll like it. It’s beautiful, so many interesting Fae, good food, and handmade creations.” As I set the tea down and search for shoes, Phoenix clasps Griffin on the shoulder.

“Is it all right for me to hunt the forest here?”

“It is,” Griffin assures him. “But only animals. I assured the Fae you wouldn’t hunt them.”

“You have my word. I won’t hunt them.” His tone is sincere.

The corner of Griffin’s mouth pulls back. “Thank you.”

The six of us leave the house, following the sandy trail into the forest. They surround me like bodyguards as we walk deeper into the forest, the sky light dimming between the trees. Phoenix takes my hand, his vampire eyes revealing a glimmer of violet as he watches our surroundings. Emeric’s wing touches my other side, and I smile at him. Stroking a hand down my back, he reminds me of the beautiful wings now branded there.

“I’d like to join you the next time you fly.”

“Done, babe. I’ll be sure to take you.”

As I stroke his feathers, he winks above a pleasured grin.

On the trail leading into the market square, hanging lights add more illumination. Aisles of tents cover wood tables full of food, medicine, clothing, jewelry, and anything else the supernaturals living here might need. There’s a band on a raised platform, belting out lyrics alongside the musical melody of instruments.

The Fae walking around are as unique as all the items on the tables. Many of them watch us with cautious and curious expressions, while some point at us and mutter to one another. I assume they know who we are.

A tall, horned Fae man bumps into Phoenix as he passes and quickly apologizes several times. Phoenix puts up a hand to stop his nervous apologies.

  “It’s all right. No worries.”

The Fae man smiles with relief, then carries on with his shopping.

Griffin pats Phoenix on the shoulder. “They’re a bit nervous about a vampire and wolf shifter being here. They need time to adjust and trust no harm will come to any of them.”

  “I understand,” Phoenix says casually.

Killian makes eye contact with several Fae, smiling and nodding to them.

“They have nothing to fear,” he says to Griffin.

  “They’ll know that in time.”

Stopping at a drink booth, I lift the cup and down the ale. The white horned and winged woman serving the ale smiles brightly.

“I’m so pleased you like it.”

  “I appreciate you offering it.”

The woman blushes, then glances at Griffin. “She is a precious gem.”

Three small Fae children run up to me, their hair in disarray around their pointed ears.

“Are you the druid witch?” the tallest little girl asks.

  “I am.”

“Can you…” she pauses, nervous. “Will you help my brother?”

Squatting down, she lifts his pant leg to show a wrap of herbal leaves around a wound. Leaning down, I make sure he’s comfortable with me touching him, then remove the herbal wrap. There’s a deep cut that would take a long time to heal and would be susceptible to infection. Placing my hand over it, I release earth magic, and the children’s eyes widen as they watch the wound heal. The boy’s small brown eyes are alight with new energy and fascination.

  “Thank you,” he says shyly.

The older sister hands me a large, colorful flower.

“Thank you. My mama will be grateful.”

Taking the flower, I breathe in its beautiful fragrance as the children run off. A familiar, attractive, blond-haired Fae woman with little tan horns approaches us.

“You’ve developed quite the reputation here.” Haven stares at each of my guys with a sparkle in her eyes, and a flare of possessiveness sweeps over me.

  “How so?”

“Talk has spread the curse-breakers are together, and your magic is rather strong.”

“That much is true. Haven, these are my boyfriends. You already know Griffin and Cyrus.” I point to the others. “This is Emeric, Phoenix, and Killian.”

Killian puts his arms around my waist. “I’m her mate—wolf shifter,” he shares.

“Demon-angel and vampire, I assume.” She points to Emeric, then Phoenix.

“How did you guess?” Emeric jests as he expands his wings, then folds them back down.

Haven giggles, clearly charmed by Emeric’s humor. “Your wings are beautiful,” she praises.

Emeric glances at me, smirking as though he finds her flirtation humorous. I’m sure he knows she’s irritating me.

  “Thanks, Haven.”

Killian releases me as Emeric pulls me into his arms. Brushing my hair off my shoulder, he kisses my cheek. Haven watches the exchange with a slight raise of her lip. It makes me feel great that my guys are making it clear they’re taken. Emeric keeps an arm around my waist as Haven flicks her hair off her shoulder and continues chatting.

“Ancor told everyone you were coming and not to be scared, that you were here to remain safe until the curse is broken.”

“He’s not wrong. That’s the plan.”
<
br />   “Hopefully, you don’t bring the devil to our home,” she says without malice, more with sincere hope.

“He can’t breach the barrier our ancestors created, even if he found Mordeeves,” Griffin shares.

“How would we know if he can shapeshift?”

“We’ve had this conversation before.” Griffin sounds exasperated with her. “Even disguising himself, he can’t breach the barrier.”

“With all of my heart, I hope you’re right.”

“I am. Ask Ancor if you need the reassurance.”

Emeric cuts in, pulling Haven out of her worried thoughts. “Do you know where I can find a sheath for my sword?” Pulling the handle from his belt, he reveals more of the blade.

“I do.” She beams. “Next aisle over, third tent on the right. Cadmar is an excellent leather maker. He’ll want a trade, so make sure to have something to offer him he can use or be willing to get something he needs.”

“Thank you.” Emeric gives her an appreciative nod.

Batting her lashes at him, she smooths her hand down her yellow dress, accentuating her breasts and slender waist.

  “I’m happy to help.”

“Have a good evening,” Griffin tells her after glancing at my annoyed expression. Taking my hand, he pulls me past her. The other guys join us, and I glance over my shoulder to see her watching all of us with interest in her gaze.

“Thank you. I couldn’t take another minute of her flirting.”

They chuckle, and Emeric squeezes my ass.

  “We know. We could tell.”

Moving past the last tent, we enter the next aisle and search for the leathermaker’s tent. Finding it, Emeric and Griffin lead the way inside, giving a welcoming nod to the slim yet muscular pointed-ear Fae, sitting on a wooden stool.

Griffin pats Emeric on the shoulder. “My friend here is in need of a sheath for his sword.”

Emeric pulls the blade out of his belt loop and reveals the blade. The Fae’s eyes widen with fascination.

“What beautiful craftsmanship,” he exclaims. “I can create what you need but will need a trade for such work.”

Griffin gives a dip of his chin in acknowledgment. “What will you trade the work for?”
