Jesse waved at Matt as Matt waved back, smiling.
The four spirits finally beamed upward.
John sighed.
“This is going to be a rough one to explain to the bank.”
A house that’s no longer there… would be hard to explain away to the bank, Brad thought. Some reason or another, he had a small chuckle to this thought. But somewhere, he knew everything would be okay and handled. How? He didn’t know… but let’s call it—intuition.
CHAPTER 20
The Herrick family had moved on with their lives. Brad was in college, and Jesse was about to finish up middle school. Oh, yes, and Mary gave birth to a healthy young boy named, Mark. John, too, became very successful in his own auto repair business that he’d started a year later after Archon’s death.
And builders had already started to build where the old house on Elm road use to be. A, very wealthy, couple had purchased the land and wanted to build their dream home. Perhaps, it would become a dream home from hell. But maybe not, maybe the couple would live happily ever after. Wouldn’t that just be heavenly?
