Deadly Game Page 26

by D. S. Butler

In an ideal world, they would have been able to put Curtis away for a very long time, but sometimes cases didn’t work out like that. The team had done their best, and on this occasion, that had to be good enough.

She chuckled as Benny turned the page, pointed out another game in the magazine and began to enthusiastically tell her all about it.

Charlotte smiled at the thought of Mackinnon, Tyler and Collins still in the Red Herring, celebrating the end to a harrowing case. They deserved a good night out. Both girls were home and they were safe. That was a good result for everyone.
