Twisted Tales of Mayhem Page 21

I grit my teeth but nod at them to let me go. “I’m cool… let’s just do this shit and get the fuck out of here.”

Henderson leers at me. “About time. Okay, so payment? I know we discussed ten grand, but because of this shit show and Aero’s lack of respect, I’m cutting it down to seven—”

“Then you lose twenty percent of the product,” I blurt out in rebuttal.

Henderson pulls a gun from the back of his pants waving it through the air. I grip onto my gun tighter but don’t move it from my side.

“This is not how it works, VP. You screwed me with your insolence, so now I screw you.”

I bring my gun up aiming it at him this time without caring, causing a chain reaction. My gun goes up, then Isaac’s aims at me, then my brothers all take aim at everyone else, and again we’re in a stalemate with guns pointing all over the motherfucking place.

My breaths are coming short and sharp. I have no idea how the hell this is going to turn out as I want more than anything to take Henderson out right here, right now. My pulse rings in my ears while Henderson’s eye twitches, his finger moving slightly on the trigger. My instinct is to fire, my finger moves to the trigger also as my heart rate rises fast. The energy in the room is palpable—everyone eyes everyone.

  He moves.

  I move.

I shift my finger to pull the trigger when suddenly a knock on the door sounds twice.

All our heads snap to face the door. Everyone’s stock-still, guns at the ready as we watch the door not knowing who the fuck is on the other side. I swear to God, if they’ve set us up, I’m going to gut every last one of them myself and enjoy every goddamn minute of it.

Suddenly the door starts to open. I glance to Henderson, and he looks equally as surprised as we are. We all turn, our guns at the ready. A short brunette maid steps through absentmindedly humming with a bucket of cleaning gear while she stares at the floor like she’s in a world of her own. The door clicks behind her, and finally, she glances up. We’re all watching her with bated breath as she stops abruptly taking us all in, our guns aimed high and firm right at her. She squeals dropping the bucket, all the gear flies in various directions all over the floor as she turns to bolt for the door. I don’t hesitate, running faster than I thought possible, grabbing her from behind. My arms wrap around her tiny but curvy frame as she lets out a husky scream, her body kicking back up against mine. One arm wraps around her waist, the other moves over her mouth to muffle her screams and stop her from drawing attention to this room.

“Jesus Christ, H, you didn’t fucking tell them no maid service when you booked the room?” Crest calls out as I struggle with the feisty maid in my arms bringing her to the middle of the room. She’s strong, I’ll give her that.

He shrugs. “Didn’t think we’d be here long enough for the maid service, but now she has, we’re out of here. You can deal with her. We’ll be in touch.” Henderson signals to his five lackeys, and they holster their weapons as I feel the woman breathing heavily against my palm.

  She’s stopped screaming.

  For now.

I watch the Mortem Crew leave without their package and without paying us.

  An unsuccessful trade.

This will come back to bite us for sure.

But for now, we have more pressing issues, like the woman in my arms.

Once the door is closed, my brothers all circle around the maid, and it’s enough to make her fighter instincts kick back into gear. She rears up on me, her legs flailing and waving about as she tries to wrangle free. Trying to hold on, I struggle with this little firecracker. My fucking brothers stand there chuckling and watching me without helping like the assholes they are.

Unexpectedly, her teeth clamp down on my palm making me grunt out in pain as she juts her ass back into my groin forcing me to overbalance, and I can’t help but let her go. She bolts away from me as I glance up to see Grim step in front of the door blocking her exit. She skids to a halt in front of him, her wild eyes jerking around in stern fierceness rather than fear. She knows there’s no way out as she spins back to look right at me with her hands on her hips.

It’s only now I get a good look at her.

  She’s young.

  Probably early twenties.

The face of a damn goddess.

She must be Latina. Puerto Rican? Mexican? Spanish? Something like that. But it’s the fire in her eyes, it burns so hotly it has my cock throbbing. There’s something about her, she may be dressed in a gray and white maid’s uniform, but this woman is setting the room on fucking fire.

Her button nose turns up as she leans forward glaring at me pointedly. “Vete a la mierda!”

I raise my brow as my brothers all chuckle at the tone she’s said that in. I, of course, have no idea what she’s actually said, but the way she said it, whatever it was, has me all kinds of fucked-up right now. I’m strangely turned on by her confidence.

I exhale looking to Crest as he stands to edge closer to her, but I put my hand out to stop him. “I got this.”

The rest of my brothers assess me as I step closer to her.

She eyes me up and down, a glint of something in her eyes. Fuck! I can’t tell what she’s thinking. Hell, I don’t even know if she knows what the hell’s going on. So, I figure I better see if she does.

“Do you speak English?” I ask.

Her eyes widen as she turns up her lip crossing her arms over her chest while sending me the mother of all death glares. “Do I speak English? Jesucristo! Of course, I speak fucking English you idiota…” she continues to mumble under her breath, but it’s so low I can’t hear her.

My brothers’ chuckle behind me as I take another step closer, but she looks up at me, that fierce look back in her eyes. She tenses, and I raise my hands in a gesture of surrender. “I’m not going to hurt you. But what you saw in here… it’s a problem.”

“Hijo de puta,” she mumbles seeming a little more concerned this time as she scrunches up her face. “This fucking job… dead bodies in the hotel rooms, and now this… maldito infierno!” Her head snaps up. “The dead bodies, was that you?”

I crease my brow glancing to Crest wondering what the hell she’s talking about. I look back at her. “Not us, though we probably know who. But we’re not talking about this right now. The issue at hand is you.”

She inhales sharply. “What about me?”

I can’t help but wince. “You have to come with us.”

She sneers at me throwing her hands in the air in palpable anger. “Mierda! No way in hell!”

Watching this spitfire rear up like this in her native tongue is doing something fucking strange to me. It shouldn’t, I know what needs to be done, but all I can think about is my fucking throbbing cock.

“Get control of her, Aero. We need to get the fuck outta here,” Crest demands sounding completely annoyed with this situation.

Nodding, I turn back to the maid. “You can come with us willingly, or we take you by force.”

She glares at me, and for a brief moment, I feel sorry for her getting mixed up in this shit. She walked in at the wrong time, now she’s going to have to pay for it.

But how she leaves right now, that’s her choice entirely.

  Chapter Two

  AERO

Her eyes dart around the room like she’s trying to asses her next move. She breathes rapidly as she attempts to shift, hesitates, and then makes a run for it. I grunt out my disapproval as she bolts for the door again, so I reach out, my arm looping around her waist. She fights against me for all she’s worth. Her nails gripping and digging into my arm as I tighten my grip around her. My other wraps around her mouth. Her husky gasps are making this harder—she sounds so fucking sexy as she tries to call out for help, but it doesn’t do any good. I’m smothering her voice too much as Dux quickly grabs his backpack, yanking it around his front and pulls out his trusty cloth and his bottle with clear liquid. She continues to struggle against me as I keep my grip on h
er while Dux puts some of the liquid on a soft cloth then rushes over. She’s trying to scream under my hand which is wrapped around her mouth. Those husky tones coming from her are fucking sexy, but I need to reign myself in and get this done. Dux steps up, I quickly pull my hand away, and he slaps the cloth over her face. She struggles as she breathes in the fumes.

Her body fights longer than I thought she would as my brothers pack up the mess in the room, leaving no trace of us or her cleaning gear as we ready to leave. Finally, her body fails her. Her fingers give out and stop clawing at me, and her body goes limp in my arms as she passes out cold from the fumes invading her lungs. This is shit, but there’s not much else we can do.

Dux steps back giving me a brief nod, and I turn toward him, hoisting the maid over my shoulder. Grim opens the door, checking each way first before we make our way out as stealthily as we came in.

Luckily Dux brought the van, and I rode with him, so now I can ride in the back with the girl in case she wakes up in transit. We make our way out to the underground parking garage. Luckily there’s no one around as Dux opens the back of the van, and I place her carefully down inside.

Crest looks to me shaking his head. “You got this?”

I simply nod. “Yeah, I’m good.”

He flares his nostrils. “Well, at least you’ve got something today,” he grunts turning and stomping off to his ride.

Dux grimaces as I roll my shoulders and step up into the back of the van to sit with the maid. He closes the back doors with a heavy thud, and I sit down opposite her as she lays on her back completely out of it. I feel like shit that we had to do this to her, but it was the only way to get her out of there quietly. We couldn’t have a scene. We don’t need people asking questions as to why we were there.

Now we need to see how this plays out.

  I already know.

  It’s a damn shame, too.

The van starts up, the rumble of the engine sends a vibration through to the back, and I watch her for any signs that she might be coming around.

  Nothing.

As we pull out onto the road, I wonder if maybe we went a little too far. Maybe we left the cloth on her face for too long? So I slide over to her and lean down to check her breathing. Without warning, she lunges at me, her hands flying all in my face, her nails scratching at my skin when I fall back against the side of the van, hard. She plunges onto my lap while she screams incoherently as I grab for her arms, restraining her instantly, but she continues to try and fight me as she pants heavily for air.

“Take it easy, woman,” I yell as I grab her arm pulling it down and around so her back is now restrained against my front, her arms crossed against her chest in a deadlock. She can’t move as she sits on my lap tight against me. Her head flips from side to side as she grunts grinding down on me.

She’s trying to make it uncomfortable, but she’s grinding on my cock, and all it’s doing is turning me the fuck on. “Quit it! You’re not going anywhere, so give it a rest and calm down.”

“You’re kidnapping me! Why the fuck would I calm down?” she blurts out still breathing hard and fast.

I hold onto her tightly as I steady my own racing heart. I need her to calm down, so I have to get her to relax. Get her to start talking. “Tell me your story… where are you from? You’re obviously not from Michigan.”

She lets out a huff finally relaxing slightly, her body slumping against mine in a more even state. This could be mistaken for an intimate pose if I weren’t holding her against her will right now. She exhales, her body finally going limp like she’s given in. She’s not fighting, not right now anyway.

“I have a big family,” she admits first.

I raise my brow wondering if that means a husband at home and some tiny shit-kickers running around. For some reason, that makes my stomach stir as she tenses slightly again.

  “Back home in España—”

“Spain?” I interrupt wanting to clarify.

She sighs. “Yeah… my family depends on me. My mother, my siblings, but most of all my father.”

Tilting my head, I lean in closer even though I’m pretty damn close anyway. I smell the fruity tang of her hair, and my cock jolts in my jeans. “Why’s that?”

“My papa… he’s sick. Cancer. They need the money I make to help with his treatments, and for the rest of my family to live. Elias, my brother, and Amalia, my youngest sister, are still in school, so I need to pay for them to attend while Gabrielle and Sofia, my other sisters, work in Spain to bring more money into the house. But I bring in the most, and without me, Papa won’t get his treatments.”

My stomach falls through the bottom of the damn van and out onto the road. Her story is fucked up, and the outcome of today could impact not just her life but her entire family. I might be a hard man, I might be a twisted man, but I’m not cruel, and this seems unfair.

“I want to work hard to earn enough money to bring my family to Michigan to live here with me. Where I’m from, Extremadura, the town is not booming. If anything, the socioeconomic climate there is in a downturn, and it’s hard to get together any sort of money for my family. They need to come to America to live like I have been… I want that for them.”

Something wet slides down my arm, I look over her shoulder to see a teardrop sliding along my skin. My chest constricts as I tighten my grip on her a little more, not to constrain her, but to send her some comfort.

  I feel for her.

All she wants is a better life for her family, and by being in the wrong place at the wrong time, she might have fucked it all up. The guilt is overpowering me as I tense up while feeling the van pull to a stop.

She tightens against me as I hold her a little firmer. The back door opens wide, the light startling me momentarily, and I blink rapidly while my eyes take a moment to adjust to the glare.

“You guys having a good old cuddle, Aero?” Crest calls out, and I roll my eyes.

She grunts as she wriggles in my grip trying again to break free even after our subdued ride. I tighten my grip on her as I stand us up and struggle, walking with her to the edge of the van.

“Let. Me. Go!” she grunts as she fights against me.

I jump from the back still holding her. She falls with me, but I land on my feet as she flicks her head forward and back trying to headbutt me. I love the fight in this little spitfire. We walk toward the clubhouse, and as we walk in, more of my brothers look to us raising their brows while the club girls keep quiet watching with open interest as I step with the maid down to the Butchery.

The brothers that were with me in the hotel come down too, they want to see how this plays out, and as I step inside the darkened room, my eyes fog. I blink rapidly as I whistle and someone flicks on the switch. I close my eyes waiting for the lights to flash on, and I give myself a second before I open them again. Everyone is filing in around me as I feel the maid tensing wondering why I’ve stopped at the doorway.

She has no clue, but I need to do this, or I might fuck it up.

Slowly, I take a deep breath as the fog lifts, and I walk with her into the silver room. She lets out an audible gasp as she tries to back up, but I keep forcing her forward. The walls are all stainless steel, the floor a linoleum green, and in the center of the floor is a giant drain hole.

The walls are covered with ornate tools and weapons, and as she looks around, I can feel her taking this all in. She knows why she’s here. She isn’t stupid. Her body shudders against mine as she shakes her head slowly.

She understands what she’s here for—what this room is for, what its purpose is.

  It’s our kill room.

It’s not called the Butchery for fun.

Grim moves to us with some rope. Reaching out, he grabs her hands as I hold her tying them together while she continues to shake her head. Words seem to be lost as she shudders almost uncontrollably against me. Grim takes her from me, and I reluctantly let her go as she stumbles from my grasp. Her slow and erratic movements m
ake her look intoxicated as he positions her in the middle of the room over the drain. He turns her to face me. It’s enough to make me want to be sick. The look in her eyes sends a chill to my very core. Her eyes well as Grim brings his gun up aiming it at her head. She bursts into a sob, and the husky sound nearly breaks me. Her pleading eyes have me weak at the knees.

“I’m sorry we have to do this to you. You seem… interesting,” Crest tells her, and she sobs again shaking so hard I think she might fall over at any given second.

My heart’s racing in my chest. Usually, kills don’t do anything to me. It’s just another person I don’t have to worry about, but there’s something about this woman, something I think needs to be explored.

Grim unclicks the safety on his gun, tension ripples through me as she looks into my eyes. Her breathing coming out so hard and fast I feel like I need to do something. His finger moves to the trigger, he starts to pull, and I can hear it moving.

  “Wait!”

She shudders, her hands rushing to her head as if to protect her while Grim curls up his lip. Everyone looks at me, obviously waiting for me to continue like I’ve lost my damn mind. Running my fingers through my hair not really knowing what to do, I step closer to her. “I’ll take responsibility for her. I don’t think we need to kill her. I’m sure she can be turned.”

Crest grunts as Grim lowers his weapon looking bored. “You better be sure on this, Aero, because if at some stage, we let her go, and she goes straight to the cops, especially after this, you know what that means for us. And with Malcolm Scott, the senator still hanging around like a damn bad smell, there could be shit to pay.”

I look at her dipping my head. “She has a lot to lose, pres, and from this even more to gain.”

Her hopeful eyes stare at me as if in awe as she almost smiles.

Crest nods waving his hand through the air. “You make the choice, woman. You stay here until we can trust you… or you get a bullet right now.” She looks at me tensing all over. “Don’t look at him, girl. You answer me!”
