Afterword
Hello, everyone! Welcome to my afterword. This is Brandon Varnell speaking. I sincerely hope you all enjoyed Man Made God 002. If you did, I hope you will do your best to help this series grow and reach more readers by writing a review. Books live and die by their reviews. Of course, I’m mostly just happy you are reading, and I hope you had fun.
Man Made God 002 is the second volume of my first real LitRPG series. I once again found myself struggling with the in-game stats, though I like to think I did a little better in this volume than I did my last one.
If you bought yourself the paperback, I am sure you’ve already noticed the first difference between 001 and 002. I changed the in-game stats from tables to simple centered text. When I first began writing this, I wanted to make the stats look super cool and went with tables because I felt it made them look more game-esque. Then some of my readers complained about how hard they were to read, so I changed it. I hope the new manner in which the game stats are presented is easier to read.
There is a lot going on in this particular volume. Adam has made a new friend, met Fayte and the others in-game, and has been going about searching for hidden classes so his team can have a leg up on all the competition.
I’m sure everyone has noticed how overpowered Adam is; there is a reason for that beyond me just wanting an overpowered protagonist. Some of you might have already figured it out. If you haven’t, worry not, everything should be made clear as the series continues.
There’s not much happening on the romance front right now. With Aris still sealed away in stasis, Adam is focusing mostly on becoming stronger in Age of Gods and helping Fayte, Susan, and Lilith become stronger too. I’ve made it so that he is very dedicated to Aris. While this series will eventually become a harem, I don’t want it to just happen. I am a fan of natural progression as opposed to instant gratification.
Before I leave you all, there are some last minute thanks I must give.
I first want to thank my editor and proofreaders. My stories are always such a mess before they come along and help spruce it up. While my manuscripts are never perfect, they are as close as I’ll be getting thanks to their help.
Another big thank you must go to Lonwa_A. He’s my artist for this series, and he does such an incredible job with the art. I really like the more realistic art style and think it suits a gamelit series like this better than the anime-style I normally prefer.
My last big thank you goes to my readers. You guys rock. I honestly can never thank you enough for sticking with me, and I hope you will all join me in Man Made God 003!
