They looked at each other sheepishly. “We only talked about wedding plans,” Liz admitted. “The two of us have some things we wanted to plan for you two. Secrets until the month of, but of course we’ll loop Olivia in under an oath of secrecy.”
She rolled her eyes and Levi snorted. “If you pull something like getting male strippers I’ll blow a damn gasket.”
“I, for one, am on board with male strippers,” Maeve commented, smirking at her fiance. “Make sure you find some that get completely naked. It ruins the experience if they keep on their underwear.”
Levi was glowering at her, but he knew she was kidding and everyone at the table laughed. The banter continued back and forth and she was surprised to find that her mom and Levi’s mom both fit in well here. Visits from them wouldn’t be tense or difficult. She never did manage to find out what they were planning for their wedding, but it couldn’t be anything too crazy.
Could it?
Regardless, she pressed herself up against Levi’s side and tried not to get too wrapped up in thinking about her wedding to the man that riled her up in all the best ways. They were together now and she was perfectly happy to focus on the present.
