Daniels- the Game of Mayhem Page 2

by Maha King David

“Make me” Jack said, making a run for it.

John shot. Jack fell. He ran over to his side, got the phone, ran to the window and jumped down. He landed on a car which caused beeping noise all over. He got the phone out and placed a call.

“Wan chi, where are you?” he said over the line.

“Okay, I’m coming, just hold up there. Prepare a flight for Beijing now!” he finally said and cut the call. Wan chi was their agent in the state airport and presently his only option on getting back. He had seen the news on the television in the hospital.

Lee Choi was dead and sadly had no successor, since he had no child. Anyhow things worked out… he thought as he stepped into a cab that had just stopped beside him.

“To the airport, please” he said to the driver, closing the door behind him.

  Back at the Hospital

Jack stood up from the ground and examined the injury at the point where he was shot. It was on his shoulder but he sensed no damage so that was good. The door opened behind him.

“Need some help” it was Dr. Wellington.

“Yes, please” he said relaxing against the bed.

At least he was gone for now…. he thought to himself and dozed off.

  Pluto International Airport

  Las Vegas

The taxi arrived the airport and in almost no time, Jake came down, paid the driver after being reminded and left for the aircraft which he had already seen in a distance.

“Good day Wan chi” he said as soon as he entered the plane “Thanks a lot, man. You’re a life saver”

“Well technically but sure you are welcome” Wan chi said, standing up to sit opposite him.

“Pilot, we’re good to go” he said and then faced his friend.

“Gosh, you look like ….” he started, trying to find the right word to use.

“Forget it, man. My mind is still on that Daniels White guy, my guess is he’s the mastermind behind that explosion” he said, throwing some pills of a pain reliever into his mouth.

“What! I thought you said that guy was dead” Wan chi reminded.

“He was on the news some days back declaring some stuff to charity and to confirm he was still alive”

“Damn! Did Choi know about this?” Wan chi asked, hysterical.

“Yeah, but he said not to concentrate on him. That he wouldn’t want to spoil his image in a foreign land”

“Well, when we get back we can think about him but for now, we treat you like a king, man” he said humorously.

Jake laughed. “Seriously Jake, Choi gave part of his shares to you and combined with yours, you are now the CEO, man”

“Wow! I hadn’t really thought about that” Jake said, gulping down a glass of champagne.

“Well congrats, man. So later” he finally said, leaving him to his thoughts.

He thought about Caitlyn; she must have died in the fire… poor lady. And then he dozed off.

  Pluto Aviation Company

  Philadelphia, U.S.A.

  Training Arena

“Jump, dodge …. And hit, now shoot” Zidane Black yelled out loud. He was training his one-time best agent and apprentice; Tracy Cole. In every training she seemed to participate in, she seemed extremely perfect.

“That’s very nice, Tracy. You hit the target right in the head. Let’s just hope you can do better in the real show. Okay?” he said, smiling and walked away.

“Okay, sir” she said confidently, sitting down on the chair and watching her trainer walk away. Zidane Black … he owned virtually all the airports in the states, except a few owned by White, some other guys and the government

He was wealthy, no doubt and paid her heavily ...but she sure wasn’t enjoying living her life like this. She lived like a movie character, a very secretive life and most times even marveled at herself but she could do nothing; At least not when she was already entwined. She had stayed here long enough. She needed to return.

  Jake Industries

  Shaanxi Province, China.

Jake Kalm walked with Wan chi by his side and a number of escorts as they entered the coal industry, one of Jake’s latest addition.

“You’ve really made Lee Choi to smile from his resting place, Jake” Wan chi, his assistant, said looking at the newly established industry.

“Exactly, my friend. I’m very happy we could get such a place in the province” he said, adjusting his suit.

“Nice choice, the province is popular for its large coal deposit. We’ll be richer than White in no time” Wan chi added.

“That reminds me, I have new plans for that guy. We shall discuss it on the way back”

  Ten Minutes Later ...

The Tornado, Jake’s private jet took off and soared high into the clouds. Off to Shanghai…

Mr. Jake dropped his left hand on his chair, picked up his cup of coffee and drank a gulp of it, with a bitter expression reappearing later on.

“Care for a cup?” he asked his assistant and drinking another gulp.

“No, thank you, Jake” Wan chi said, picking up his tablet. He turned it on. An icon of a greenish-black viper in the shape of a ‘J’ with a blue background appeared on the screen. That was for Jake. Every employee had the tab, everyone …

“Okay. Now let me tell you about my plan” he said looking at his direction.

  “Ride on” he teased.

“Now, my plan to finish that guy is to destroy his buildings and all his properties” he started and then paused.

“Since our plan to get him was a failed attempt, we use psychology to bring him down, and destroying his sources of wealth could do just that” he said relaxing back and smiling to himself.

“Jake…” Wan chi called out, after a moment of thought.

  “Yeah?” Jake answered.

“That plan might not work out, you know” he said, sitting up.

“Why do you think so?” Jake asked with the smile disappearing form his face.

“Well, from news and ongoing researches, White never leaves ant of his possessions except from his house and office headquarters associated with his name, so no one can trace any of his companies to him” he said, allowing what he had said to sink in.

Then he continued. “Plus he leaves very trusted persons in charge of those companies.

“Wow. Real smart. So how do we get this guy?” he asked, seemingly tensed.

“Well, sir. I think I have a brilliant idea from what you proposed” Wan chi said after a long moment of thought.

“And what would that be, genius?” he asked.

“An underground tunnel, sir” he plainly responded.

“Daniels White has some heavy security and a force field protecting the New York headquarters, but if we can find a nearby open place in which we can drill a tunnel towards the office from underground” he paused looking up and then continued. “We might just be on a safe side to be able to plant some explosives” he concluded.

“Hmmm … that’s some brilliant idea, so who are we using?” he asked rest assuredly.

“Sorry sir, we can’t use you” Wan chi said

  “Why not?”

“They must have already known your identity by now plus you are crucial to the company’s progress” Wan chi answered expressionless.

“We will use a guy called Chang Shi-minh. Simply Chang” he said pausing to show him a picture.

“Looks okay. So let’s set things up then. Tell the pilot to head for Beijing so we can send him out” Jake said with a commanding tone.

“Yes, Boss” Wan chi teased, standing up.

The last answer rang almost ten times in his head, causing him to smile within himself. He was now the second richest in the world … how nice.

  Chapter 4

  Whites Inc.

  New York

Daniels White came out of his new car. It was manufactured by one of his very own established car industries. Everything was designed according to his specifications and was highly secure.

He walked imperiously into the company flanked by about 6-7 bodyguards. Whites Inc. was really a cynosure to every American, talk less of a New Yorker. He had also just started a new construction in Florida.

He was just always the talk of the town; why shouldn’t he? He owned almost everything that could shift him up ranging from telecommunication companies to gas stations to mines to airports to food and drinks and many more companies each upgraded by him almost every month and giving him even more than he could estimate. He became the world’s first trillionaire some years back and money had still just kept adding on. He was just Daniels White.

He entered his office and the doors closed behind him. He sat down staring at some files on his table. And then a beeping tone on a device.

He answered it by swiping the screen.

Agent Kay wishes to see you, sir came a voice from the device. Let her in. he answered.

“So how was your holiday, Agent?” he asked from behind the chair after he noticed she had entered.

“I’m very sorry, sir” she replied, head down.

“You destroyed the tracking device we placed on you” he started. “Any other act of insubordination from you again, agent and you’re out of here before you know it. Am I clear?” he shouted, already standing now.

  “Yes, sir” She replied.

“Good, you may leave” he finally said, facing and turning on the television with a voice command.

  12:00PM

Chang came out of the car and entered the machine … thee transporter that would take him to Whites Inc.

“Okay, Chang.” Wan chi called out. “Immediately, you’re in, activate the drone by pressing this button” he continued, showing him the button.

“It’s going to give us some quick feedback of the surrounding environment, the number of cameras and is itself a camera” he explained.

“Wow! That’s a really good piece you’ve got” Jake remarked.

“Good luck” Wan chi said, signaling him to enter the machine.

He entered it and activated it. Almost immediately, a drill came out from underneath and then the journey began.

At about the crouch of an hour, he was in. The device’s beeping was a clear sign. He changed the angle of the front drill and it started upwards. He created a small hole, activated the drone and waited. He activated the transmitter in his ear.

After listening to what Wan chi had said over the line. He drove further to what seemed like a dead end and then made to go upwards. He then hit hard at the machine’s glass with his leg, came out and ran to a close by warehouse Wan chi had described.

“I’m in sir” he quietly said after settling.

“Okay, I’ll be careful, sir” he said hanging up, wan chi had just warned him about the cameras.

Hailey Tom watched the security footage of the company’s outer environment. His fellow partner Rob was also doing the same. He felt very tired but quickly waved it off at the reminder that he would be exchanging soon enough.

He looked close enough at something that had just caught his attention. He zoomed into the picture, there was some dirt on the road. Unusual … he thought. He was even too tired to go out now, he placed a call to the security patrol

“Be on the lookout” he said and dropped the phone.

  “What’s up?” Rob asked.

  “Nothing much, Rob”

“You sure don’t want to check it out. You know I can’t lose this job again” Rob asked.

“Okay, but just because of you, man” he said, reaching out for his gun from underneath the table.

He went to the spot he had located earlier, checked it and looked around. It was a small hole …he thought. He then moved towards the warehouse and turned on the light. The gardeners used here to keep their equipment most of the time.

He brought out his gun and clicked it, ready to fire.

“Anybody here?” he asked holding his gun with both hands and moving towards the end of the house.

“Warehouse clear, copy” he said over the piece and went out, closing the door and turning off the light behind him.

Jake brought out the tablet he was given and sent a message back … Coast clear, what’s next?

  Pluto Aviation Company

Zidane Black or rather, as he was called “The Air Marshall” sat down on the chair in his office watching the latest news from a news channel. He owned virtually all airports in the country but yet he wanted more. The aviation sector wasn’t even his major source, he was the number one in drug dealing and being who he was, always got away with his crimes. He was less than $30 billion away from the Chinese tycoon; Mr. Jake Kalm.

Anyways, with the ongoing plan he had developed to become the richest, not even the devil could stop him. He thought to himself as he remembered his weapon and smiled to himself.

  White’s Inc.

  New York, U.S.A.

Daniels White walked to his office with his newly purchased dog, the world’s most expensive –Gunther IV; priced at $37 million. He had decided to bring it along to work today since he was taking another picture for Forbes richest man of the century.

Chang walked down the hallway and entered the elevator. He adjusted his suit; which he had just stolen from a staff and wore a pair of sunglasses. He needed to get an ID … that would help him get around …he thought.

Jake had sent the next few steps to him earlier on. The glasses he was also wearing was given him by Jake; he said it transmitted back a video display of whatever he did.

The elevator stopped and Chang came out, acting all normal and stopped for a second.

“Where do I go from here?” he said, looking around, as if for something. Jake said to turn right, he did. Last office, by the left, he followed like a robot and then stopped for a while on the sight of a glass door.

“How do I get in here, there’s no handle?” he said, with his hand over his ear.

“Damn!” he screeched. He had to wait for the next entry. He heard voices coming towards the direction.

They were drawing near now … he walked back to the direction of the restroom. He walked past them without glaring and entered the restroom. He waited a little and then came out again. He walked quickly back to the security squad and was lucky to meet someone entering, he followed him and the door closed behind him. He looked around. Gosh! This place is magnificent … he thought, looking around.

Wan chi had just told him to avoid raising any suspicion by acting normal.

Wait. Turn a little to the left. Stop. Jake directed.

Then he figured out who Jake was trying to look at. It was Caitlyn. Looks like your girl was a spy, sir. He said over the line.

Get an ID and come back later in the night. He heard Jake say and then he left

  10:00PM

It was near closing time for the workers at Whites Inc. it closed by 10:30PM. Every worker started preparing to leave, and Chang wherever he was, was preparing to start work …

Chang’s wrist watch beeped, it was go-time … he thought to himself. He crept out of a corner he was hiding in and after sending a message, entered the building.

  “Forgot something” a fellow asked.

“Yeah” he said, hesitant. “My briefcase” he finished, and then went inside.

He put on the glasses and continued walking. Hope you didn’t forget the security guys? Chang just asked. “Of course not, I’m done with them already” he answered confidently and continued.

  Flashback [Earlier that day]

  8:00PM

Chang walked to the security office with a tray in his hand holding some cups of coffee. He put in the stolen ID at the checkpoint and the door opened.

Damn! He thought. another maximum security door stood in the way. How would he get in now?

He waved at the camera facing him and pointed towards the tray. The door opened but not after waiting for about five minutes. He entered.

“Who are you looking for? This place is strictly out of bounds to unauthorized persons”
Colonel Darren asked and then continued.

“Well sir, I’m sorry to disturb but I was told to bring this here” he said dropping the trey on the table.

“Okay, let me confirm” he said picking up his cellphone. After putting a call through, he smiled

“Thank you, you may leave” he said, pointing towards the direction of the hallway that led outside.

“Sure” he responded. He had already taken care of everything.

  Ten Minutes Later …

Chang was getting impatient. Had the drug’s power not paid off or what? … he asked himself. He tiptoed out of his hiding spot and went to check on them, they were already acting drowsy. This was his chance …

He boldly walked towards them and gave the four of them finisher kicks on the head. Wan chi had already disabled the alert system while Chang was there.

With that cleared, he now had to disable the cameras. He scanned the place for the plans and found them. There were three wires that had to be disconnected. He turned on the computer in front of him and after bypassing everything was able to get the configuration.

He looked at the cameras. Someone was heading this direction. He removed the wires, carried the tray, emptied the coffee cups and headed for the restroom.

A husky man dressed in a black suit and shirt entered moments later.

“Colonel Darren?” he said, waking him up.

  “Agent McClain?”

  “Agent Kelvin?”

  “Agent Bailey?”

This was definitely awkward, they weren’t responding. He had just retired from his security duty and handed over to these guy’s moments ago.

He picked up the phone. Chang, from where he stood was already getting tired. He picked up his gun, aimed at him and released. He was down in almost an instant.

Chang came out and walked out. He was down but not dead. The bullet was in actual fact a 9mm-sized syringe which on impact, the fluid inside would enter the victim and after he did wake, his memory would have been wiped. Jake had got it from a client of his.

Chang was ready for action now and no one was going to get in his way ... time for some mayhem.

  Chapter 5

  Whites Inc.

  10:10PM

It was go-time ... one would think, but this was just the beginning. Chang walked down the hallway and entered into the elevator … to the 30th floor, that was where the main security squad’s office stood. When the elevator stopped, he came out and relaxed back ... no one would definitely be here by now …he thought.
