As the main culprit of this particular incident, the Ye Family had also become the target of Su Lang's revenge. His hatred was especially directed towards the Sixth Young Master of the Ye Family.
"It's such a pity that I don't have enough gold coins. Otherwise, I would have upgraded the functions of the system to exact revenge."
A cold light suddenly flashed in Su Lang's eyes. He then asked, "System, how much time would it take to break through to the next small realm of the Mortal Realm?"
[The Host will only need five hours to break through to the next small realm.]
"Hmm.... Five hours.... The effects of the pills should already have been taken into account."
With that in mind, Su Lang began calculating. Having already consumed four medicinal Body Tempering Pills, the final one would last him another three hours.
"Looks like I'm going to need to buy more pills."
Su Lang found a decent-sized rock before sitting down. All he needed to do now was wait for the two members of the Broken Axe Hunting Group to gather the remaining items.
CHAPTER 29 - BE A GOOD PERSON IN YOUR NEXT LIFE
Within the span of ten minutes, a large pile of items appeared in front of Su Lang.
Among that pile were large amounts of materials gained from killing various F-class Vicious Beasts, including the Wind Wolves.
Apart from those materials, there were even medicinal herbs and all kinds of ores. The most previous among the pile was the Tier 5 medicinal herb obtained during the recent expedition.
"Pack these items up."
Su Lang waved his hand and exclaimed, "Hurry up."
"Yes, of course!"
The two men from the Broken Axe Hunting Group quickly complied and gathered everything on a cart.
"Well done. I hope the two of you will be born as good people in your next life."
Su Lang nodded indifferently and slowly pulled out the cold Tang Blade.
"No!"
The two burly men were both shocked as their eyes filled with despair.
"Ghost Moon, plunder!"
The cold glint of the blade flashed in that instant before disappearing back into its sheath.
With that, Su Lang began pushing the cart towards the entrance of the stronghold.
That's right, he wanted to sell these items!
Although he will be taking inevitable risks by doing so, the large amounts of profit would definitely be worth those risks.
Moreover, as long as he continued to get stronger, what kinds of trouble could he not solve?
After walking for a few more hours, the dusk slowly approached as darkness began surrounding the forest. Su Lang dragged and concealed the cart in a thick part of the forest. Confirming that it would not be easily discovered, he then walked towards the entrance of the stronghold.
There was a man boasting his large muscles guarding the entrance. When he saw Su Lang, he only nodded slightly before letting him in.
Walking down the narrow passageway once again, Su Lang came to the City Gate Hall and proceeded to look for a place where he could sell materials and other items.
Just as Su Lang walked over, however, a man suddenly ran over and blocked his path with a smile on his face.
"Hey, nice to meet you!"
The man that looked like a scammer said in suspense, "Judging from your killing intent, I'm afraid that your affairs might not be quite suitable for a normal store."
"Aiya, don't be in such a hurry to deny it. I've seen many people like you, so I can't be wrong. Just tell me about your matters. I'm someone from the Hidden Treasure Pavilion."
"We're a business that deals with all kinds of Vicious Beast materials, heavenly materials, and earthly treasures. Neither do we get too involved with our customers' personal business, nor do we reveal their private information and identity."
"Our headquarter is located in the Eastern Mountain Stronghold. Having done business all over the surrounding dozen or so strongholds, we have become widely known for our trustworthy reputation."
Su Lang's expression changed immediately.
In that instant, he rummaged through the original host's memories and really found information regarding the Hidden Treasure Pavilion.
Having never left the house, however, the original host had only ever heard his parents talking about the organization once. If it wasn't for some from the Hidden Treasure Pavilion appearing in front of him now, he would never have recalled the organization's existence.
"Hmm.... How should I address you? May I know more about your deals?"
Although Su Lang was not afraid of trouble, he did not see a need to make a mess of the situation.
"Hehe, you can call me Old Qian."
Old Qian revealed a bright smile upon noticing Su Lang's interest. He then continued, "Our Hidden Treasure Pavilion purchases items at 80% of the market price in the City Gate Hall. However, you will not have to worry about any troubles regarding the deals."
"80%? I guess that's fine."
Su Lang nodded and said, "The items I'm looking to sell are worth around 1000 gold coins. You should make preparations for that."
"Around a thousand gold coins? No problem!"
Old Qian nodded with a smile and replied, "Let's go. The goods are outside the city, right? I'll go take a look at the goods. If there's no problem, I'll return to the city and bring you the money."
Seeing how Old Qian agreed to the deal so easily, Su Lang felt more at ease.
Soon enough, the two of them departed from the city and went to the location where Su Lang hid the cart of items.
"Aiyo, there's even a Tier 5 medicinal herb. Not bad.... Not bad at all!"
Old Qian skillfully glanced through and analyzed the items in the cart before saying, "These items should be worth 900 gold coins in total. I'll buy them from you for 720 gold coins."
Su Lang revealed a slight frown upon hearing those words. After all, that was one to two hundred gold coins less than he previously estimated.
When Old Qian noticed Su Lang's hesitation, he quickly added, "Seeing that this is your first time doing business with us, in addition to the Tier 5 medicinal herb, I'll increase the price up to 750 gold coins. How about it?"
"Deal."
Su Lang nodded immediately, not wanting to waste too much time.
"Okay, let's make the trade back in the city."
After finalizing the deal, Old Qian smiled happily and said, "You can just leave these items here. I'll arrange for someone to come over and take them."
"Then, let's go."
Su Lang nodded in satisfaction. Although the price was a little lower than expected, the Hidden Treasure Pavilion's service was quite professional.
With that, the two of them went back into the stronghold. Old Qian walked to the City Gate Hall to retrieve seven low-grade Spiritual Stones and 50 gold coins and handed them to Su Lang as promised.
"I will stay in this place and look forward to our next deal!"
Old Qian reached out his hand and shook Su Lang's hand before turning around and taking his leave.
CHAPTER 30 - THE THIRD HEAVEN DEFYING FUNCTION
"Hehe! With a total of 1430 gold coins in my possession, I can now upgrade the One-Click Martial Arts Function!"
Su Lang could not help but reveal a satisfied smile. Before leaving the City Gate Hall, however, he went ahead and purchased a high grade Body Tempering Pill worth 12 gold coins.
Along the road to his next destination, Su Lang thought to himself, "System, exchange all of my Spirit Stone into gold coins and deposit them into the storage."
[Ding! Exchange successful, Deposit successful!]
Within the mysterious black space, the number behind the gold coin icon increased to a total of 1418.
"System, upgrade the One-Click Martial Arts Function!"
Su Lang ordered without hesitation.
[Ding! Consuming 1000 gold coins, Upgrading the One-Click Martial Arts Function to Level 3, Increasing the rate at which the Host cu
ltivates martial techniques to 4 times the base speed!]
[Ding! Host, congratulations on obtaining the ability to unlock the third function of the system. You will only need 100 gold coins to activate it!]
The magnificent sound of the system notification caused Su Lang to burst in excitement.
"Hu—!"
Heaving out a breath of air to calm himself down, he proceeded to say, "System, activate the new function!"
[Ding! Consuming 100 gold coins, Clone Dispatch Function activated!"
[Ding! Congratulations, you have successfully activated the third function of the system. Furthermore, you have obtained the additional functions, 'Perfect Larceny,' 'Doppelganger Detection,' and 'Item Transmission.']
[Ding! The Clone Dispatch Function is currently Level 1. The ability allows the Host to create a clone of himself to perform whatever task. Upon the death of the clone, the ability will be on cooldown for 24 hours before the next use.]
[Ding! Host, congratulations on successfully activating three functions. The Storage Space, allowing one to store items infinitely, has now been unlocked.]
Su Lang was clearly dumbfounded by the series of system notifications.
Before he even recovered from his shock, a small purple figure started to generate in the mysterious black space of his mind.
Similar to the other figures, the small purple figure was also created with Su Lang's appearance in mind.
Standing motionlessly behind the other two white figures, it was waiting to receive orders from Su Lang.
At the same time, information about the Clone Dispatch Function entered forcefully into Su Lang's mind, allowing him to instantly understand everything there is to know about this function.
Firstly, the clones would have the exact same combat strength as Su Lang.
From the first few words alone, this function was without a doubt already an extremely abnormal and heaven-defying ability.
One had to know that cloning techniques were extraordinarily difficult to come by in this world, surpassing the rarity of the profound-rank martial techniques. Not to mention Martial Generals and Martial Emperors, even the cultivators in the Immortal Realm would do anything to get their hands on such a technique.
Moreover, even if those experts successfully cultivated those cloning techniques, their clones would only have a tenth of their own strength, or perhaps even lower than that.
What was even more ridiculous what the Su Lang's clones could ignore the spatial barrier of this world, meaning that he could send them to any places that he previously had impressions of.
For example, the Union House, the stronghold of the Broken Axe Hunting Group, the City Gate Hall, the trading street, the restaurant, etc.
Su Lang could essentially send his clone to anywhere he had been to in an instant as long as he could pinpoint the coordinates of the location.
Moreover, Su Lang's five senses was connected to that of his clones. Everything his clones had experienced on his end, Su Lang would also be able to feel.
This implies that Su Lang could dispatch his clones on multiple missions at once.
In addition, his newly-attained skill, 'Perfect Larceny,' would give both him and his clones a 100% drop rates for mobs.
All the targets killed by Su Lang and his clones would have their items stolen by them and sent to Su Lang's personal storage as the spoils of his battles, regardless of how valuable the items are.
As if that wasn't enough, the Storage Space even allowed Su Lang to store an infinite amount of items.
One must understand that spatial items such as the Storage Space could only be possessed by cultivators of the Martial General Realm. Furthermore, their spatial storages — a few cubic meters in size — would already be deemed impressive.
Compared to Su Lang's Storage Space, theirs were simply trash tier spatial abilities.
Lastly, the 'Item Transmission' function enabled Su Lang to transfer items between him and his clones as often as he wanted to.
"Damn, these system functions are basically cheat abilities!"
"With these functions, I can simply send my clone out on hunting missions and earn gold coins in my place."
"Furthermore, I can even have my clones assist my in battle, which would greatly increase my combat strength!"
Even after recovering from his shock, Su Lang was still so excited that he kept gasping in disbelief.
The third function of the system was far too abnormal!
The only drawback to this function was that the Spiritual Intelligence of the clone was lower than expected.
At this moment, his clones could only engage in battle and carry out the most simplest of orders.
During conversations, Su Lang would have to give orders to his clones for them to speak even the most basic sentences.
However, this one downside did not affect the combat strength of the clones at all.
"I can't wait to summon a clone!"
Su Lang's eyes sparkled in excitement as he quickly booked himself a room in a hotel nearby.
CHAPTER 31 - SHOCKING HUNTING EFFICIENCY
"Kacha!"
With a dull sound, the door was locked and separated Su Lang from the prying eyes of the world.
"Hiss..."
Su Lang took a deep breath and summoned his clone with a thought.
As if a specter, a man appeared in front of Su Lang. The man was naked and looked one with nature. With a rustic appearance, he didn't seem out of place at all.
"Tsk tsk..."
Su Lang circled the clone, inspecting every nook and cranny while making an occasional clicking sound.
The clone was a picture-perfect copy of him. From the hair to the nails on his toes—everything felt familiar.
The only thing that could differentiate between them was the eyes. To be precise, it was the divine glow that illuminated Su Lang's eyes.
Su Lang's eyes were clear and had a divine glow to them. On the other hand, the clone had nothing in his eyes apart from chaos and killing intent.
"Awesome, just awesome!"
Su Lang couldn't help but clap his hands in admiration.
If some looked at Su Lang right now, they would see him clapping humorously in front of another naked man who looked strangely like him. One can only reach one conclusion from this: Su Lang had fetishes, weird fetishes.
After a thorough inspection, he was satisfied with the clone and recalled it. After that, he went to the clothing store outside.
He planned on buying some clothes for himself and his clone. Since the clone was a copy of him, he couldn't have it running around naked. After all, he had a reputation and his steller image to protect.
After roaming around in the store, he finally decided on a few gaudy yet mysterious-looking hoods.
When he was about to leave the store, the owner gave Su Lang a few white masks. Surprised, he looked at the owner and found the "I got you, fam" smile on his face.
It wasn't hard to conclude the shop owner's thoughts. He obviously thought that Su Lang was about to do something shady.
Su Lang couldn't care less about what the owner thought about him. He ignored him and went to the weapons shop and bought a Tang Blade. This ten gold coin sword was going to be his clone's weapon.
Above the Tang Blade, there was a top-tier weapon. Su Lang took his time while inspecting the weapons rack. He was stunned when he saw the price attached to the weapon as it cost a full 3,000 gold coins!
"If I had that kind of money, I would have just upgraded the system!"
Curling his lips in disdain, he left the store and returned to the hotel.
"Come on. Dress up; put it on!"
Under Su Lang's command, the clone put on the hood and the white mask.
"Tsk tsk, what killer looks and style!"
Looking at the black-robed, white-masked clone, Su Lang smiled in satisfaction. With a thought, he sent the clone out and experienced the world from a third person's perspective.
Somewhere i
n the F-class Wind Wolf area, the black-robed clone appeared without a sound.
Without a moment's delay, a Tang Blade appeared in his hand. Su Lang sent the blade to the clone through "item transmission."
Suddenly, a rustling sound filled his hearing. The sound came from not too far away as he soon saw a large grey wolf crawling out from the bushes.
The wolf had sharp claws and an enormous body. It was an F-class Vicious beast—Wind Wolf.
"Roar!"
When the wolf saw the black-robed clone invading its territory, it got furious and pounced out with bloodshot eyes.
Even though the wolf was furious, it couldn't contend against the clone as the clone had the same cultivation as Su Lang.
Swoosh!
All one could see the silver shimmer of a blade before the head of the wolf flew into the air. Its lifeless body fell down with blood oozing out of its neck,
Soon, the corpse of the Wind Wolf disappeared into thin air.
Meanwhile, on Su Lang's side of things, a notification broke him out of his reverie.
Ding! You have obtained the Wind Wolf Claw Technique. Wind Wolf Fangs x2, Wind Wolf Flesh x10, Wind Wolf Skin x1... "
When he heard the sound, Su Lang inspected the storage space and found that the Wind Wolf's corpse was separated perfectly. Not a single item from the wolf was wasted as the system flawlessly segregated it.
"This is great. This system sure saves me from a lot of trouble by taking care of the corpse."
Su Lang revealed a bright smile.
One must understand that handling a Vicious Beast's corpse was no easy task. If one wasn't skilled, they would end up spoiling the medicinal properties of the beast. This would, in turn, cause the price to drop significantly.
"Roar!"
"Awoo!"
Soon, another two Wind Wolfs arrived there following the scent of their dead comrade.
Without any delay, the black-robed clone turned his wrist, and the blade flashed. The two wolves turned into corpses before they could even attack.
Ding! You have obtained the Wind Wolf Claw Technique. 'Wind Wolf Fangs x4, Wind Wolf Flesh x18, Wind Wolf Skin x2... "
