In a drought filled land, Erik Winters faces the desert aridness of his own existence. Abandoned by his mother, orphaned when his father dies, Erik spends his days on his uncle's farm working a land as dry and unyielding as his life. At night he dreams of a world far away from the endless toil of the fields. He hopes for a family, longs for a future and prays for a miracle.
