Read Protect and Serve Storyline:

Jake is a hardnosed police detective still in the closet but living a
gay lifestyle. He won't risk revealing his preferences down at the
precinct where he works. But how can he find a new lover now that he's
broken it off with his old one?
Ross is the hotshot DA that Jake has never been able to get along with.
They're supposed to be on the same team, but every time they interact,
Jake ends up pissed off and shouting. Still, Jake can't help notice how
dark and sexy the counselor is, how badly he wants to touch him.
One rainy night, Ross puts aside their differences and offers Jake a ride. Everything changes...
