Read Secrets in the Lowcountry--The River Storyline:

Stranded at the altar is every girl’s secret nightmare. When it happens to Taylor Harris, she is sure a dreadful accident has kept Rod from joining her. Living in the Lowcountry, Taylor understands problems can occur on the river, and a fishing trip can change in an instant from fun to trouble. She joins the search for her missing fiancée, but what Taylor discovers fractures her life.
Jeff Benjamin has been in love with Taylor almost forever. Reluctantly, Jeff accepts Taylor regards him as a big brother. Unable to compete, he watches his once best friend, Rod Pinckney entrap her. How does he tell her Rod’s not a knight in shining armor? If what Jeff suspects is true, his information might break her heart or worse cost him her friendship.

**This story is rich in detail and flavor - and anyone who lives or knows the Low Country will recognize this author's expertise. I loved how the characters grew and changed during the story - not wanting to give anything away - I loved when the little girl learned to ride the horse. This story has it all - a great and surprising mystery - love and romance - and humor that makes you laugh out loud. Great characters and surprising twists and turns makes this a five star review**

### From the Author

My previous books have been Historical Romances, circa late 1700's; one in Chadds Ford, PA, one in Philadelphia, and the last in Cape May, NJ, but our moved south exposed me to a whole new world of possibilities.

Living in the Lowcountry (yes, Lowcountry is one word) gives a writer thousands of ideas and scenes to draw upon. Take a walk, listen to the birds, see the live oaks with their 'angel wings' (branches that touch the ground and then turn toward the heavens), watch a black snake curling across the dirt road, hear 'gators singing their mating songs, and taste the salt/brine air. My list is endless as are the pleasures experienced everyday in South Carolina.

SECRETS IN THE LOWCOUNTRY--THE RIVER is the first of a series. Martin and Mary Harris's POV will dominated these books of mystery, intrigue, and of course Romance.

I hope you will come along for the trip.
