Sorority Girls With Guns
by Cat Caruthers
The last thing sorority girl Shade Stevenson wants is to spend her summer vacation living on a budget. But when her annoyingly sexy classmate Richard challenges her “financially obese” clique to live like paupers, she sees an opportunity to shut him up - and finally video blog her way to fame. Or at least a low-rated cable reality show. And how hard can budgeting be, anyway? Turns out, it's pretty hard. Luxury hotels don't take coupons, cheap motels smell bad, thrift stores don't have the latest thing from Paris and restaurants charge extra for everything in this economy. Not to mention that sex-tape scandals are soooo much easier to deal with when you can afford to pay off the blackmailer. And secrets, which abound in a sorority house, are a lot easier to keep when you can throw money at the problem. But while Shade and her friends vlog their struggle with Low Dollar Disorder, Richard has to keep up his end of the bet – living the high life off their credit cards. You'd think that would be the easy part, but Richard acts like he's being forced to climb Mount Everest without an oxygen tank - or lungs! When Shade figures out his secret past, she thinks she's got everything under control – until Richard uncovers a few of her secrets. As publicity from their vlog increases, it gets harder to keep everyone's secrets, and Shade is forced to choose between the fame she's always wanted and the not-quite-mirror image she's always worked to protect.
