Helena was responsible, independent, and career minded. So she felt deep shame for her lapse in judgement her senior year in college. Her one and only one night stand, and the jerk turned her into a werewolf. She’d do anything to keep her inner monster under control, and some days were harder than others. Too hard. To keep her sanity, she had to stay away from other wolves because they only teased her own to come out, which was bad news for her carefully controlled world.
Marc knew he needed to change some things in his life, but he had no idea how. He had no goals and hung out with all the wrong kinds of people. So when serious, put together Helena appeared out of nowhere, and obviously needed help containing her werewolf even though she insisted she didn’t, he found every excuse in the book to be around for her. Now if only he could find a real reason for her to need him in her life.
