With the caper planned for Mardi Gras eve, LaRue figures he and his gang will be lost amid the confusion of parades, parties and other festivities. Indeed, kooky characters abound, including a bellboy cum union activist, a reclusive gay couple from Atlanta, and a gold-digging Chicago blonde looking for love. But a mass of black clouds threatens to wash out Carnival as well as the crime, and when the storm finally hits, revelers and robbers alike run for cover. Hemmed in by Mother Nature, the befuddled - and bedraggled – survivors find themselves marooned together. As the thieves plan their watery escape, it is up to Tubby to thwart their murderous intentions.
