Crimson Vampire Night

I remember you saying the same thing to me when I was their age too. You know you can be more than our personal guard Uthyxeth. My grandfather isn't here anymore to give over long speeches right now!" Ishmael said.
"I have a duty to do! I have no use to play around or have childish things! They don't give me any sort of happiness!" Uthyxeth said.
"Why is that?" Ishmael asked him. "In the many centuries, have you not thought about any wants or needs beside being our guard!"
"I have! I always wanted to have a special person out there I would like to spend time with. But that is not my purpose! Growing up, I had no purpose, just a dhampir that was decided to die. My childhood was ripped from me when I was young and I was forced to fight everyday in my life. But when your grandfather found me, he gave me a family to serve and feel part of. Over the centuries, I got to be part of three generations of the Nightworth clan and the love of your grandfather, your father, and you. I must pay back that same love with my strength and spear. If I were to let that family down or fail to protect them when they needed me most. It would be a betrayal to him and you." Uthyxeth told Ishmael.
"I understand! But that doesn't mean one can't have a good time! So, tonight! I order you to have fun and play with those two boys down there. Uthyxeth looked down and saw Desmond and Deacon throwing snowballs at each other. Both seemed evenly match. Then two large snow balls were thrown at both of them. They both got up from the snow and saw the dhampir warrior with a bunch of snowballs in his hand. He started to have a small snowball war with them. They were running around pine trees, using logs to take cover. But they couldn't escape the seasoned warrior and his steathy and dead aim snowball throws.
"It seems you two are outmatched!" Uthyxeth said cornering them both in front of towering snow drifts. But then a large snowball hit the warrior in the back. He turned around and saw Ishmael with bunch of snowballs.
"Sorry! I just couldn't resist!" Ishmael said laughing. Then the boys started to throw snowballs at Uthyxeth with their father helping them. But then something happened that didn't happen in a long time. Uthyxeth was smiling. He even laughed. He counterattacked Ishmael with a massive snowball to the face.
"You should know better to leave your enemy to attack you. You should always put them down when given the chance." Uthyxeth told him with a smile as he bombarded him with snow. In the cabin, Helen watched them play outside. She preferred the fireplace but she didn't mind watching them though.
Then Uthyxeth came back to the present. He looked at the picture from his pocket that he always kept with him. It was one taken at that cabin in the 90s. It always made him smile. Behind him was Desmond who was watching him with his arms crossed.
"You smiling has to be the best moments I enjoyed from you!" Desmond told Uthyxeth. The warrior quickly tried to put back on his stone cold serious face.
"I don't know what you mean!" He said. "Yeah! Yeah! Keep up that act Uthyxeth. Inside, you're just a softie trying to make everyone happy!" Desmond said. "You know what! You and I are going out on the town together! I'm talking clubs, swimming, decorating people's yards with toilet paper. The whole works!"
"I don't need to do such things!" Uthyxeth said. "Bullcrap! In fact, I'm going to get you someone to take home tonight! You just watch!" Desmond said. He grabbed the warriors arm and pulled him with.
"That's an order by the way!" Desmond told Uthyxeth! "Of course! I can't wait!" Uthyxeth said.
"That's the spirit!" The two of them went to the garage where they took off for the night. They drove in the jeep into the city. While Desmond drove, Uthyxeth smiled looking out into the night.
Back at the village of Wolf's Hollow, The hunting lodge was busy as hell with The Receiver and the Newsman collecting all the dead monsters from the mall and over the past few weeks. They were so backed up, they had to use the roof to store something of them.
"We better get these suckers processed or Shane will have our asses for stinking up the whole town. You ever seen what happens to fish monsters out in the heat of the day. It's not pretty! I'll tell you that much!" The Newsman said.
"Oh relax! We're get all this cleaned up. I tell you what! Business is doing good now we with those Nightworth vamps. Now I have a whole new set of clients. Who would have guessed I'd be rolling in the spoils with this new alliance we have here. We should have joined up with them decades back." The Receiver said.
"I guess so!" "But there is one thing that bothers me! Where did all these monsters come from! How can a bunch of religious nuts train so many creatures so fast. Makes you wonder!"
"Wonder what?" "How long would it take them to rebuild an army of these things. My guess is, no long. I'm sure they won't have trouble finding nutty humans to join their cause either. Well, that's if they have any people left to do the recruiting first. Sounds like we wiped them out!" The Receiver said.
"Don't count on it! They always regroup and come back for more. that's the thing about them. They're insanity and the insane repeat themselves over and over again no matter what!" The Newsman said.
Meanwhile with Shane and Vesper, they were sitting out on the lake, enjoying the view. The two of them looked at each other, relaxing.
"What the hell was this week?" Shane said. "I need double the liquor after that ceremony!"
"Well it beats having our pack and home being annihilated. YOu got to say that's something!" Vesper said. "I suppose! man, I can't believe that the Nightworth Legion are going to be family. If my dad could see me now. Friends with vampires! Pretty soon we're going to have vamps around here too." Shane said.
"Wait till we have the first dinner together with Eldon and Deacon. I'm going to make my beef surprise!"
"Honey! That stuff isn't edible for humans let alone vampires!" Shane joked.
"Oh stop! I remember you liking it just fine! It will also be an excuse to drag you to the dinner table." Vesper said. "Oh! Is that what that thing in the dining room is?" Shane said. Vesper held Shane's hand. "It's all going to work out now! I can feel it!" Vesper said. They just kept looking out to the water till Shane looked over and said.
"You want to have sex!" Vesper looked over at him. "Like you have to ask me!" She said.
It was late that night after the ceremony at midnight. Ishmael and Helen were in their private study where they were drinking refined virgin blood. They were just having a moment together after the shitstorm they went through. Ishmael handed Helen a glass that she was very thankful for.
"Thank you!" Helen said. She was wearing her envy green dress this time. She was laying in the love seat next to the record player as Ishmael sat next to her. The fireplace make the whole room glow orange. The record player was playing Brandy- It almost doesn’t count with a soft vinyl fee.
"You're welcome!" ishmael said.
"So tell me! The Eternal Order must have been pretty upset with you rejecting their order!" Helen said. "Yeah! But they're over it now!" Ishmael said. "How did you do that?" Helen asked Ishmael.
"I told them about Wellington and his cultist pals were up to and were planning. Given our history with him, they understood. Pulus I told them that it's my city and I do what the hell I want! They respectively agreed with me!" Ishmael todl Helen
"I bet they loved that!" Helen said. "So now what happens to St. Charles. Someone has to take possession of it and keep the city safe. Now that we and the Crimson Hounds are allied together. Some out there might see this as a real threat!" Helen said.
"Don't worry! I have a perfect person in mind to take care of the city. Shane also had a person in mind too. Both of them are going to watch over the area together. I think St. Charles is in good hands!" Helen had to take a moment to think who he was talking about but it hit her.
"Oh! I see!"
"You want to dance?" Ishmael said.
"Oh, I'd love to Ishmael Nightworth!" The two started to dance the night away in their private study.
"Once we're' done, I have something else in mind!" He told her.
"Oh my!" Helen said kissing him. Both of them had the time of their immotaril lives that night. Meanwhile in a different location somewhere in the St. Peters area there were individuals scheming dark schemes and dreamings of dark plans. They were in a large worn down building, looking at photos of the destruction of the mall and the remains of Wellington. They also had photos of their former base in Six Flags.
"It seems that Wellington has failed us! How very unfortunate!"
"He was a vital resource to us all but we will continue you if we must!" "But our numbers have been wiped out! The souls have not been retrieved. They are not happy with us! I can feel it! You can feel it too."
"They can wait! They have waited for several million years and they were continue to wait till the stars are right! But do not worry about our numbers. Flesh is easy to come by!"
"What do we do now?" "We wait too! Till the moment is right again and they are left weak. Despite their immortality, they don't last forever." The figures stood in their room, waiting for that time to come. They waited for the time to make the world to its former self.
The next day, Deacon and Weldon were at this observation that sat on a hill in St. Charles, MO. Weldon had Deacon’s eyes covered as they were walking in.
“So what is this big surprise you had planned for me!” Deacon said. “You’ll see! Just Wait!” Weldon said. He was walking with his hands over the vampires eyes so he couldn’t see. Then they stopped.
“Ok! Here we go!” Then Weldon uncovered Deacon's eyes, revealing to him the sun right in front of him. Deacon covered his face in terror, thinking he was going to burn to death. But then he saws and felt that he didn’t at all there. He slowly looked, seeing the beauty of the sun right before it was setting. He also saw he was in front of a massive window with a dark tint to it.
“How is this possible?” Deacon said. “UV proof glass! You can see the sun without the harmful effects of UV. They made it for people with skin problems so they too can see the sun. Now you can too!”
Deacon looked at the sun with awe and wonder. The beauty glow of the orange light while it turned the clouds and the sky a pretty pink that looked straight out of a 80s art album in some synth show. He slowly touched the glass while tears started to go down his eyes.
“This is so beautiful!” Deacon said.
“I thought you’d like it! Now we can see it together!” Weldon said holding Deacon. “Together!” Deacon looked at the werewolf with passion and love.
“Thank you Weldon!”
“I’d do anything for you Deac! I love you!” Weldon said. “I love you too Weldon!”
They both kissed as the sun set on them. It was a long road but they made it through together and saved both their families and clans. They both had each other and their adventure was just getting started.
