His head dropped briefly, but when he lifted it again, he asked for clarity, “Will you marry me, Golden?”
Her eyes watered, and it was even harder for her not to cry when he kissed the ring on her finger.
“Yes,” she whispered through trembling lips, tugging him off the floor by his hand. “Yes, I will marry you.”
As a low groan escaped his lips, Hudson pulled her into his arms. Then, he lifted her into the air and wrapped her legs around his waist. As if that would bring her closer. And Reina wished it would. Prayed it would. Because she wanted to be as close to him as she possibly could.
Her left hand cupped his cheek, and she used it to keep him in place as she sucked his bottom lip into her mouth. But she was unable to kiss him as long as she wanted to because Hudson broke away just to say, “Damn. I got a baby in you.”
Reina giggled as she nodded and stared into his eyes. “Yes. You have a baby in me.”
Their smiles lingered for a while, but eventually, they fell as their lips connected once again. This time, they stayed locked. This time, Hudson carried her to the bed and laid her in the center of it. This time, Reina knew they would last forever. Because even though he’d confessed it first… she was and would always be… unequivocally… blindly… his.
