“I love you,” I whispered in his ear after he pulled away from my lips.

Leo gazed down at me as he positioned himself at my entrance.

“I love you, Tabitha,” he said. “You’re mine now. I feel like you’ve always been mine, and you will be mine forever. I will never give you up.” He pushed in a couple of inches. “I will never let you go.” He pushed in a few more inches. “If you ever leave me, there is nowhere in this universe you can hide where I won’t find you.”

A sharp pang of fear stabbed in my chest. I sensed that his words were more than a declaration of love and possession. I feared his words were a precursor to something unseen and destructive. I only had about one and a half seconds to feel that fear, though. One hard thrust and he was buried deep inside of me and any nagging feelings or worries I had were literally knocked out of me.

I shrieked at the invasion and Leo moaned loud and long as he held himself absolutely still. I breathed in small gasps as I tried to get used to the length and girth of him. Leo’s breathing was labored as he gazed at my face, outlining it with his eyes and storing it away in his memory. He began to move, slowly at first, pulling out until just the tip of him was barely inside of me and then sliding back in painfully slow. His kiss was just as slow. His tongue glided with mine leisurely. Then he was kissing my jaw and nibbling gently on my ear as he whispered to me about how good I felt, how tight and warm and wet I was.

I nibbled at his shoulder as one hand wove into his hair and the other hand roamed up and down his side. I felt so full of him, so connected to him. I felt as if I was a part of him and he was a part of me, and never in all of my imaginings did I believe that it could feel like this, like we were two pieces of one whole, all of our curves, lines, and parts fit together perfectly.

I sensed Leo’s restraint. I looked into his face and saw his locked jaw and eyes narrowed in concentration and knew he was holding back. I was feeling good, really good, and if this was how it would be all of the time, I would be happy with that, but what I wanted was for Leo to let go, to give me everything he had.

“Don’t hold back,” I said to him, caressing his jaw with my fingers.

“I don’t want to hurt you,” he said with some difficulty. “And I’ve waited so damn long for this. I want to feel you like this forever. Your tight pussy wrapped snugly around me… Damn, Tabitha,” he said on a groan as he thrust slightly harder. “I just don’t want it to fucking end.”

I wrapped my legs around him, drawing him in a little deeper, making both of us let out breathy moans.

“When it ends, we’ll just do it again,” I said, grazing my nails up his back. “And again.” I kissed his lips. “And again.” I slipped him my tongue. “Because we will have the rest of our lives, or until you’re too old to get it up.”

He growled and pushed into me a little harder. “My dick will always be hard for you, dolcezza.”

I groaned and sunk my teeth into his bottom lip a little harder than necessary. It made him growl again and thrust harder and a little faster.

“Have I ever told you how much it turns me on when you speak to me in Italian?” I asked and moaned and licked my lips.

A small, lopsided smile pulled at his lips. “Is that so?”

  “Mmm hmm.”

“Mmm. Mi piace la tua dolce fica,” he said and thrust harder. “Amo le tue belle tette e i tuoi capezzoli perfetti.” He dipped his head and took a nipple into his mouth even as he began to move at a faster pace. “Vuoi che ti scopi col mio cazzo?”

He loves the taste of my sweet pussy, and I think he said he loves my nipples, but I understood the question perfectly. Do you want me to fuck you with my cock? Of course, he was asking because we weren’t fucking, we were making love, and it was sweet and wonderful and beautiful, but there was restraint in making love. Slow, so slow, and gentle, and smooth, but I didn’t want restraint. I wanted him wholly.

  “Si,” I said huskily. “Scopami.”

Leo’s breath caught as he circled his hips and I moaned softly. “Once I start I won’t be able to hold back. I might hurt you.”

“So hurt me,” I encouraged. “I won’t break, and even if I do, it will be the greatest kind of break.”

He gave me one last questioning look.

In response, I made a demand through clenched teeth. “Scopami.”

Leo unleashed the animal inside of him and I knew I’d never be the same again.

My arms were forced above my head and pinned down. Before I could question it, Leo pulled out and slammed into me with such force that I was sure he had loosened every organ inside of my body. I let out a scream of exquisite agony, but before the sound of it could fade, he slammed into me again with a loud growl. It felt like one consistent, long scream as he pounded into me, grunting and cursing in Italian as he squeezed my wrists almost to the point of pain. He seemed to have swelled to an even more alarming size and I felt like he was going to tear me to shreds with his appendage, but I didn’t care. Damn, I didn’t fucking care. It hurt; it hurt so good. I had never welcomed pain like that and I wanted more, more, more!

Leo released my arms and sat up on his knees. He hooked my legs over his arms and then he was so, so deep inside of me, so deep, impossibly deep. He ducked his head and took a nipple into his mouth and sucked hard as he drilled me hard and fast.

“Leo!” I screamed his name as I clawed his back. “Leo, Leo, Leo,” I chanted his name like an invocation as heat raced through my body straight to my core. Then my words were incoherent as my orgasm rippled through my body without mercy, making my body tremble and convulse despite the constant cock pumping into me.

“Tabitha,” Leo grunted as his movements became jerky. “amore mio grande, sei la mia vita.”

“I feel such a fire for you inside. My love for you is an inferno, incinerating me, burning me from the inside out, and I love every damn second of it. Ignite me. Torch me. Burn me over and over until I die and I will die a very satisfied, scorching death.”

Those words were, in secret, about Leo, and I had never felt them as acutely as I felt them right then when Leo filled me with his heat.

I was on fire. Incinerating, burning so deeply and intensely that my skin sizzled where his skin touched mine and where we were conjoined. I was melting like hot, eruptive lava. I was a human torch, enkindled, conflagrant, and incandescent, and the blazing kiss that singed my mouth sealed the red heat inside of me forever.

  Chapter Sixteen

“Is this real?” Leo asked in a whisper.

Our naked bodies were pressed together, my leg threaded between his legs, and my head resting on one of the arms that were wrapped around me like a blanket, making me feel warm and secure.

“Is what real?” I asked, running my fingers over the stubble that had appeared on his face over the past couple of days.

“This. Us, and what we just did.” He couldn’t stop himself from smiling, big and happy, but his eyes questioned the validity of it all. “I loved you for so long, and I wanted you for so long—to hold my hand, in my arms, in my life, at my side, and especially like this, just like this…” He gave me a lingering kiss on my forehead. “I can’t believe we’re here.”

It wasn’t just that he couldn’t believe that we had sex or that we were in Disney World together. He couldn’t believe that I finally gave in to my feelings for him. He couldn’t believe that I told him I loved him. He couldn’t believe that I was in his arms and that we had a future ahead of us, just us! I couldn’t believe it, either.

“It’s really happening, huh?” I asked.

“If this is a dream, I’m going to be super pissed when I wake up,” he said. “I don’t care where I’m at or who I’m with or what’s going on. If I wake up and you’re not really here and this didn’t actually happen, I will move the entire earth to make it happen.”

“You’re not dreaming,” I promised. To prove it, I pulled his head down to mine and kissed him deeply. “See?” I said when I pulled away
.

Leo grinned as his thumb traced over my bottom lip. “You might have to show me once more.”

We kissed again, slow and lazy. I loved his lips. His tongue. And all of the things his tongue could do to me.

“I was thinking,” Leo said a little while later after we had finally pulled our lips apart.

  “Dangerous,” I muttered.

He gave me a light pinch on the ass that made me giggle. I giggled. Like a teenage girl. That made sense, since Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” had been spinning in my head all night.

“What were you thinking?” I asked.

“I don’t want to take you away from your friends, and even your family, but I can’t move because of the business, and I’m starting a new business venture that I’ll tell you about in a little bit. So, I was thinking of alternating months, you come to Miami for a month and the next month I’ll go to New Jersey or wherever you are for work. But I don’t think I can stay away for a whole month, not now anyway. There’s too much happening. I can stay away for a couple of weeks, but that’s a lot of flying back and forth. I am trying to work it out in my mind, because there’s no way that I am going to be without you, Tabitha. No more than a few days at a time at most.”

It was true, I didn’t want to move away, not yet. We were still way too new to think about that, but I…I didn’t want to be without him, either. We had been without each other for far too long already. But my schedule and his schedule did make it difficult. After I left Miami, I was going to spend two weeks at home with my friends and checking in on my family before I headed off on a book tour, hitting up New York, Chicago, San Francisco, London, and Sydney and other smaller cities. In addition, I had smaller projects happening between some of those cities. It wasn’t going to be easy to just hop on a plane for either of us, but we had to make it work. I wanted it to work.

We discussed the various points in our schedules when we could get together until we had a pretty solid plan. Most of our meetings would be in Miami, though, because unlike Leo, for the most part, my work was virtually transportable.

“Now, tell me about your new business venture,” I said to him, feeling even lighter than I did before we hammered out our plans.

“I want to open up another restaurant, well, a bar really, on the bay.”

  “A bar?”

“Yes,” he said looking at me with some excitement. “I want it right on the bay. People can drive to it, but I think I really like the idea of patrons arriving by boat. I can have slips, but to avoid confusion and unnecessary traffic, they would have to be reserved ahead of time, and I guess it would make sense for them to pay a small fee. I want indoor and outdoor seating, with a second bar outside, and I want the outdoor seating to be comfortable, like couches and big comfortable chairs. Some of it can be covered, some uncovered for those who love the sun.”

He leaned forward, his face lit up with inspiration and it made me smile.

“The boaters can take their drinks and food back to their boats and have their own little party there.”

“Maybe you can have wait staff deliver the food and drinks. It may be wise to charge a larger fee for the slips, though. You don’t want people taking up valuable space and maybe not even really drinking your drinks and eating your food.”

“Right.” He nodded. “You’re absolutely right.”

“And there will have to be a lot of safety guidelines in place, to keep everyone safe on and near the water. Anyone who makes a reservation for a slip would have to sign for it.”

“Good thinking, baby,” Leo said, smiling brightly. “You really like the idea?”

“I love it.” I smiled. “I wish I could have worked somewhere like that when I was a waitress. Are there any open locations for this?”

“Yeah, there is actually. You were working the other day when I came home and I didn’t want to disturb you. You didn’t even know I was there I think. I left again and went to check out a couple of spots that a corporate real estate buddy of mine told me about.”

“I knew you were there, and I knew you left again,” I said. “I always know when you’re there.”

Leo’s smile was so full of love that I thought it would completely undo me.

We talked about his new business plan for a long time, sharing ideas from everything like the décor to the menu. After a while, it stopped feeling like just Leo’s future, but mine, too. Leo included me in every detail, saying we or us instead of I or me. We were in the beginning stages, but we were planning the life we wanted to have together. The life we should have had together all along, but I quickly pushed away the should haves and could haves, because those things didn’t matter anymore. What mattered most was that I was with the man I loved, finally, and he loved me. He had always loved me more than I could ever have guessed. There would be consequences for us, because I had no doubt that Leo still cared for and loved Leslie as much as I did, but I didn’t…I couldn’t think about the consequences. For the first time in my life, I felt pure happiness. For the first time in my life, I felt right, like my life finally had meaning and solidity.

“What are you thinking about?” Leo murmured after a long silence fell between us.

  “You,” I said. “Us.”

“We’re an us now.” I couldn’t see his face since my head was tucked comfortably under his chin, but I could feel his smile.

  “We’re an us,” I confirmed.

“Do you think we would be here now if you didn’t know about what I’d done for you?”

I answered him as honestly as I could. “I don’t know, but probably eventually. You were wearing me down, Pesciano. We would have either come to this conclusion or I would have run away.”

His body stiffened, and his words came out a little hard around the edges. “Don’t ever run away from me, Tabitha. No matter what. Please.” The last word sounded almost like a plea, and for several long seconds, I felt a rush of panic, but I didn’t know why. Again, I had the feeling that there was something more to his words, something I couldn’t see, but again, he distracted me.

Leo pulled back, tilted my head up, and kissed me. It was soft and maybe a little desperate.

“Promise me,” he said, his voice hoarse but firm. His hand cupped my face as he peered down at me. “Promise to always give me the opportunity to fix us before you run away.”

Alarmed, I pulled out of his grasp and sat up. Leo followed suit and sat up beside me.

  “You’re scaring me,” I admitted.

Leo sighed. “I’m not trying to be scary. I just…Tabitha, in the past, it was always easier for you to walk away or push me away instead of talking about how we felt or trying to be together. Just…don’t do that again, okay? You’ve conditioned me to be nervous about that sort of thing.”

It was about Leslie. He was worried that once Leslie found out, I’d run, or push him away, or maybe he was afraid that Leslie would never even hear about it because I’d run or push him away before we even really got started. I couldn’t blame him for feeling that way. I had been doing it for almost fifteen years.

“I promise,” I whispered to him.

“I promise, too,” Leo said, cupping my neck and pulling me toward him so he could kiss my forehead.

I scooted back on the bed until my back was against the headboard as Leo got up and went to the bathroom. I checked out his perfect ass as he walked away, and he knew it.

“I feel so demoralized with you checking out my ass like that,” he called over his shoulder before disappearing out view.

“I feel demoralized listening to you pee,” I answered in return. “I’m hungry. I didn’t eat much of my dinner.”

I heard the toilet flush and the sink turn on. Seconds later, Leo reappeared.

“Oh?” he asked, trying to look innocent. “Why not?”

  “I was distracted.”

“By whom?” he asked, sitting on the bed, facing me.

“By you,” I said, rolling my eyes.

  “And
what am I to you?” He leaned in closer to me.

“Nobody, as you always have been.” I snorted.

He narrowed his eyes and slowly got to his feet. I didn’t trust him, not even a little bit as he moved to the foot of the bed. I watched him with apprehension and he watched me like a predator. Suddenly, the sheet I was holding up to my body was torn away. I opened my mouth to curse, but shrieked as he yanked on my legs, forcing me on my back. A second later, he was on top of me, pinning my arms above my head, his face hovering close to mine.

“Now, let’s try that again,” Leo said quietly. “Who am I to you?”

“You don’t know your own name?” I questioned incredulously.

He pressed his hips into mine and his erection pressed against my sex. I moaned softly.

“Who am I to you?” he asked again.

  “My friend?” I tried.

He shook his head. “You missed a word.”

  “My girlfriend?”

He rocked against me, making me moan again. My nipples began to pebble against his chest. I tried to push my hips off of the bed to add friction to my clit, but he had me pinned and I couldn’t, and he knew it.

“Tell me who I am to you already so I can fulfill my promise.”

  I blinked. “Your promise?”

“I promised to make you come again and again until you were too weak to move.”

“So make me come,” I invited in a sultry voice.

Leo groaned but didn’t take the bait.

“Tell me,” he said in a whisper.

I gazed up at him, my fingers curling over his on the mattress. “My boyfriend,” I said softly, testing the word out in my tongue. “You’re my boyfriend. My love. My life.”

My words had the desired effect and more. Leo crushed my mouth with his and grinded his cock against me. He lifted me enough to set my legs free and I promptly wrapped them around his body. He grinded into me again, this time with direct contact on my clit and sliding through my moist center.

“I want to be inside of you with nothing between us,” Leo growled as he tugged on my bottom lip with his teeth.
