“You okay?” Lynne asked as she reached out and rubbed Sarah’s arm gently.

Ava was in Lynne’s arms and also reached and rubbed on Sarah’s arm.

“Yeah I’m fine,” Sarah said quietly as she gave Ava a wink. “I just got a little worked up.”

“Totally understand. I’ve been wanting to do that all morning,” Lynne said with smile.

It was like an alien insect buzzing around them. They weren’t quite sure what to make of it, and twenty-four hours ago it would have not even caused the flutter of an eyelash, but the sound of a cell phone snapped everyone out of their daze.

  CHAPTER 84: CALL YOUR MOTHER

Jill could feel everyone’s eyes on her, but she didn’t know why they were looking at her. It was like they knew her secrets, and she didn’t like that at all. She hadn’t picked up anyone’s names. She had definitely heard them discussing it but it really wasn’t important at the time.

“You going to answer that?” the creep said.

The void that she had checked into had no clear sounds, just distant rumbles, but she could still feel their eyes on her. She turned around so she wasn’t facing the group anymore. She was sure she was having an out-of-body experience. The last hour felt like a dream. It was like everything that had happened had happened to someone else.

“What the fuck is wrong with you?” the black guy said as he touched her on the shoulder.

Jill felt his hand and turned away from him, taking some uncertain steps towards the edge of the building.

“Hey!” the Uber driver said. “Leave her alone!”

“Answer your phone, bitch,” the black guy said as he walked away.

Jill was starting to understand what they were saying as more sounds seeped into the void. It was like there was a bit of normality happening to her, something that was tangible in all the nonsense that was surrounding her. The familiar music that was taking over the void was something that she could really grab on to. It was like she had just swallowed two milligrams of Xanax. Calmness washed over her as she nonchalantly opened her handbag and pulled out her cell phone and put it to her ear like it was just another ordinary day.

“‘Bout fucking time,” the black guy said.

She didn’t give a shit what he thought or what anyone else thought. She was on the phone. They all wished they were her. They had no fucking idea how good her life was, and that she was about to do things that they couldn’t even dream of.

“Hi mom!” Jill said as she curled her lip at the group.

“Hello, Jill!” Jill’s mom said sweetly. “I got you on speaker. Your father and Melody are here, too.”

“Hello Jilly!” Jill’s dad sang. “You doing okay, princess?”

“Hi daddy!” Jill replied. “I’m fine, just waiting for you guys to pick me up!”

They all wished they had cool parents like her, Jill thought. Fucking losers.

“Jill, we are on our way to Palm Springs,” Jill’s mom said. “We’re going to your uncle Paul’s house.”

“What?!” Jill screamed. “What about me? Come get me! You forgot about me!”

“It's far too dangerous, dear,” Jill’s mom said calmly, as if she had just told Jill she would be late home from work. “We saw there was a problem on the news this morning, and we decided to get out before it was too late. I tried to call you.”

Jill knew she should have returned her mom’s call earlier but it had seemed like a dumb idea at the time. She couldn’t believe her own mother hadn’t even followed up with a text message stating what she wanted, like a fucking normal person. She didn’t even try to call back till it was too late.

“You’re going to leave your daughter all alone?” Jill said. “There are people trying to get me. I'm fucking stuck here, mom!”

“Language, Jillian!” Jill’s mom said in a stern tone. “Now come on, you're an adult. You really have to start taking care of yourself.”

“What?” Jill said through her teeth.

“You do this all the time,” Jill’s mom said. “You set a bad example for your sister, time and time again.”

“Yeah, stupid bitch!” came Melody’s muffled voice.

  “Melody!” Jill’s dad interjected.

“You are insane!” Jill screeched. “You picked this time to teach me a lesson!?”

  “Jillian...” Jill’s mom said sternly.

“I’m going to die here, mom! You fucking know that right?” Jill screamed. “Daddy! Please come get me!”

“You heard your mother, Jilly!” Jill’s dad said. “You’re a big girl now. Come to your uncle’s, we’ll have cocktails by the pool.”

All hope was lost. Jill’s dad was the push over in the parental dynamic and even he had given up on her. Maybe fucking his friends had finally worn him down, she thought.

“Looks like we’re moving again,” Jill’s dad said.

“Be safe, baby,” Jill’s mom said sweetly. “We’ve left the key under the mat at home, you can always just go there! love you!”

  “Mom!” Jill pleaded.

  “Bye, bitch!” Melody sung.

Once again, Jill could feel all the eyes on the rooftop looking directly at her, and she was embarrassed more than she had ever been in her life. When she had seen it was her parents calling, she had expected them to come and fix all her troubles, just like they had done a million times before, but this time, in her darkest hour, they had ignored her and they had cast her out into the wilderness. The enormity of the situation had finally set in for Jill. She didn’t have any options anymore, and this right now was the hand she had to deal with.

“Oh my God,” Jill whispered to herself. “I’m alone. No one wants me anymore.”

To be fair, Jill said this to herself every day. It was her little mantra that kept her grounded and had the added bonus of being proven wrong on a daily basis, but today it looked like it was going to be proven right. She put her phone back in her purse as the world closed in on her. She frantically looked for a way out, but the buildings and the sky and the ground were closing in on her. Everything that was bright was now black and every breath she took didn’t catch.

Jill had had a pleasant stay in the void. Room service wasn’t great, but the drinks in the lobby bar were pretty good, and she had met a businessman who had paid for everything. Against her better judgment, she had even fucked him back in his hotel room, but she had gotten the last laugh as per usual and stolen his watch as she snuck out in the early morning hours. She didn’t even sleep in her bed. It remained perfectly made, but now it was time to check out, and Jill did just that.

  CHAPTER 85: FOREVER CREEPY ONE

Ryan watched eagerly as Jill pulled the phone from her ear. He was like a carrion bird; he could see an injured animal from a mile away. She began moving erratically, walking in circles that got smaller and smaller until she was practically spinning in the same spot. Ryan smiled a little as she began falling, and for some weird reason he didn’t want to fuck. He wanted to feast. There was a flash past him, and he knew, of course, miss goody two shoes, Sarah, was going to catch Jill before her head could hit the ground. He was hoping that would happen. Ryan was always down for a two-fer.

Ryan slowly walked over to them. He checked over his shoulder to make sure the big guy wasn’t going to get involved as well. He was the only one he was concerned about. Thankfully, it seemed safe to continue on to glory, as he hadn’t noticed or cared about the commotion as he checked his handy-work at the barricade.

“She okay?” Lynne asked while rocking Ava back and forth.

“Yeah I think so,” Sarah said as she wiped Jill’s forehead. “She just had a panic attack by the look of it.”

They hadn’t noticed him arrive, and he slipped in between Sarah and Jill, taking control of Jill’s lifeless body like it was his wife or someone he hadn’t just met.

“We need to sit her up,” Ryan said as he reached around her middle.

“What are you doing?” Sarah said in protest. “Just leave her be.”

Ryan wedged himself further between Sarah and Jill. His elbow grazed Sarah’s firm natural tits, and he felt his cock fill with warmth. She retreated from his elbow, which added more excitement to his adventure and allowed him to slot himself nicely between the two of them, so no one could see what he was doing.

“I’m trying to help her, damn it!” Ryan said over his shoulder as he slyly touched Jill’s breasts. “I’ve seen this before.”

Ryan bit his lip as he mauled Jill and worked his way into the side of her dress and began stretching his fingers, reaching for her nipple. Her tits were like perfect balls of marshmallow, and Ryan’s cock got instantly hard. It might just have been the most perfect set of tits he had ever felt, and he had felt a lot of perfect tits. He imagined not kissing them or sucking them but biting into their juicy flesh and pulled Jill further up so he could rub his erection against her. Jill wriggled a little, and her eyes began to flutter, and Ryan knew his fun was over.

“See!” Ryan said, retracting his hand and placing it back onto her stomach. “She’s coming around.”

Jill suddenly sat up on her own and brushed Ryan’s hands away from her.

“Oh good, you're back with us,” Ryan said, distancing himself from Jill. “You had us worried there for a minute.”

Ryan stood awkwardly, trying to hide his hard on which was clearly visible in his pants, but with his back to everyone he was able to push it to the side and cover it with his suit jacket as he turned back to the group.

“You’re welcome, hon,” Ryan sneered as he turned and flashed a devilish grin.

Jill’s eyes became slits as she looked at him with disgust. Sarah came closer to her and rubbed her shoulders, making sure she really was okay. He saw Jill shrug Sarah off too. It had all worked out perfectly. His first expedition into the women’s territory had been a success, but there was still virgin land he needed to make a truce with. The threat from the big guy was real. If he wanted to get any further play, he was going to have to parlay with the big man on campus.

“Can I have a word with you?” Ryan said, not even skipping a beat between being a sex offender and a random question asker.

“What the fuck do you want?” the big guy said moving the paint cans, trying to find a better way to stack them.

Ryan got close to the big guy’s shoulder so both their backs were to the women. The big guy turned his head to look at Ryan. He didn’t say anything. He just stared at him. Ryan wasn’t sure what was happening but his intuition was telling him to not be so close, so he took a step back, and the big guy gave him a single nod, which Ryan took as a cue to begin.

“I just wanted to introduce myself,” Ryan said in his best businessman voice. “My name is Ryan, Ryan Pinkerton.”

“Okay,” the big guy said with a shrug of his shoulders. “What do you want?”

“Well, you’re clearly the leader of this group,” Ryan whispered. “I just wanted to make sure I was on the same page as you.”

“Same page?” the big guy grunted. “Man, what the fuck you talking about?”

“I just wanted to let you know, I got your back,” Ryan said nonchalantly.

“The only thing that’s got my back is my gun,” the big guy said as he pointed to the gun held in the waistband at the back of his pants.

“Right on,” Ryan said, nodding his head, trying to make it seem like they were having a two-way conversation. “Hey, how many bullets you got left in there?”

“Enough,” the big guy said, getting back to his task.

“Enough to save everyone here?” Ryan asked slyly. “Or just yourself?”

The big guy laughed, ignoring Ryan’s questions.

“Look, don't get me wrong, but don't you think getting help is the best way to save these people?” Ryan said, trying to lead the big guy down a path of his choice.

Ryan’s path of choice was for the big guy to leave and go get help, leaving him to be lord and king of the rooftop.

“Look asshole,” the big guy said loudly. “Just come out and say it. This ain't the time for games. I don’t give a fuck if you people live or die. I already saved your asses back there. So, you fuckers better be praying to me as your god as far as I’m concerned.”

Ryan was surprised by the big guy’s outburst, but it played well into his hands. He knew he was public enemy number one, so it wasn’t bad that a new contender had just stepped up. He liked the lack of eyes on him. He liked a new person for the women to despise.

“You hear that? My name is Daryl, and it’s up to me whether you live or die,” Daryl said, beating on his chest. “So, don’t fucking annoy me and don’t fucking talk to me!”

All the women looked away from him at the same time, and Ryan hid a large smile behind his arm.

“I completely agree, you’re the man, and you know what?” Ryan said, trying as hard as possible to sound believable. “I totally forgot to thank you for before, and I’m so sorry. You kicked some serious ass back there.”

Daryl looked Ryan up and down, trying to establish whether Ryan was being serious or not.

“You’re God damn fucking right I did,” Daryl said with pride.

Sensing a reprieve in Daryl’s animosity, Ryan moved closer to him, and again Daryl shot him a look that made Ryan raise his hands in surrender, but he still moved forward.

“Don’t test me mother fucker,” Daryl said, tapping the handgun in his waistband with his thumb.

“I’m cool man, I’m cool,” Ryan said inching closer. “I just wanted to talk to you, man to man.”

“Man to man, huh?” Daryl said with a smirk and pointed to Sarah. “That girl over there was the only one who stepped up to help me in that zoo you led us into.”

“Point taken, point taken,” Ryan said, bowing his head. “You’ve watched movies though, right? You know how this is going to end up. All these people are only going to weigh us down.”

“Us? There ain’t no fucking ‘us’ man,” Daryl said, stepping forward, imposing his superior height over Ryan. “There is me and that’s it! Besides, you don't even have a gun.”

“I got this.” Ryan said conspiratorially.

Ryan revealed his small pistol, still secured in his jacket pocket.

“Oh, you're an outlaw now?” Daryl said with a big grin. “Where the fuck was this outlaw when I was battling the fucking undead on the other side of that door?”

Defeated by Daryl’s truth, Ryan looked away from his judging glare. He knew he shouldn’t have revealed his gun. It was a stupid mistake that gave away some of the power he had just accrued.

“Look, do me a favor,” Daryl said calmly. “Go over there and sit the fuck down. We are going to wait this out.”

“These people are going to get us killed!” Ryan whispered.

“Hey!” Daryl said raising his voice. “Shut the fuck up! No one is going through this door, unless I say so.”

Ryan started walking over to the edge of the building before Daryl had even finished his sentence. He sat down against the concrete railing and stared at Daryl, absent-mindedly scratching his groin.

  CHAPTER 86: JOYRIDE

Ever since the alarm had sounded, Joy could not get rid of Roger. He had tried to hold her hand on multiple occasions, but she was having none of it. He was like one of those parasitic fish that stuck to a shark like glue, living off any leftovers the apex predator might leave in its wake. After meeting at the emergency rallying point, they had crammed into a minibus with the other employees of the television station. Normally it seated twelve comfortably, but, with the situation as dire as it was now, it seated seventeen.

Joy saw her chance to finally be free of him by squeezing into the back corner of the bus next to Denise the makeup artist, but Roger didn’t let her go, awkwardly slotting himself in between both of them. She had no hard feelings for Denise. She could sense she had a thing for Roger and her betrayal was just a ploy to curry his favor. Truth be told she had once had a thing for the creep herself and had almos
t had his dick in her mouth twenty minutes earlier.

As the cramped minibus made its way through the twists and turns of the underground parking lot, Joy pondered if all Roger really wanted was to show her he had power over her. Joy respected that. She had on more than one occasion masturbated thoroughly to the feeling of power she had felt at the time. She had never taken a young intern into her office and forced him under the desk, but she could see the thrill of it. Although, when Joy did something, there was no half-assing it. If she was going to go that route, she would opt for the full sexual situation, not just a little bit of oral pleasure. The bottom line was simple, if she was going to be sued or fired for sexual harassment, she might as well go the distance, the full ass.

Joy was trapped against the window, and Roger kept leaning his weight into her as the minibus sped around the spiral parking lot. With one jarring break of the tires, he slipped his arm around her and got a slight cup of her right tit with his hand. Joy looked at him as he found another opportunity to get a handful, and she examined his face, his mouth was back to twisting in pleasure, not a care in the world. She could see he wanted that blowjob and was not going to let her forget it, even in the middle of the zombie apocalypse.

There were some gasps from the other passengers who were seated towards the front. The minibus started to jerk around more and more as the undead started to get in the way of the speeding vehicle. Blood spatters were beginning to paint the windows, and Joy had stopped looking up after seeing the gruesome carnage that was being painted on the window. She quivered when she imagined what was waiting for them outside, which made Roger tighten his grip on her, and with her face pointed down she could see the bulge in Roger’s crotch stiffen. Seeing his cock extend to its full length beneath his pants made something move in her. She started to feel warm, and her pussy started to involuntarily lubricate. She wasn’t sure if this was her body reacting to the situation, trying to take her mind off things, or if she actually was getting turned on. Whatever it was, it was working. The sense of dread was slipping away and thoughts of pulling her skirt up so she could throw her leg over Roger and take him there and then filled her mind. She looked up into Roger’s eyes, their faces less than a couple inches from each other. Despite his studio makeup, she could see his cheeks getting rosy, and his eyes darted away from hers like a nervous schoolboy. Joy grinned. She had taken his power, for the moment anyway.
