His True Love

Page 3

by Khardine Gray

“I can’t, I won’t last if you touch me like that, and I’ve waited weeks to be inside you.” He stopped me by placing his large hands over mine.

“Why did you wait weeks?” I was really interested to know.

He lowered and kissed the top of my forehead. “I wanted you to trust me first. I needed you to play the game your way. Dance with me first, then this. Now you won’t feel like you didn’t know me.”

My heart stilled and I didn’t know what to say.

The look he gave me now had an animalistic hunger to it that lit up every single part of me, burning me with the need I witnessed in his stare.

Had anyone ever looked at me like that?

  No...

Never. And trust... it never occurred to me that he got me to do that and trust was a thing that usually took me a while to develop.

He stepped back and pushed his boxers down his legs, unleashing the full length of his massive cock. I looked at it, desperately needing him to be deep inside me. The thought actually made me hungry.

Hungry for him, I allowed my gaze to travel from his impressive erection and down those legs.

More tattoos grabbed my attention. Many more tattoos, all of dragons. Dragons of different types that I’d seen before, and ones I hadn’t. All done in that inky black that looked stark against his perfectly tanned skin.

He spread his arms to either side and smiled down at me.

  “Like what you see Goddess?”

  “Oh yes.” Most definitely yes.

He moved back to the bed and back to my lips. Clutching me with his grasp and holding me against him as he moved up the bed with me. Resting me against the stack of silky pillows he took a moment to suckle on my nipples again and kissed his way back down to my aching core. Parting my legs he lowered again and sheathed his tongue in me. His tongue, then his fingers which he slid inside and out so he could watch me as I grew wet again. Then reaching over to the nightstand he grabbed a condom from a box in the drawer.

I got that mouthwatering sensation again when I watched Eric sheath himself, rolling the condom down his length.

I pulled in a breath as he rolled my panties down my legs. With that possessive need he then took hold of my waist with one hand and guided his cock to my entrance with the other.

Teasing my folds open he pushed his heavy erection in, not quite entering yet, just teasing me, but driving me wild. God, he was driving me beyond wild.

When he did thrust in, his cock pierced into me making me moan and gasp. Pushing deeper and deeper his hugeness stretched me making my passage quake and tremble.

I moaned at the half pain, half pleasure sensation.

“Stay with me you’ll soon feel better,” he soothed, tightening his grip on my hips.

He inched his length into me until I’d adjusted to fit him and he filled me up completely. And... damn he was right I didn’t just feel better, I felt amazing. He began to move inside me, slow then fast, and faster until he was pounding into me and we’d both gotten lost in the rhythm of his thrusts.

As the thrusts became relentless with his shaft slicking in and out, the pleasure racked my body and delicious friction penetrated every fiber of my being. My body shuddered from the raw heat and pleasure. Pure, pure, pleasure and that thing that drew me to him. Suddenly I could feel him all over me, not just inside my core, but all over me. As in everything that made me, me. Inside my mind, inside my awareness, inside my consciousness. He was everywhere and I could tell he felt it too.

Tension coiled inside me, wild like a raging fire that destroyed everything in its path. When the tension released in a white hot wave I screamed. Screamed loud and allowed the feeling to possess me.

The purely erotic sounds that spilled from my mouth left me trying to catch my breath, while he was smiling.

  “Good girl.”

  “Eric ... I nuhhhh...” I couldn’t even talk.

“Just enjoy me Goddess, enjoy me.”

I tried to smile and show him I was enjoying every single second of being with him but the erotic flames of pleasure that raced across my body were too much.

He waited until my breathing stilled before he flipped me over and set me on my hands and knees. I was sure he was finished too but it looked like he wasn’t done with me yet.

As I looked up I noticed for the first time the floor to ceiling mirror that ran along the wall to our right. It captured the seriously erotic image of us together.

Me with my hair falling forward and my massive breasts bobbling below me, then bouncing as he plunged into me from behind and started fucking me. In this position he felt too good. It was overkill for both of us. His reflection showed the pleasure in his face as he started rutting into me like an animal, ramming into me harder and harder. Rocking my body into oblivion. Hunger matched hunger and the sounds of our bodies slapping together filled the room.

Greed must have taken over my mind because I wanted more and he gave me more, crippling my body with the pleasure he gave me. Intense, insane, insatiable.

The climax that took me took him too. I could feel it. The pleasure tore me in two and I cried out again. So did he as the liquid fire singed my veins in a scorching wave, scorching me clean. Feeling weak my arms gave out and I collapsed down onto the bed.

He did the same, but pulled out and guided me to his chest.

“Are you okay?” His hot breath caressed my skin.

“I’m okay.” I breathed turning to face him.

He cupped my face again and kissed me, this kiss sweeter than the previous. Sweeter than the wild, possessiveness he showed only seconds ago.

  “Did you enjoy me goddess?”

I couldn’t help the little laugh. “Of course I did.”

I lifted myself up onto my elbows and stared at him. He reached up and touched my face again. “Tonight’s for you.”

  “Me? What about you?”

“Tomorrow is for me.” He eased himself up too.

“Tomorrow?” He want to see me again tomorrow?

“Tomorrow, no more dancing by yourself.”

The same way I left the problems outside the door when I came inside, I was certain reality would come back for me the minute I left this house. I hated the thought. Hated it so much.

“What about the rest of tonight?”

“You tell me what you want.”

“You.” I did. I wanted him.

He got up and I laughed when he picked me up too and heaved me over his shoulder.

  “Eric, where are we going?”

“We’ll start in the jacuzzi, then make our way across to the other wing of the house.”

I laughed when he spun me around, grabbed the box of condoms from the drawer and made his way out of the room.

I could honestly say that when I woke up this morning there was no way I thought my day was going to end up like this.

  With me happy.

  ***

  All night...

We indulged on each other all night. After the fifth time Eric took me, I lost count. I honestly did, and I could honestly say that I’d never had sex like this before, and not this many times in one night.

It wiped us both out and damn it I was so drained out that when I woke the next morning I didn’t know what day it was, or when it was.

  Or where.

It took me a minute for that brain fog to clear and for me to see straight. When I did I recalled everything in perfect clarity.

Eric’s arm was around me, holding me close to his chest, close to his heart.

Close to his heart... it was a nice thought.

  But... one I wouldn’t entertain.

Last night was last night and today was another day, one I had to face and I was certain I was going to be late for work.

I slid out of the gorgeous man’s arms, careful not to wake him. Unable to help myself, I stared at his powerful body stretched out against the sheet. How I would have loved to stay, but men like him didn’t invite you for sex and expect you t
o stick around until they woke up.

Not that I knew. It wasn’t something I needed to be told though. It was common sense. We didn’t know each other, and if he really knew me he wouldn’t want me. Just like everyone else.

It was fine. I was used to it now, and now I just needed to get back on that path where I was trying to be enough for me.

I gathered my clothes and put them on quickly, then made my way downstairs. I grabbed my little purse I couldn’t remember dropping from the floor and got my phone to call a taxi.

As soon as I got off the phone a message came through from the bank telling me that the payment for my fashion magazine subscription had declined.

  Fucking Stephan. Such an asshole.

He’d gone and cancelled that too. I’d been with him for so long that I didn’t know what accounts had what and whatever. This was my reality, and in this reality I was broke. Broke until I got my next meagre salary. Being a social worker was great but the pay for an entry level social worker with no experience sucked.

It was fine if she had a mega rich boyfriend but –

  What was that?

Something shimmered in the corner near the shelves, catching my attention. It shimmered like light. Sparkling light. I moved to where I’d seen it but found nothing there. Nothing at all.

I looked over the area, from the books on the shelf to the beautiful clay vase on the table next to it.

My eyes and mind must have been playing tricks on me. Must have for sure. I smiled to myself when I saw a copy of War and Peace on the shelf amongst a host of other classic books.

Eric liked reading. I’d never read War and Peace but it was on my to do list.

I glanced back upstairs, thinking about him pulled on my heart. It did.

Last night was great but that was all it could be. Last night.

In my fantasy I never imagined feeling this way. Liking him. Liking him a lot.

There was no point jumping from the frying pan and straight into the fire. Especially when I knew I was doing just that.

Temporary. I had to remember that. It was the keyword.

  On that thought I left.

  Chapter 4

  Eric

  ***

“Eric wake the hell up!” Blasted a voice that sounded far, far away.

Like it was calling to me from across a mountain.

I was trying my hardest to wake up but I couldn’t.

Too weak... and heavy. My body felt heavy like lead.

A blast of heat hit my skin and consumed me. My eyes snapped open and took in the electric blue flames all around me, bright blue like the sky.

At the foot of the bed stood Jupiter, Jupe for short, my best friend. My best friend a Shaqeui Demon in full demon form with his hair and skin white, eyes blood red and blue fire blazing from his hands.

“Fucking hell!” I cried launching a fireball straight at him.

It hit him and knocked him back, straight to the ground.

I gasped in horror. I killed him. I actually killed him. I didn’t mean to. I jumped up forgetting I was completely naked and rushed over to him only to find he was okay and looked more grossed out at the sight of me than hurt.

“Clothes, man. By the guardians, get some damn clothes on.” Jupe covered his eyes and transformed back into his human form. Instead of the white scary messy hair, his hair turned black and his eyes brown. His face a color more suited to the living.

I grabbed the sheet and wrapped it around my waist.

  Then it hit me.

  Ariyah, where was she?”

“She’s gone,” Jupe said. Unlike dragon shifters, the Shaqeui had the ability to read minds.

  “When?” My heart sank

“An hour ago.” Jupe stood and frowned, straightening out his jeans and t-shirt.

I was completely dead to the world. “One whole hour?”

“Yes, very pretty girl. Anyway, we have big, big problems.” His eyes widened.

“What kind of problems?” I went around the corner to the wardrobe and grabbed some jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt. I had to find her.

Last night was... something else. It was something else but she left.

I couldn’t wait until later to see her at the club. That was the easy way out. As far as I knew I didn’t have anything important to do today so I could work from home.

“Eric, you’re asking me a question and planning to do something else.”

I whirled around to face him. “Stop it, stop reading my mind. I hate when you do that.”

“Okay, fine. Forgive me for being a friend and checking things out properly. Something is wrong with you.”

I clenched my jaw. “What do you mean?”

“There was an Elk in the house.”

I narrowed my gaze at him. “What the hell do you mean?”

  “An Elk, Eric.”

I shook my head. “You don’t think I would have noticed a big old, extinct deer roaming around my house? What the fuck?” I pulled on a pair of boxers and dragged on the jeans.

Jupe opened his palms and sighed with complete frustration. “Yes, what the fuck Eric? Jesus. You’ve been here for far too long if you can say that to me. You’ve been here in the human realm for too long Prince Eric.”

I squared off with him and gave him a look that made him know his place instantly.

“Don’t call me that. Don’t ever call me that.” I hated it. I was no damn prince. Not that I hated the title. It was what happened that I hated.

It was an abomination to me. I wished I could have been like Caleb. We weren’t identical but twins normally shared some similarities. Identical or not. We came from the same womb but damn we weren’t anything alike. Sometimes when I thought back to the thing that drove me away from a home I’d spent the first hundred and sixty years of my life in, I wished I could be like him. He’d loved it, while I thought it was pure evil.

“I’m not wrong though. Eric there was an Elk in the house. Elk-e-n. Elken as in creepy, weasel faced, spies from the underworld who’ll work for whoever can fill their pockets the deepest.”

A cold rush of fear washed over my body. “What?”

It couldn’t be. I hadn’t seen one of those in... it was a long time and I was still in my teens when I saw one. I was three hundred and sixty years old now.

Jupe grimaced. “This is what I mean about problems. But Eric it was here and you had no powers.”

That was even more worrying, and made no sense. “What do you mean I had no powers? I just shot you with a fireball.”

“You did, but when it was here you could have been like one of them. Human. I had to blast you with blue lightning to wake you up. I was on my way over for something else then I sensed the Elken. I came as fast as I could. I knew the woman left because her aura was still here, but the Elken was here too. It left when I came in. The magical wards protecting the house were all down too. There was nothing Eric. In that state it could have come up here and killed you.”

What the hell was he saying to me? “It must have done something to me. breached the wards and ... did something to me.”

“Something with that low level magic can’t just breach the wards like that. It was you who let the guard down. Maybe it followed you. Maybe it’s been following you, but you let it in. Anything could have come inside the house.”

Oh fuck. I ran my hand through my hair and took a moment to think.

Jupe was normally right about these things so I had no reason to doubt him. Or, question him.

A curious and mischievous smile inched across his face and he chuckled. “Too much sex, or maybe it was that good.”

I frowned, but... he kind of wasn’t wrong. Something dawned on me. Something from last night.

There was a moment when I was with Ariyah when something happened to me. Something that never happened with any woman. I didn’t know what it was but it felt good. I just chalked it up to her. Her being her.

According to what Jupe was telling me I thought
now that it was me, and now Jupe was looking at me with worried, then frightened eyes.

“Oh my God, you mated with her. Didn’t you? Eric I know you have this fascination with human woman but there are consequences to these things and she’s not even here now.”

“Jupe shut up. I didn’t mate with her and that whole issue is not up for discussion.” He knew my choice.

I wasn’t going back to Pandir. Not for anything and while there were dragon shifters around that came and went from Pandir or the other realms where they lived I wasn’t looking to be soul mates with a dragon woman.

I wanted my mate whenever, I chose one to be human. End of story. Dragon shifters were half human. It was law to mate with our own kind because it kept the dragon essence and dragon bloodline strong. We were guardians, warriors. It was what we did.

I just chose not to do that anymore.

“You did something, or something happened to you. Are you sure the woman was human?”

“She was. It was me. Somehow I... tuned out my dragon essence when I was with her. Being with her stopped it. It took my magic with it.”

“Fucking hell Eric, you know how dangerous that could have been. And if I’m not mistaken isn’t that how you would mate with a human?”

“I didn’t mate with her.” I gave him a hard stare and he eased off but grimaced.

  “But you nearly did.”

I moved away from him and walked over to the window.

He was damn right. I wasn’t careful. I wasn’t careful because my feelings for Ariyah took over and clouded my ability to do anything. That meant protecting myself and her. Anything could have happened to her.

“You said she left. Are you sure she left.” What if the Elken did something to her?” I’d never forgive myself. It could have taken her.

“She left Eric. I saw it, in my head. Her essence was here and when I touched the door I saw her leaving. She got a taxi.”

“What did she look like? I mean... was she upset?” What If she thought last night was a mistake?

What if I ruined it. I wasn’t this guy. A person who doubted anything. I was sure of what I knew. With her, apparently it was different.

“I’m not sure. I sensed confliction.” He narrowed his eyes at me and ran a hand through his hair. “Am I facilitating this, whatever it is by saying that she looked like she didn’t want to leave? And...I shouldn’t have said that should I?” he bit the inside of his lip.
