As the water cascaded over them, the shirt she was wearing did little to hide anything, including the way her nipples puckered as they rubbed against his chest. As Tag’s mouth ate at hers, the hungry desperation that only he made her feel, quickly consumed them.

McKenna tried to hang onto him when he went to put her back on her feet, and Tag broke the kiss as he grinned. “I promise this will be worth it.”

She knew it would, but she had no idea what he was going to do next. Lucky for her, he chose to rid them of the hindering garments before he moved around behind her, pushing her wet hair out of the way as he began suckling her neck, his hands fondling her breasts as she groaned.

Even though he was touching her, McKenna needed more. For the past two nights, they had come together as one, but each time, she felt as though Tag had been restraining that dark side of him that she had glimpsed before. He was sweet and gentle, yet he made her body come apart in the most exquisite ways possible. But standing here, feeling his teeth nipping at her shoulder, she knew he was unable to hold himself back much longer.

She tried to turn, but he pulled back, his hands holding her still. “Uh uh. Stay right where you are,” he insisted firmly, his hands holding her hips in place.

McKenna fought the urge to take over, to turn despite his insistence and drop to her knees where should could make him lose control the way he was attempting to make her. This was the part she had a hard time with. When she wanted something, she didn’t want to wait, especially when it came to this man.

As his lips trailed lower, McKenna tried to distract herself by focusing on the water as it sprayed down on her, but his mouth was making it hard to think of anything except the firm press of his lips to her skin.

When he reached her bottom, McKenna pushed back against his mouth, trying to urge him to hurry because the smoldering kindling in her belly was quickly raging into a full blown inferno. “Tag, touch me,” she pleaded.

“I am touching you,” he said as he nipped at her bottom.

  She groaned. “Quit teasing me.”

There was a time and place for everything, but this blazing lust was getting out of control and for the last two days, he had drawn out their lovemaking until she was nearly blind with it.

Right now, she just wanted to be fucked.

  Oh Lord. Have mercy!

Tag’s tongue stroked between her ass cheeks, and the rasp against the sensitive nerve endings nearly had her knees buckling. McKenna no longer had any way of distracting herself because the only thing she could focus on was the intensity of what he was doing.

“Don’t stop,” she moaned as she pushed back against him, shamelessly trying to get him closer.

The growl that tore from his chest pierced the humid air as he gripped her hips, forcefully pulling her back against him as he thrust his tongue inside of her in such a brutally intimate way. He was going to make her come with just his tongue...

When she thought the pleasure was too much, he proved her wrong by slowly penetrating her ass with one finger, gently fucking her before inserting a second. He continued, increasing the pace as she began pushing against him, needing more, needing him...

Tag couldn’t take much more, his dick was like iron, and he had been putting this off for far too long. Standing, he grabbed a bottle of lube he had placed in the shower that morning for just this purpose.

“Put your hands on the wall,” he told McKenna, unable to disguise the pure, unadulterated lust that had swallowed him whole.

Having managed to get McKenna to relinquish some of that damned need to control everything, Tag had been fighting this urge for longer than he cared to admit. As far as they had come thus far, he still had the urge to show her, to make her realize just how much he needed her complete submission.

With fumbling hands, he managed to lather his cock with lubrication before gripping her hip and aligning the engorged head against the tight entrance to her ass. He didn’t press into her though.

Leaning down so that his chest was against her back, his mouth close to her ear, he wrapped one arm around her stomach while guiding his cock slowly against her. “Tell me no, and I’ll stop.”

“Don’t stop,” she pleaded. “Fuck me, Tag. Take me right now.” McKenna’s voice was strained, sounding as though she were battling her own needs while wanting to succumb to his.

Pressing the head of his cock just inside the snug entrance, Tag placed his lips on her shoulder. “Tell me that you’re mine.”

“Yes,” McKenna groaned as she tried to push back against him.

“No, tell me. Say the words.” Tag knew they had broken through so many barriers they had both erected inadvertently during their brief relationship, but he still had yet to hear from her mouth what he needed to hear.

She said she loved him, and he believed her. He needed more than that. He continued to battle with his demons, and knowing just how much this one woman owned him, he still needed reassurance. He needed to know she felt the same.

  “You own me,” McKenna whispered.

Tag thrust into her hard, burying his cock deep in her ass. He stilled, holding himself back, resisting the urge to fuck her fast and dirty like he wanted. Nipping her shoulder, he held her body close to his as he slowly pulled back, then rammed home again. Over and over he did this as she continued to beg for more.

He refused to give in to her until she told him. And this time, he wanted to hear it because she wanted to say it, not because she wanted to make him happy.

“Do you feel me?” he asked the same question he had before. He wasn’t asking in the physical sense because when the two of them came together, it was so much more than physical.

“I feel you,” McKenna answered. “I need you, Tag. I will always need you.” Her face turned to the side where his head rested, and he turned so he could meet her lips with his own. “You own me. Mind, body, and soul. I’m yours, Tag. Always yours.”

  He lost it.

Tag moved his mouth back to her shoulder, his teeth gently biting the soft flesh as he began ramming into her, holding her still while she used the wall to push back against him. He growled like the animal he felt he was right then.

Taking her like this, his cock buried in her ass, controlling her and knowing deep in his soul that she felt exactly what he was feeling, that she was giving to him what he knew she would never give another man, – that hard won control – Tag let himself go.

“Fuck,” he groaned, biting her hard, but not hard enough to break the skin as his dick pulsed once, twice, before erupting inside of her.

When Tag finally returned to his body after that earth shattering climax, he gently pulled out of her, then turned McKenna in his arms. Looking down at her, he could still see the swirling need. She didn’t come, but he hadn’t expected her to.

Quickly, Tag took the soap from the shower ledge, washed himself fully and then her before turning off the water and leading her out. They were both dripping, and his cock was once again hard as he sensed her building desire. He didn’t even take the time to dry them as he urged her over to the bed.

Tag sat on the edge of the mattress before pulling her against him, pressing his mouth to hers and helping her to straddle him. With one arm wrapped around her back, Tag ensured she wouldn’t fall while he gripped her hair with his other hand, wrapping his fist in the thick, heavy strands.

“Fuck me, McKenna,” he told her as she began grinding her pussy against his throbbing cock. The more he thought about being inside of her, the harder he got, even after just having her.

McKenna didn’t hesitate when she gripped his cock in her hand, guiding him right where she wanted him. Her body consumed him as she slowly lowered until once again her ass was resting against his thighs.

“Fuck me, baby. I want to feel your tight pussy on my cock. I want to feel you, watch while you make yourself come.”

McKenna groaned, pressing her mouth to his as she began to lift and lower on his cock,
then alternating in a back and forth motion as she ground her clit against his pelvis. It was so fucking hot to hold her in his arms, to feel her as she rode him with only one thing in mind.

“Aw, fuck,” Tag didn’t expect to be driven so close to the edge so soon. Her muscles were tightening around his cock while she continued to move on him.

“Tag,” McKenna groaned his name, her eyes opening. “I need more.”

Tag stood instantly, gripping her ass and moving until he had her back against the wall. He crushed her body between his and the wall as he began slamming his cock deep inside of her cunt over and over, harder, faster until she was begging.

“Fuck,” he groaned as her pussy spasmed, her muscles milking him until he couldn’t hold on any longer.

“Tag!” McKenna screamed, her body stilling, her nails digging into his shoulders as she came, pulling him over right along with her.

  Chapter Thirty Nine

  *** ~~ *** ~~ *** ~~ ***

By the time Monday rolled around, McKenna was ready to get back into the swing of things. She and the rest of her staff had been instructed by a very insistent Tag to stay away from the Sensations offices until he told them otherwise. He graciously informed her Sunday night that they could all return to work on Monday.

When she first walked through the door, she nearly stumbled in her heels, wondering whether she had accidentally entered the wrong office. So much for just paint, she thought to herself.

Tag had obviously worked magic, and her entire office had been redone. From the walls to the floors and every piece of equipment and furniture. Nothing was the same. That also went for the security guard who now had his own desk in the front lobby area.

  Nice touch, Murphy.

By noon, McKenna and Whisper had successfully answered every email they could answer as well as put a couple of fun articles together for later in the week. As much as she continued to worry about the McCoy’s and the issues they were facing, McKenna was trying her best to resume life as normal. At least until they asked for her help.

Based on the conversation with the UC, Chase Reed, she wasn’t so sure they needed her help anymore. From the sound of it, Chase had a bit more dirt on Crawford than Crawford seemed to have on Luke and Logan, which ultimately if presented correctly, would work in their favor. According to Tag, both Luke and Logan were also a bit more optimistic.

As for Susan Toulmin, well, she wasn’t speaking much at the moment. That could’ve been because she was personally introduced to Chase Reed by Stephen Crawford and according to Reed, she had found a new obsession. He assured all of them that he had absolutely no interest. McKenna believed him. She also believed that there was something more to this cop than what they were letting on.

She hadn’t mentioned her suspicions to Tag yet because she was truly trying to see how this would all play out. If it were true and Reed would be able to turn the tables on Crawford, the pictures might just die a sudden, much deserved death, and they could all resume their lives as normal. The only concern was whether Crawford had already released them since he had been so generous and sent them to McKenna. Remembering what she saw still made her sick to her stomach. Not because of what they were doing but because McKenna had no desire ever to see Tag with another woman.

“Hey, boss lady,” Whisper greeted as she cheerfully walked into McKenna’s office without knocking.

“Why are you so happy?” McKenna smiled back at her friend.

  “No reason,” Whisper lied.

“I find that very hard to believe. Sit down. Talk to me,” McKenna told her assistant as she pushed her keyboard away and focused solely on the vibrant, glowing woman in her office.

She couldn’t help but remember the last few times she saw Whisper. McKenna was pretty sure there were issues in her life, and she kept hoping her friend would reach out to her, but, unfortunately, McKenna had been wrapped up in her own drama.

“How’s Anna?” McKenna asked, deciding to jump right in with both feet.

  “She’s amazing,” Whisper said dreamily.

McKenna smiled and cocked an eyebrow, waiting for Whisper to elaborate. She didn’t. “Well, I could’ve told you that, so you’re going to have to give me more than that.”

Whisper laughed, and her husky, seductive chuckle echoed through the room and probably the rest of the building if she had to guess. Her friend was definitely not anything like her name would suggest.

“I think we both realized exactly what we were doing.”

“And that was?” McKenna felt clueless, and she wondered why Whisper seemed to be talking in circles.

Whisper grinned slyly. “Let’s just say, we have decided not to take for granted what we have anymore. It took us a long time to find each other and in less time than that, we’d somehow managed to start drifting apart. I love her. She is my world, and maybe, just maybe, I took a little “what not to do” from your book.”

McKenna’s eyes widened and then she laughed. Loudly. “What not to do? I know you did not just say that.”

“Yes, boss lady. If nothing else, over the last few weeks, I’ve learned that you’re supposed to go after what you want because you taught me that,” Whisper said, pointing her finger directly at McKenna. “And I also learned that you aren’t supposed to run away from it once you find it. I learned that from your sexy lawyer man.

“Then, most importantly, I learned that if you want something bad enough, it’s worth everything it took to get it. And it’s worth every second invested after because there are some people who are not as blessed to have found it. And you never know how long it might last.”

McKenna sat back in her chair, tapping her pen on her thumb as she regarded her friend’s words of wisdom.

She knew that what Stephen Crawford was doing was ultimately affecting lives. In many ways. Ways he probably wasn’t even aware of. But, she was damn sure he didn’t realize that he had brought a couple back together because of his ignorance and his desire to tear everything apart.

To top it off, Susan Toulmin was bound and determined to ensure she hurt others the way she felt she had been hurt, and though McKenna absolutely didn’t agree with her methods, she could almost understand her logic.

“Well, regardless how this turn of events happened, I’m super thrilled that the two of you are working it out. You’re both amazing women who deserve each other. You complement one another nicely.”

“That we do,” Whisper agreed. “Now, I think I better get outta here. I really do have a date this time.”

“Be careful and have fun.” McKenna watched as Whisper practically skipped out of the room.

Wow. It was crazy how things happened, but when they resulted in a woman who was as happy as Whisper, McKenna didn’t feel the need to question it.

Glancing at her watch, she realized it was just after five, and she had one last thing she needed to get done. Sending off a quick note to Tag, inviting him to her house for dinner, she jumped right into the article she hoped to have out the following day.

By the time she was finished, McKenna was about half an hour late for meeting Tag. She glanced at her cell phone but noticed he hadn’t called, so she figured he got tied up and would probably get there about the same time she did. Shutting down her laptop and dropping it into her bag, McKenna hefted the bag on her shoulder and grabbed her purse.

Walking down the hall, she dug through her purse for her keys and looked up in time to come almost face to face with Stephen Crawford.

“Mr. Crawford,” McKenna said coolly, trying to ignore the painful pounding of her heart against her ribs.

“Ready to do that interview yet?” he asked, sounding eerily calm.

“Interview?” She knew there was no way to get out of this confrontation, so she could only hope if she pretended not to know what he was talking about, it’d give her at least a minute to come up with a plan.

Since she already had her keys in her hand, she couldn’t very well reach back in her purse and gr
ab her handgun because he’d wonder what she was doing and the last thing McKenna wanted was for this to go bad.

“Yeah, you know the interview you’re going to run tomorrow because if you don’t, I’m going to make sure pictures of your boyfriend and that whore, Samantha McCoy, are plastered all over cyberspace.”

The memory of those photos made her stomach churn, but McKenna ignored it. Those were in the past, they didn’t matter anymore.

Tag and Sam mattered though. To McKenna. She cared about what happened to them, and she wasn’t about to let this crazy bastard get away with ruining lives because he was a selfish, greedy asshole.

Shifting her bag on her shoulder, McKenna stared back at Stephen, seeing the crazed look in his eye. She still had a hard time understanding how he could’ve gotten so greedy that he resorted to blackmailing. She wondered whether his father even knew, but then again, if the Crawford’s were working to cover up environmental problems that would ultimately cost them a fortune, she could see how he might.

“What did you have in mind, Mr. Crawford?”

“Please, call me Stephen. It’s not like I haven’t seen you intimately.”

McKenna choked on the bile that threatened to come surging from her throat. She knew exactly what he was referring to, but it made her sick to think of what perverse things he might’ve done while looking at her pictures.

“Those were tastefully done, by the way,” he added. “I would’ve much preferred to see more of your pretty pink pussy, but now that you’re frequenting the club, I figure I might just get my chance.”

“Not in this lifetime,” McKenna bit out, her fury overshadowing any self-preservation she might’ve had.

“See, that’s where you’re wrong,” Stephen said as he lunged toward her.

Before McKenna even knew what happened, Stephen was flying the opposite direction, his arms flailing as he lost his step and went crashing into the wall.
