“I can’t believe you’re going to be my wife,” he said.

“We should get married as soon as we get back,” she said.

“We will. I don’t want to wait another second.”

As he picked her up and spun her in a circle, she shrieked. He set her down and they danced around the bus, stopping only to watch some people jam on their drums. Clouds of sweet-scented pot smoke billowed through the air. She couldn’t feel the cold anymore. She could only feel the love. Greg’s and the crowd’s.

Another cloudburst of rain drenched her shirt. It clung to her, leaving nothing to the imagination. Other women pranced around naked, but she wasn’t going to put her body on display for anyone but Greg. She grabbed his hand.

“Let’s get in the bus,” she said seductively.

His eyes lit up as he pulled her hard against him. Rivulets of water streamed down his face. When their lips met, she melted against his hard body. He walked her backward until the backs of her thighs hit the edge of the bus. She giggled and pulled away to climb inside.

After he joined her, she reached to pull the door shut, but before she did, she yelled, “If this van’s a rockin’, don’t come a knockin’.”

A small group of people near the bus cheered. She grinned as she slammed the door closed.

When she turned to Greg, he was already wiggling out of his wet jeans. He’d been shirtless since they’d parked the previous morning. They’d made love too many times to count, but she couldn’t get enough of him.

He laid a blanket down on the floor, and then lay down on his back. She joined him. He pulled a second blanket over them. She trailed her fingers over his chest.

“Maybe we should be careful since I’m not on the pill,” she said.

“I wouldn’t mind starting our family right away,” he said.

“Your parents will freak if they have bastards for grandkids.”

“They’ll never know,” he said as he leaned over to nuzzle her neck. “We’ll insist on getting married the second we get home. I love you, babe.”

“I love you too,” she whispered.

His hands glided across her back, leaving trails of fire in their wake. But that wasn’t the only way he was making her burn for him. By the time he’d finished kissing and licking and sucking her neck and breasts, she couldn’t wait another second.

She wrapped her hand around his rigid cock and guided him home. As he filled her, she laid her chest against his. Their lips brushed together as they slowed long enough to savor each other. Every time he made love to her, she learned something new about his body—where he liked to be touched and squeezed and caressed. She wanted to spend a lifetime getting to know exactly how to drive him crazy.

As they moved in time with the music blaring in from outside, tension coiled inside her. She rode him slowly at first, but she couldn’t hold back for long. Grinding, writhing, swirling her hips, she rose up and tossed her hair over her shoulders. His hands closed over her bouncing breasts, sending fresh bolts of need straight to her sex.

“Don’t make me wait,” he growled.

She loved his husky tone. Passion, lust, and love melted together as she urged them both toward a state of total ecstasy. She’d never been so connected, so completely obsessed with another person. The whole world dissolved until all she could hear was the rush of his shaky breaths and her own dark keening sounds.

When she couldn’t hold back another second, she flew over the edge. She pulsed against him, racked with a throbbing, shattering release that make her weep with joy.

He shouted her name as he found his own release. Thick spurts of slick heat filled her as she collapsed against him. He drove up one last time. As she crashed back against the floor, his entire body shuddered. Every inch of him shivered against her as a soft cry escaped his lips.

She clung to him, reveling in a post-orgasmic bliss unlike anything she’d ever experienced. And for a moment, she sensed a slight shift in her body, as if a profound, life-changing event had just taken place.

“Did you feel that?” she whispered.

  “All of it,” he murmured.

  “No, I mean just now.”

“I’ve never felt anything like that in my life,” he said.

She laid her head against his chest and listened to his heartbeat for a few minutes.

“We’re going to have an amazing life together,” she whispered. “I can’t wait to go home and marry you.”

  “Me too.”

“Do you think we’ll have lots of kids?” she asked.

  “As many as you want.”

“What else do you want?” she asked.

“Just you.” He caressed her cheek and looked into her eyes. “I don’t care about anything but you. Well, maybe that bed and breakfast I’ve always dreamed about having.”

“We could build it next to the house by the lake.”

“It will take some work to clear the forest there,” he said.

“We have the rest of our lives to make it happen.”

  “Absolutely.”

A knock sounded on the door. She sat up and pulled the blanket to her chest.

  “Who is it?” Greg barked.

“It’s me, River. Open the door, man.”

  “We’re naked,” Daisy yelled.

Greg laughed and pulled on his jeans while she yanked a dress over her head. He pulled open the door.

“Far out, man,” River said as he climbed into the bus. “I never thought you’d actually show up.”

“Hey, man,” Greg said as he high-fived River. “Glad you make it. Where’s Meadow?”

“She’s grabbing some grub. We saw the bus rockin’ so I told her to get something while we waited.”

“You heard us?” Daisy asked, mortified.

“Nah,” River said. “I was out feelin’ the music, man.”

  “Where’s Andy?” she asked.

“Up in Canada still,” River said. “He called your old man. Damn, he was pissed, but he told Andy that he should call again to let him know how he’s doing. He’s mad, but I think he was more worried about not hearing from him.”

“I’m glad he called him,” Daisy said.

A part of her wanted to ask if her dad had asked about her, but she didn’t want to know. Maybe they could repair their relationship at some point in the future, but for now, she wanted to focus on the positive people in her life.

  Meadow appeared in the doorway.

“Damn, babe. You found food!” River jumped up to help her with several bowls of rice and cups of granola.

“I almost got jumped on the way back,” Meadow said. “There’s some crazy-hungry people out there. How are you guys doing?”

  “Great.”

“I see you found Greg,” Meadow said with a wink.

  “We’re getting married,” Daisy said.

“No shit,” River said. He slapped Greg on the back. “You’re a good man. Take care of her.”

  “I will.”

Daisy spent the next day with River, Meadow, and Greg. They danced and laughed and sang along with the bands until the last notes floated away on the wind.

  Epilogue

Nine months later, Daisy stared up at her husband from the hospital bed. He held their newborn baby boy in his arms. The screaming child wailed until Greg handed him to his wife.

“I can’t believe it,” he said through tears. “I have a son. We have a son.”

“Hopefully the first of many,” she said softly.

She stared into her son’s clear hazel eyes. Depending on the angle of the light, they flashed a deeper green or brown. She counted each finger and toe. He was perfect in every way.

When she glanced up at Greg, tears formed in her eyes. Their love had only grown over the last few months. She’d never imagined she could be so happy. Together they were going to build the most amazing family together.

“What should we name him?” she asked.

  “Anything you want, honey.”

“I was thinking… how about Mackey?”

“Mackey?” Greg grinned. “Sounds like a girl’s name.”

  “It does not,” she said.

  “How about Gunther?”

  “God, no!”

  “Okay,” he grinned. “Christopher?”

  “Sounds too uptight.”

  “Jeremy?”

“I like Mackey,” she pouted. “I just spent nine hours in labor, I should get to name him.”

“Honey, you can name him anything you want… except Mackey.”

The door opened. Both sets of new grandparents walked into the room. After she’d married Greg, she’d longed to repair the rift in her family. She’d contacted her father, and after several tear-filled conversations, they’d agreed to forgive each other for the past.

  “Where’s my grandbaby?” Betty crooned.

“Congratulations,” her dad said as he slapped Greg on the back.

  “Thank you, sir.”

“Good job, son.” Greg’s dad pulled him into a hug so uncharacteristically affectionate that Daisy couldn’t believe it. Her heart soared with happiness.

“What did you name him?” her mom asked.

“We don’t know yet,” Daisy said.

“Do you have any ideas?” Greg’s dad asked.

“She wants to name him Mackey,” Greg said while rolling his eyes.

“That’s a cute name,” Betty said.

“But he’s a boy,” Greg protested. “His name should sound powerful, masculine. He’s going to lead the next generation of this family.”

  “I like Mackey,” Daisy said.

“What about Mack?” a voice suggested from behind everyone.

Daisy looked past her parents to find Andy strolling into the room. He reached to shake their dad’s hand, but he pulled Andy into a hug instead. She was relieved to see them getting along so well. Andy leaned over the bed and gave her a light hug.

“Mack is a strong name,” Greg’s dad said with approval.

“I like it,” Betty and her mom said at the same time. They laughed and hugged each other.

Daisy looked to Greg, who still seemed to be mulling it over. When his gaze met hers, a slow smile spread across his face.

“I like it,” he said softly. “Mack.”

He moved to her side and leaned down to kiss her, then his son. As they huddled over their baby boy, Daisy cried tears of joy. She’d never seen anything so precious in her life. In that moment, she vowed never to let anything pull her family apart again. The love they shared was a great blessing and she would cherish it for the rest of her life.

  Excerpt

  Rachel whispered, “You should go.”

When he didn’t immediately respond, butterflies beat furiously in her belly. His breath came fast and hard. His eyes glimmered with unspoken desire. Close enough to see the wash of stubble on his cheeks, she flicked her tongue out to wet her lips and, in doing so, made a huge mistake.

In an instant, Brady wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her to him. His lips slashed across hers in a demanding kiss that stole her breath. Even if she’d wanted to fight him, she couldn’t. She knew, without a doubt, that she’d awakened the beast lurking inside him—his bear.

His tongue slid between hers, eliciting a gasp from deep within her chest. All thoughts of fighting him vanished as he claimed her mouth. She wrapped her arms around his neck and drew him down to deepen the kiss. It had been so long since she’d kissed someone that the overwhelming rush of pleasure made her half-faint with wanton need.

He broke away long enough to gasp. “Which room?”

  “Two-fifteen.”

He scooped her into his arms as if she were lighter than a feather. When they reached the door, she yanked the keycard out of her jeans and jammed it into the lock. The second it clicked open, he kicked the door with his boot. He carried her inside and kicked the door closed behind him.

She couldn’t look at anything but the twin dark pools of desire in his eyes. The pure, masculine scent of erotic need rolled off of him in waves. She inhaled deeply, drawing in his essence.

After setting her down, he cupped her face with his palms. “If you want me to stop…”

She shook her head, unable to make her lips move. This was crazy, but she couldn’t think about the consequences now. She needed him, wanted him, and wouldn’t stop until she had him.

Kane stood behind her. His rock hard body brushed against her as he poured water down her back. “You have the hips and body of a Goddess. Women should be round and soft. And you… you’re absolutely what we’re looking for.”

Raff closed the distance between them and brushed a feather-light kiss across her mouth. She moaned as Kane used one finger to draw a line from the nape of her neck to the base of her spine. She pressed her breasts against Raff’s chest. Behind her, Kane moved closer.

Sandwiched between the men, she lost track of whose hands caressed her hips and whose lips burned a trail of kisses across the hollow of her throat.

Lost in an orgy of sensation, she closed her eyes and fell into their arms. She recognized Raff’s lips as they captured hers again. She returned the passionate kiss with fervor. As her lips parted to welcome his tongue, Kane slid his hand across the lowest part of her belly. She tensed.

Kane whispered. “Relax. Let us worship you.”
