Vampire Heart

I nodded. It was all I could not to blow snot or saliva on him.
Wade kissed me despite my disgusting face.
“I think we should start with a cat. What do you think?”
“Cats—are—assholes,” I sniffed.
“Then they’ll fit in nicely with us.” Wade laughed, and I burst out along with him.
Wade’s arms tightened around me. I couldn’t believe it. I was finally home. With the man of my dreams. No, not my dreams. This man was wilder than any dream.
And I was his. Forever.
Fuck, that felt good saying. Forever.
A Letter from Rhys
Wow, what a ride, hey?
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it.
If you did, why not leave a review? Reviews help our books reach more readers. I’ve also made some arrangements, so if you post your review on Amazon, an Angel Guardian will knock on your door and vow to protect you from all harm for life. I’m not even kidding.
Okay, maybe a little bit. You won’t know unless you try.
Vampire Heart came with its own challenges. After plotting the book, my muse abandoned me, life gave me a few punches for good measure, and finishing the book stopped being a priority.
Although it always was. I had my deadlines to stick to, and my release schedule all planned. And of course, most importantly, I didn’t want to leave you all hanging. But through the support of my friends (you know who you are *cough* Ana *cough*) and my family, I persevered, and my muse decided I was worthy of her again.
The other challenge with writing this installment was the ending. I know this isn’t the end of Caleb and Wade’s story, and I didn’t want to fool anyone into believing it is, but I also wanted to give the boys a happily ever after...for now. Because let’s face it. After everything Christian put them through, they needed some happy. Right?
So rest assured, more adventures are coming for Wade and Caleb. And, of course, if it wasn’t hint enough, Angel Guard is coming too. And those will be some swoon-worthy urban fantasy standalones with some of your favorite characters.
A big thank you to my Everlies for all their help, and more specifically Ida Umphers who named one of the characters.
What am I writing next?
My next writing project is the Cedarwood Beach series. As the series title may suggest, these books will be contemporary small-town MM romances and the first book, “Fresh Start,” is coming on the 29th of February.
It’s got everything you’d ever expect from a small-town romance. Hot men, family, all the feels, and some definite steam. “Fresh Start,” in particular, is a second chance, enemies to lovers romance and will introduce you to a wonderful cast of beautiful men looking for their happy ever after.
You can order your copy here.
If contemporary is not your thing, or you just can’t wait until the next Rhys Lawless book, well, I’ve also got a little surprise for you.
As a February/Valentine special, I’m writing Daddy Heart. Yes, you read that right. Daddy Heart.
Daddy Heart will be 2.5 in the Blade & Dust series and will feature a sexy older demon, a young virgin incubus, and a gang of nasty paranormals that turn against the unlikely duo.
Daddy Heart will be out on the 21st of February, or that’s what I’m hoping so anyway, so keep your eyes peeled.
The last thing I’m going to tell you is this: If you didn’t know any of this news, that’s because you’re missing out. And if FOMO is not your thing, you can join my Facebook Group, Rhys Everly After, where I announce everything about new projects, I share snippets of my work-in-progress, and even let my readers give important input (names, books, characters, you name it).
If you don’t do social media, why not join my VIP Readers News List where I share all my latest updates monthly? The best part is you get a free short when you sign up. “Foxy Heart” is 0.5 in the Blade & Dust series, and if you haven’t read it yet, here’s your chance. Click here to get your FREE copy.
Thank you so much for reading my books and for joining me in this wild adventure. The response to this series and your love for Wade and Caleb has literally kept me going at times when I wanted to give up. You won’t ever know how much it means to me.
Here’s to the next adventure! It’s coming.
