Instantly, a powerful aura erupted from his entire being.

Bang! The world shook, as the still surviving trees within the area began to shake violently due to the rising wind pressures from the energies forming around the body of Regalas. The pouring rain instantly became chaotic as this section of the land became devoid of its showers.

Swoosh-swoosh! Quickly, both forms vanished as they began to move beyond supersonic speeds. A terrifying shockwave followed as the sonic-boom of both individuals had only just made an impact on the world around them.

Boom! As their sonic boom echoed, the weaker Ghoulfiends and allied fiend army were blown towards the distant parts of the battlefield, crashing into the large boulders and sturdy looking trees.

Soon, both the figures of Matuk and Regalas clashed again and again. The brutally designed battle axe swung towards the head of Regalas with a murderous light gleaming from its edges.

As if he didn't sense the threat behind the axe's edge, Regalas promptly reached out his massive furry claws and ruthlessly swiped towards Matuk's throat.

Swi----ing! A loud slicing sound soon after followed as both Regalas and Matuk passed by each other's forms at unparalleled speeds quickly coming to a stop at opposing ends. As their bodies faced two different directions, the rain that been held back by their powerful momentum had finally managed to re-envelope both forms, it drenched their bodies causing their hairs to droop down.

A stifling silence lingered within the battlefield as both forms remained still, leaving only the sound of relentless pouring rain. Quickly though, this silence soon came to an end.

"Blarg!" A nauseating sound, similar to a sick man coughing up his guts. Regalas hunched over as he gripped his furry belly and vomited volumes upon volumes of blood, his dark yellow eyes now stained with a tinge of bloody red.

Matuk seeing this scene smiled, as he once more brandished his battle axe and rushed towards Regalas threatening to cleave his head from his body. However, right when his axe was about to do its deed he was interrupted.

Drip-drip-drip! A sound similar to a water droplet falling in a hollow cave reverberated throughout the area, as the ground in front of Regalas had begun to behave unusually.

As if it was transformed into a lake, it began to form tiny streams that rippled outwards from its center. Soon, a massive armored figure sprung from out of this water-like earth quickly curling itself into the shape of a ball, its body glowing in a bright metallic sheen.

Swoosh! BANG! The sound of Matuk's battle axe colliding with the shell of the armored creature resounded as waves of energies scattered once more devasting all within their reach for a few thousand meters.

Sou! Sou! As both forms retreated a few dozens of meters from their point of collision, the massive dark brown armored creature uncurled itself and glanced towards Matuk with a mocking gaze.

Matuk who saw this creature appearing before him went insane, but before he could do anything, there was another sudden change.

"Evee-vulasssk, resputine~!" An unknown tongue, one filled with a strange pressure that weighted on all within the environment. Soon, the figure of an elderly looking dark green skinned creature that wore decorated robes and wielded a special staff appeared hovering in the air.

After speaking in an unknown tongue, the staff within the creature’s hand began to glow in a blinding green light that shrouded most of the region. Quickly, it pointed it towards the figure of Matuk who was looking at it with rage as a bright ray of green light beamed towards his form.

  Piiiiiiiiiiiii!

"Dammit! It's Gobufiend-Magic!" Matuk cursed in anger, as he sensed the threat of the incoming beam.

Quickly, he placed his battle axe before his form and plunged it into the ground using its broadside as a shield to protect his body from the attack. The beam didn't fail to live up to its prestige as it quickly surmounted the distant sky and collided with Matuk's form.

KA-BOOM! A massive explosion appeared after that levelled all things within the circumference of a thousand meters, and a bright white light blinded everyone present.

A pale-looking wolfman who stood on top of the wide and spacious looking boulder smiled as it saw this scene. A cunning light shining at the depths of its eyes as it rushed towards the camp that was a distance away from the battle scene, his figure shrouded by the bright blinding lights.

As this figure moved in the covering of these bright blinding lights, it couldn't help but frown as it thought back to the scene. He muttered to himself, "So, even this is only the opening stages for the powers of Middle-class Fiends! Truly a terrifying race...."

Swish! Quickly, his figure vanished as the bright light lingered within the field receded revealing a devasting sight.

It was a dreadful scene; the entire area had become a massive crater. This crater spanned hundreds of meters almost reaching the thousand-meter mark, as everything around the crater had been tossed into a state of chaos.

The gloomy trees of this section of the endlessly vast forest began to burn in an ominous green light, as the army from all parties had suffered severe casualties unable to fight anymore. Their members yelled out in mournful cries as they gripped whatever parts remaining of their bodies, waiting for the moment the god of death would appear to claim their lives.

Soon, the cloud of dust within the large crater had now begun to clear, revealing the silhouettes that now stood within its midst.

Puff! A rush of blood scattered about the area, as Matuk who stood behind his battle axe had succumbed to a few deep injuries. His already dark skin became even darker as multiple ruptures had formed on its surface, with bright bluish blood flowing from their openings.

He looked in front of him, a few dozens of meters distance away, at the two forms which now stood beside the hunched over Regalas. Soon, the hunched over Regalas once more got to his feet as he wiped the remaining blood from the corners of his lips and smiled as he spoke to the distressed looking Matuk.

"It's as I said Matuk, you certainly haven't change. However, I have grown within these passing years quite well 'old friend.' I have learned that one cannot do all things on his own, and thus, the scene you now see before you. Why would I come to battle you all alone?!" As Regalas said this, he couldn't help but laugh as he looked at the state of his old enemy.

Matuk hearing his words frown, as he tensed up his muscles causing the rushing blood to stop flowing from his open wounds. He thought to himself, "Tsk! Who would have thought that this mutt had learned the value of cooperation? It seems that this won't be an easy battle. Damn-damn-damn! If only this ritual had been completed before they made an appearance, then I'd like to see what they would do then...."

Quickly clearing his thoughts, he once more brandished his battle axe and spoke towards the group of enemies solemnly, "Aras! Undevis! You both seriously don't believe in this rubbish about the human being here, do you?! What benefit does forming a conflict with me brings?"

The Elder Gobufiend Aras and Sub Terranean King Undevis hearing his words finally spoke for the first time.

"Gobu-gobu-gobu! I haven't said that I came here for a human now did I Young Orkus?" Aras said in a soft carefully laugher, in a manner similar to how a kind old man would sound.

"Chi-chi-chiii! That pillar of yours reminds this one of an old tale, this one simply cannot resist the urge of 'inquiring...'" Undevis said in a creepy and sly tone.

"Hahahaha! Good-good! Very good! Since it is this way, then there is no more need for conversation. I hope for your sake that you are all ready to find out what it means to be an Orckusfiend! Orckonian War Body!" Matuk said as he roared in a loud voice, quickly, his body began to glow in a strange light that caused his body to start transforming.

"Ha! That's enough idle banter! Let's go! Awoooooooo!" Regalas said as he howled towards the heavens, a terrifying energy once more shrouding his form.

"Evees-reckoning!" Aras chanted as he stomped his staff onto the ground causing his entire being to begin to c
hange.

"Terranean's True Body!" Undevis muttered as his voice began to grow shaky soon after melding with the world, the earth began to shake as his figure started to fuse with its surface.

The surviving fiends from all parties who say this became stunned as they scrambled with all of their strengths while lost in a panic, "This isn't good! Everyone! Get away from here now! They're unleashing their battle forms!"

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou! As the fiends who were capable of running scrambled for their lives, the energies of the four beings standing within the crater had reached their peaks.

BOOM! A loud boom rang out as four powerful energies quickly began to oppress all directions. The harshly pouring rain once more coming to halt in this region, due to an invisible barrier formed by their oppression.

The eve of an even fiercer battle was about to unfold...

  Chapter 89

  __

  The Completed Ascension Ritual!

It was a battle like no other, as clusters of energies would collide together creating a series of 'booms' that leveled all within their reach. There were four forms locked in a deathly struggle, as they turned into beams of colored lights that bounced about the endless forestry wreaking havoc on everything around them.

A massive dark colored creature with a broad face that had sharp bat-like ears and big jaws that exposed dangerously sharp teeth would brandish a massive battle axe with jagged edges as it parried a series of green energy ball attacks that came from a distant creature that hovered a few feet off the ground.

  Boom! Boom! Boom!

As the large creature successfully deflected its enemies’ attack, its dark-colored skin would occasionally show a network of veins that glowed in a bright green light, as if what lay underneath the skin's covering was its true authentic nature.

Its tall, dark hair flowed wildly behind its head as a towering amount of True Foundation fiendish energies erupted from its body when it lifted its head and roared towards its opponents.

"Urroaagghhh----!" As it roared, a terrifying ripple of energy would spread out amongst the wildland, creating shockwaves that would hinder his opposing enemies charge.

One large dark wolfman would create a myriad of remnant shades as it agilely traversed the complex terrain of the forestry while charging towards the gigantic dark skin creature before it.

Soon it arrived before the massive dark colored creature who promptly slashed its battle axe towards his head.

As if it didn't care about death, the dark wolfman's thick fur started to rise. Quickly, its fiendish powers of True Foundation realm rose to its limits, as a savage presence came into being.

The wolfman started to revolve its body as it continued its reckless charge. Almost instantaneously, it created a black cyclone-like attack that cut towards the massive dark colored creatures’ chest. An ethereal wolf shade could vaguely be seen shrouded within the dark cyclone.

"Dark Cyclone Assault! Awoooooo!" The howl of Regalas could be heard even at distant battlefield.

"Tsk! Dammit!" Matuk yelled out, as he saw Regalas all or nothing assault towards the vital section of his chest.

He swiftly retracted his axe's attack and used the side of its edge to smack the swirling Regalas away, redirecting the cyclone-like assault towards a different section of the Gloomy Forest.

Swooossh! The wind in the area grew chaotic as Regalas's swirling form soared through the regions quickly colliding into a massive hill.

Following a loud 'boom' and a rise of dust, the muddy form of Regalas could be seen struggling to stand in a large crater formed within the hill. The harsh rain further drenching his body, making visible the bloody wounds on his body.

Matuk seeing this was about to rush forwards and make a finishing attack but he was quickly interrupted by another of his attackers.

Drip. Following the sound of a water droplet, all of the surrounding earth within 300 meters began to ripple in an unusual manner. Soon, the ground started to change as it begun to swallow all things within towards its center depths, acting as if it had transformed into a gigantic whirlpool.

As Matuk felt his body sinking into the earth he frowned, he swiftly moved his hand that held the battle axe not wasting any time. After positioning the battle axe over his head, he then roared with a loud voice.

"Earth Splitting Vortex Axe!" Following his loud shout, clusters of dark aura energies once more shrouded his towering form. The whirlpool centered around his body had begun to become unstable due to his rising aura slowing his rate of descent.

Swinggg! With a loud slicing sound, he viciously swung his axe forward as cleaved it into the earthly whirlpool below his feet.

BANGG! A massive boom rang out, as the whirlpool-like earth disappeared returning the land to its usual form.

However, the power of the axe could not be underestimated as the earth continued to sink, creating a deep depression that spanned 300 meters. The trees and boulders along with small hills within the region fell into the crevice created.'

Puff! The sound of a lifeform spitting out his fluids soon resounded throughout the area, as a massive armored creature was shot from out of the ground due the force of the axe assault. It rose to the sky for a few meters before falling on top of a massive tree that snapped because of its immense weight.

The distant Aras looked at the scene before his eyes with weariness as he thought to himself, "It seems that it will take a lot more effort than I'd initially thought to defeat Matuk. Hmm, I guess we can only use 'those' means then..."

He pointed his staff towards the sky and spoke in a strange tongue once again, "Evees-Healing!"

A dark green energy once more came into being, however, instead of heading towards Matuk this energy broke into two orbs of light that quickly shot towards the injured figures of Regalas and Undevis.

After enveloping both of their forms, their injuries almost instantaneously began to heal itself at an alarming rate. Soon, they could both properly stand on their feet as they wiped the blood from their mouths and resumed their battle stances, their auras rising once more rising to its peak.

Matuk seeing this cursed to himself, "Damn! That Gobufiend Mage is a troublesome fellow indeed! I need to find a way to take it down or this battle will only become disadvantageous from here on out!"

He quickly cleared his thoughts and wielded his battle axe once more as he shouted at the figures of Regalas, Aras, and Undevis, "You cowardly bastards prepare to die!"

  Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Bang!

Their battle continuing as they battled further and further away from the destroyed land along with a now distant tribe at the farthest edge of this section of the forestry.

Looking past the large craters of the earth, the leveled section of land filled with broken trees and blazing green fires. One would see a myriad of corpses that rested in pieces around this gloomy wildland, each who died due to several kinds of fatal injuries.

The few who were lucky enough to survive the previous chaos could only cry out with mournful sounds due to their severe injuries, as a few of them even went as far to plead to the heavens for a swift death itself.

Lucky for them though, today their prayers will be answered.

A pale and sickly looking wolfman was swiftly making its way through this desolate field of corpses, as it moved it would adeptly strike its vicious looking claws towards the chest and throats of vulnerable fiendkins that were too weak to resist.

Splash! Puff! The sound of flesh being broken through with their blood splattering across the area was heard, but due to the pouring rain, it was mostly drowned out to all within the surrounding area.

If one looked carefully, they would notice that for each successful kill, the light within the dark yellow eyes of this pale looking wolfman would glow excitedly.

"You have killed a Sub Terranean! 1000 War Points has been awarded!"

"You have killed a Dark Wolfman! 1000 War Points has been awarded!"

p; "You have killed a Ghoulfiend! 1000 War Points has been awarded!"

Following a series of notifications, the information within Feng Yu's head continued to list each of his points awarded for each accomplished War Command.

A feeling of excitement rose within Feng Yu as he saw his points rise per kill, he couldn't help but clench his bloody claw-like fists and mutter to himself, "This is certainly the best place to harvest an almost an endless stream of free War Points! Sigh, who would have thought this useless technique could be so useful? By sending a strand electrical aura into the brain of an intact corpse with all of its major organs barely functioning, I can replicate the state of that legendary spell - 'LiveDeath.'"

"I wonder, what will happen if Dai Lin uses this technique?" Feng Yu pondered, as he scratched his ‘snout.’ Soon though, he quickly cleared his thoughts and willed with his thoughts.

"Show me my current War Points!" Feng Yu said, shortly a new set of information appeared before his eyes.

  "Total War Points: 25000 / 1000000."

Looking at the information shown to his eyes, he couldn't help but frown as he thought to himself, "There is still a long way to go! My current strength is not enough to grant me safety even in these forest outskirts of the Endless Rain Zone. I need to find a place where I can sit down and prepare myself to breakthrough to the next stage of cultivation. However, sabotaging this tribe’s ritual comes first..."

Having thought to here, Feng Yu quickly cleared his thoughts and rushed towards the destroyed entrance of Matuk's tribe that was now only a few hundred meters distance away from him.

The rhythmic beats could still be heard even through harsh rains, as a strange presence began to fill area surrounding the village.

Swoosh! As Feng Yu got closer and closer, the beats grew more intense. Quickly, he arrived at the unmanned entrance of the tribe. His eyes couldn't help but open wide as he became stunned by the scene before him.

The plain white pillar was almost entirely suffused by lights shining from the runes etched on top of its surface. Carefully looking, one would notice a bright ray of star-like lights that beamed down from a crack in the heavens themselves.
