Within a pub, around a counter was the figure of a muscularly looking Dwarfin. His sloppy looking figure seated on top of a wooden stool as he drank the pub’s specialty liquor with large gups, with a melancholic look on his curly bearded face that was drenched in the wine that leaked from the corners of his lips.

While he gazed towards the ceiling which was decorated with a variety of colorful glowing leaves, he would mumble to himself in words that did not make any sense, “The passing of an age... the wilting of a once blossoming era... now only a vestige of its former self...”

However, what remained strange was that a few of the surrounding natives who were also seated nearby did not looked at this Dwarfin with looks of disdain or ridicule, but with reminiscent gazes, as only the young born natives revealed curious looks.

“Sigh... it seems that even if he did escape, he’s no longer capable of returning to his old self...” A Dwarfin who sat in a close by corner said with a look of regret in his eyes. A few other natives from the different Aquatic Races nodded their heads in agreement.

The night activities of the pub continued without any major disturbances, as the rarely relaxed natives enjoyed their currently peaceful times.

Soon, the figure of a small fairy with golden wings entered the pub by flying through the window; she then looked around at the lively scene as if searching for someone, quickly her vision locked on the form of the curly bearded Dwarfin and her body vanished like a blur instantly appearing before him.

“Hey, what’s with all that drinking? Tsk! Get a hold of yourself Zyne, we can’t stay here for too long.” Myria said with a frown on her face.

Zyne hearing this soon woke up from his dazed state of mind with a tired smile on his face, he responded, “Ah... your right. Still, it’s been so long since I last had the time to relax, I guess I may have let mood get the best of me...”

Myria hearing his words snorted as she spoke, “Humph! I have already finished the preparations and have contacted the hideaway. It’s time for us head out once again, my fairy troops are rallying the rest of the group.”

“Fine... fine... brat fairy, might I ask the route you aim to travel to get to your Fairy Hideaway? Zyne said in a curious tone, as he slowly picked himself up from the stool and fixed his clothes.

Thinking for a bit Myria replied with certainty, “We shall head through the Aracnian Pass at dawn. Oh, and where are those two now? I haven’t seen them since we arrived here.”

“What?! The Aracnian Pass, with our current strengths at this scale are you sane?!” Zyne yelled as he heard her first words ignoring the latter half.

“I don’t have time to explain it to you of all people! Humph! Since you don’t know where they are, I will find them myself.” Myria said as she flew outside of the room soaring towards the top of the tall tree buildings.

Zyne looked at her disappearing form with a frown on his face as he spoke, “The Aracnian Pass, this silly little thing where did she get so much courage? If it were before the sealing fine, but now, those damn bugs are the most dangerous things we could possibly face...”

After a while of thinking, he cleared his head and called for his hammer which he placed of his shoulders as he held the handle while making his way outside of the room. “It seems, that our journey just got more troublesome...” His figure soon vanishing as he exited through the pub’s door.

The structures of this town were quite tall, some reaching up to a few hundreds of meters as below them all one could see was a faintly visible mist that glowed with the lights that shone from the leaves.

Currently, at the top of a strange building made of leaves where two individuals were seated as they calmly watched the colorful rain the fell from the gigantic leaves that covered all things. It was a handsome red-haired youth with hair that fell to his knees, who wore strange cyan armor with two ancient swords on his back, the other was a peerless beautiful white-haired female who despite her sickly appearance had a look of brilliance in her bright silver eyes, her lips pursed into a smile as she spoke softly.

“This scene reminds me of home...” As she said this, she couldn’t help but fall into a bit of a daze.

“Oh, where was that?” Feng Yu who held her within his arms asked in a curious manner.

“A place that can no longer be reached...” Jing Mingyun replied with a slightly lost look in her eyes.

“Ahem! There’s no point worrying over such things, don’t you have a new home now?” Feng Yu said with a slightly embarrassed look on his face as he rubbed his nose.

Jing Mingyun hearing this felt sweet but when she thinks back to his hidden female, she couldn’t but snort as she replied with a hint of anger, “Humph! A home that has already taken two residents...” Her beautiful silver eyes glaring at his face as she rested on his chest.

Feng Yu hearing this became stunned as a layer of sweat fell down his forehead, he thought quickly for a moment and like any other man decided to change the subject. “This... well this forest is quite strange. Why is it able to create such a luminance and not be discovered by those fiends?”

Jing Mingyun hearing this snorted as she thought to herself, “Humph! Fine, you can hide it for now, but I will meet her eventually...” She then looked around the environment and responded with a vague smile on her sickly face. “There was once a time where this place was home to many, a place that had been the source of all magic, as at the core of this land was a lake made purely of life source energy. It is the remnant strands of those energies that seeped into the trees and plants of these forests giving them the attributes of lifeforms capable of using slights amount of magic power...”

As she said this, she then moved her gaze from the surrounding towards Feng Yu and continued to speak once more, “Because of this...” However, before she could finish her statement, she was soon interrupted by the voice of the Fairy Princess.

“The plant lifeforms here felt closer to natives who originated from these lands and when the age of darkness descended, a large portion of their kind had also submitted to whim of those who acted against the former Paragon Races. This caused more than half of these magical plants to become corrupted, falling into an eternal gloomy state which later became known, as the Gloomy Forests...”

Feng Yu hearing this was shocked, but he chose to remain silent and listen to the rest of the story before asking questions. His eyes gleaming with a touch of interest as he thought to himself, “Very interesting...”

Myria seemed to have not noticed Feng Yu’s change as she gazed at the colorful raindrops while continuing to tell her story, “But despite this act of betrayal against the Paragon Races, they did not exterminate the betrayers at the end of Dark Wars. They simply punished our kinds along with the magical plant lifeforms, revoking our strengths, plunging us into this realm to struggle against the very kind we once served. To act in atonement for these sins the lake that was once filled with pure life source energy gave up its entire source to purge as much of the darkness as it could, pushing away the corroded source to very edges of this now broken world, or rather, zone. The last of its will remaining within these plants with the sole purpose of keeping all natives hidden from those on the outside...”

“It seems that there is more to this world than I could have ever imagined...” Feng Yu muttered to himself, Jing Mingyun hearing his words smiled she replied, “You are wrong about one thing...”

“Oh? And what’s that?” Feng Yu hearing her speak once more asked in curiously, Myria who was now awakened from her dazed story also looked towards Jing Mingyun with a deep gaze.

“It was never just a single world...” As she said this, the eyes of Myria and herself gleamed in a profound light. One that shone with a history, that mostly likely will never be told, for this a story belonging to ancient times, with tales of old from a long, long time ago...

“Enough about these things, I came here to remind you two lovebirds that we have already settled our matters in this town. It is time for us to
leave directly for our clan ‘s hideaway.” Myria said, with a smug look on her small adorable face she then quickly flapped her wings vanishing like a blur giving Feng Yu and Jing Mingyun no time to ask any questions.

Their faces both red, as they got up and followed after Myria. Feng Yu picked up Jing Mingyun on his back carrying her piggyback style once again as Jing Mingyun’s pale slender arms wrapped around his neck again.

The wind rustling the long white hair of Jing Mingyun who was on his back as Feng Yu stood at the edge of tall tree-like building. However, the moment he was about to jump he was distracted by Jing Mingyun.

  “Hey...” Jing Mingyun asked.

“Un? What is it?” Feng Yu responded in a puzzled light, as he paused his motion.

“What did you do to that miss to cause your bond of agreement?” Jing Mingyun asked in a serious tone.

“What?! This... whoa, not good!” Feng Yu hearing this became stunned at the unexcepted question, he stuttered while replying as his feet stumbled causing both to fall towards the ground. Quickly though, he promptly reacted as he leaned his body while falling carrying him to a nearby branch of a tree building where he flipped and skillfully landed.

Though his body was vastly more powerful than before, the heights of these tree-like buildings were no joke falling from them unprepared would still cause a certain degree of injuries.

“Whew!” As he saw the distant floor below him, Feng Yu wiped his sweat while exhaling before he responded to Jing Mingyun who remained oddly quiet on his back. “I touc—I mean did nothing...” As he said this, he gripped her legs and jump towards the distant floor.

“Hmph! We’ll see soon...” Jing Mingyun replied as their figures soon vanished into a dense foggy mist that covered the ground from these altitudes.

Within the Dark Palace, in the now semi-reconstructed central room.

A few individuals sat around a central table, each of them being the elders who have been stationed at distant outposts as well as those who were hidden within the hidden special palace guards’ units. Three individuals sat side by side at the main chairs as they looked at the individuals before them with a severe light in their eyes.

“So, your telling me that despite all the resources I’ve given you no one is able to go into the realm of the Radiant Woods?!” Kefalas asked in a tone filled with anger.

“Sir, the woods are rather strange as it emits a repulsive force that prevents us from accurately traveling through its depths. We cannot find their locations no matter where we went, and worse of all the Nymphs from the air have no way to see through the odd shrouding of those ancient plant life. If it wasn’t for the fairy princess being stubborn and falling for our traps back, then even the Zone Commander wouldn’t have been able to capture her...”

Slam! With the sound of a loud bang, the table was destroyed as Kefalas slapped it hard with his palm due to anger. He looked towards the elder who spoke and yelled, “God dammit! I don’t care what you do, I want those fairies and that ground of individuals captured!”

“Yes... yes, sir!” The elder replied as he bowed his head and left the room.

Titana who sat by his side furrowed her brows as she spoke, “This is so troublesome, what do we do now?” As she spoke, the remaining elders looked towards each other, none having an answer.

Kefalas seeing this calmed down and spoke, “Since we can’t do anything directly, we can on---” However, as he was speaking there was a sudden change.

Buzzzzz! A strange sound, almost inaudible at first but it rang like a piercing sound in the minds of everyone who was inside the room. Soon, the voice belonging to a strange unknown man sounded within the minds of the individuals.

“Such useless spawns... can’t even do something so simple...” The voice said.

“What?! Who the hell are you?! Show yourself!” One of the elders who was quite hot-headed yelled in anger, the others took on a layer of vigilance on their faces as they scanned the room.

Oddly enough though, there was no sign of any lifeform having entered the room as the only life signs visible was that belonging to the elders. The Dark Supreme Elder, Kefala’s and as well as Titana’s face sunk as they quickly rose to their feet’s upon realizing this fact.

“Great one, may we know your name?” Kefalas said with a tone filled with rare humility, as he had an idea of who or rather, what had come.

“Name? Huhuhu....” the voice laughed and said as a bulky looking shape soon appeared, or rather, became vaguely visible at the corner of the room. It was a dark outline that lingered in the corner as if it had been there for a very long time.

The elders in the room went silent as they waited for the stranger to continue his words, not disappointing them the silhouette continued to speak, “My name is of no importance. Therefore, you may refer to me by no title, as...”

As it said this, its eyes glowed in a strangely dark light, filled with an energy that cannot be sensed by those on this plane as its words echoed within this quiet room filling all who heard its contents with a type of dread, “I am simply a shadow...”

  The Fabled Aracnian Pass

As the Radian Woods welcomed a new day, the vibrant scene of the night had all but faded away into the gloominess of the norm. However, strangely enough it was also a day which the rain fell harder than unusual as the dark clouds churned with its rumbling thunders almost as if it could sense a foreboding change.

The brightly shining leaves had once more returned to their normal states, leaving behind only a dense mist that seemed to shroud all things in sight. A wide group of luscious plants and bushes grew within these parts, some glowing with strange hues as a few particles of energies were emitted from their surfaces as the others remained in a still state.

The muddy puddles of the green earth rippling with each drop of rain as well as movement of wildlife, a few strange creatures lingered about these parts, some being of sizes no smaller than hills while others were as big as the already massive ancient trees themselves. These were Force Beasts, kings of the wild and the true rulers of the land in this age...

Splash-splash-splash. The sound of many footsteps could be heard within this dense morning mist, as a large group of silhouettes slowly and cautiously made their way through these wild woods. Their figures slowly becoming more and more visible as the dawn grew closer to its peak, looking at the group one would see that they could not be referred to as a common group but traveling army.

A collection of different races garbed in a fine armor from an ancient time, these armors gave of a special feeling, one that even those who wore them did not understand themselves. Except for the very few who knew their inside secrets.

Speaking of those few, three of them could be seen marching ahead of the army at a briskly cautious pace. A Dwarfin, a Fairy and a Human, or to be more precise, two humans as one red haired male carried a pale and sickly white-haired beauty on his back.

They made their way towards a large rocky surface that stood at the very edge of these woods, looking like a wall that grew to the heights of clouds, closing off this section of woods from the other side. This rocky wall seemed to have been around for an extremely long time with moss spread across its surface, and an aura from a different age that seemed to have permeated into its structure completely.

Carefully looking, one would notice that at the center of this massive wall was a large opening that seemed to have been made by man, it was a broad pathway that led towards the unknown.

The place was known as the Fabled....

“Aracnian Pass....” A voice said, shortly after the figure of the Dwarfin grew clearer as he continued to speak.

“It’s been such a long time since I’ve been here...” Zyne muttered under his voice, he then moved his gaze towards Myria as he spoke, “I will ask once again... are you certain about the Aracnian Pass?”

Myria hearing this pouted as she responded,
Hmph! Zyne I know what I’m doing! Besides, the paths where the portal appears will constantly change, it has been this way even in those times and there is no way the current clan can change it. Also, we fairies can’t keep using the same paths who knows if one among the native comrades will betray our kind and intrude using them...”

“Well I hope for our sake that the Aracnians inside have all been extinct, those critters would have been no trouble in the past but as for right now...” A dark look came of Zyne’s face as he spoke his words.

The marching army of natives who heard him also had a dark looks on their faces as well, even the sickly-looking Jing Mingyun who was on Feng Yu’s back a shade sicker as she whispered to his ears, “Yu... It will be really dangerous if we meet any of those kind...”

“Why so?” Feng Yu replied as he felt slightly curious about these creatures.

“These are Ancient Force Beasts, a kind on a different level from the ones we saw in the wild. These Aracnians are vicious and will spare not even their own kinsmen, as they exist solely for their own evolution consuming all that comes in their paths. Their strengths are no weaker than the very peak of High-Class Fiends, and if that was all it wouldn’t be such a bad thing... but the moment the members of this race sees another race, they will attack in clusters of large groups giving one no chance to react no matter how strong they are...” Jing Mingyun said in a solemn tone of voice, her hands that wrapped around Feng Yu’s neck couldn’t help but grip tightly.

“They are that awful? Shit! This is the only path available to us now?” Feng Yu exclaimed in a surprise.

Myria hearing his words couldn’t help but speak out with a tone of confidence, “Don’t worry! We took this path a few times before I was captured by that despicable Reinz. If I remember correctly the Aracnians we saw were all in a hibernated state...”
