“A million dollars my ass. He didn’t even leave me with enough cash to fucking put gas in the car to go to the funeral.” When the officer came with her tray for supper, she asked him who the man had come to see her thought he was. “He acts just like his shit don’t stink. I’m guessing that he’s some hood or something, right?”
“Tyler Winchester? No, you couldn’t be more wrong. He and his family are the richest people in the state. I think, last I heard, they were the richest in the world. Tyler, he’s been gone for a little while, and only just come home from visiting his other homes in different countries. Can you believe that? That young man owns houses in different countries. He’s a good person—all the Winchesters are.” He eyed her carefully. “Did he come to warn you off? If I was you, I’d take heed of that warning. They are not a group to be messed with. Any one of them would kill you where you stood if you hurt one of them. Even one of us, the townspeople. They’ve done a great deal—”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whoopee. They more than likely got all their ill-gotten gains by robbing people like you. Or drugs. And no one is that nice.”
He just huffed at her and left her sitting there with her cold food tray.
Glenda wasn’t sure what that meant until she opened the silver lid. A cold sandwich. A baked, not fried, small thing of chips, and a sack of cookies. There was also a bag of vegetables, also cold and not cooked. Not even a dipping thing to make them eatable. Christ, what was she supposed to do now? This wasn’t a meal, it was a snack.
Eating everything but the Baggie of carrots and celery, she slid the tray out of her cell and as far down the hallway she could. She hoped that someone would come in and trip on the sucker, but she couldn’t see that far from where she was. And the mirror that was just down the way from her wasn’t at the right angle for her. She was as pissed as she’d ever been for being locked up here.
By the time she was ready for bed, she’d made several plans and discarded them all. The problem she was having was that she had no money. Nothing to fall back on either. She had her home, but if she didn’t come up with the tax money soon, she’d not even have that.
Glenda had thought of selling it a while back. Someone would want it where it was, she thought. A neighborhood full of those type of people that all mowed their lawn on the same day, planted the same fucking flowers, and had two hundred kids each. Who, by her estimate, had every noisy toy there was, and used them right outside her fucking door. But when she’d called a realtor to have it sold for the cash, she found out that her house was worth less than what her husband had paid for it, and that was over forty years ago.
“If you upgrade the kitchen, put in new windows and carpet, and have the yard landscaped, I’m sure I could get you a better price. But as it sits right now, it’s barely worth the effort to put it on the market. Especially for what you want for it.” She asked him what she could get for it, not even caring if she made a great deal. Money was needed badly. He told her a price that made her kick him out of her house.
“If I could have done all those repairs, I wouldn’t need to sell my house for cash. What a fucking moron.” Closing her eyes, lying on the cot, she couldn’t wait to have her grandson. The very first thing she was going to do was change that horrible name. She should have named him for his daddy, not some stupid name like he had. “Ryan James Scott the third. You just wait, my boy. Grandma is coming for you.”

Jazzie loved all her new clothing, and the things for Joey. He looked so dapper in his new snowsuit and hat that she wanted to take his picture and send it to her mom. Talking to her earlier, she had told her what happened with Glenda, and what Tyler had done to protect them.
“I like the young man. You will be happier than anyone I know, honey.” She told Mom that she thought so as well, then told her about the shopping trip. “You needed that too. I don’t think that you had all that much when you lived in your house, did you?”
“No. Money was tight, and I didn’t have anything I could borrow with. As it was, the babysitter was taking almost my entire check each month. I just had the house, but now that’s gone as well.” Mom told her that she was sorry. “It’s not your fault. I shouldn’t have married Ryan in the first place.”
“I blame me for that. I should have known that he was covering an evil side. His mother—now there is a piece of work that I’d like to trample all over. She actually hit you?” Jazzie laughed. Hearing the indignation in her mom’s voice made her feel good. “I swear, if I had been there, I’d of mopped the floor up with her. She is not a very good person.”
“No, she’s not. Are you and Ash having fun? I saw some of the things you were doing there, and Tyler told me that you were having fun shopping as well.” Mom told her that she was getting Joey and her some gifts. “You don’t have to do that for me. I’m doing all right now.”
“I wish you could get you a cell phone so you could send me pictures of little Joey. I miss that boy so much. It was harder to leave him than I ever had trouble leaving you girls. I think it’s a grandma thing.” Jazzie laughed again and Tyler came in the room with her. She told her mom that she needed to get off the phone. “Yes, but see about getting you a cell phone, if for no other reason than to send those pictures. I bet he’s growing like a weed.”
“He is. And I will.”
After telling her mom that she loved her, she gave Uncle Lloyd’s phone back to him. They were headed to Tyler’s office—he’d asked to see her—when she remembered something that she needed to ask him.
“I was wondering why you told Glenda that you and I were married.”
“I was hoping that I could convince you tonight to marry me soon. Everyone will be at the house on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and I think that my mom would love that.” She nodded. “Unless you want a big wedding. We can do that too. Though I don’t think my poor body can hold out that long. I would like to have you in my bed.”
They were all so blunt, the Winchesters. Sometimes it was all right, but most of the time, she would have to cover her face to hide her embarrassment. And when Tyler went down on one knee, Jazzie was too shocked to say much of anything when he put a ring on her left ring finger.
“What do you think you’re doing?” He said that he thought that he was proposing. “What I mean is, it’s all right for you to tell people that we’re married. I would imagine that it would save you a lot of embarrassment with having me here. But we don’t actually have to do it. I’m not even sure that this is a good idea. I told you, I’m not a good wife.”
They’d talked a great deal while shopping. She’d told him what she thought of as her qualities as a person, and the cons of being someone’s wife. He seemed to understand, not saying much but telling her something about himself. Tit for tat, he’d called it. Now he was proposing.
“Okay, first of all, I have no idea where you got the idea that I’d have to marry you because you’re staying here. My mother knows and is all right with it, and the world, as a whole, can fuck off for all I care about their opinions. But honestly, everyone is happy that I’m happy. And I am with you and Joey. Secondly, I also don’t know why you think that you’d not make me a good wife. You are perfect for me. And I hope I’m perfect for you. I am told that I’m quite the catch.” When he wiggled his brows at her, she laughed. “Thirdly. And I know that you’re going to have a hard time believing this, but I’m already in love with you. From the top of your pretty head to the bottom of your feet.”
He slipped the ring up and over her knuckle. Jazzie didn’t look at it—she needed to make him understand what she was telling him. But when he stood up and pulled her into his arms, she melted when he kissed her.
Kissed her. He did, but it wasn’t just a mere kiss. No, it was a claiming; he held her to him like a man that really did love her. His hands were gentle as he molded her muscles. Her mouth felt like it was on fire, then he slid his tongue between her lips.
Moaning, she felt her body sway with the need of
the kiss. Tyler picked her up by her ass and she wrapped her legs around his hips. Sitting on the desk where he’d put her, Jazzie helped him pull her clothing off, and when she was bare from the waist up, he took her breast into his mouth and gave her the best, sweetest climax she’d ever had.
“I need you.” She nodded, pulling at his clothing now. and when his pants were undone, she reached into them and wrapped her hand around his thick cock. “Christ, you’re going to make it so I can’t last. I want you to enjoy this.”
“I am. Very much so.” The monitor beeped once. There was movement in Joey’s bed, and she held her breath waiting to see if he went back to sleep. “Please go back to sleep, Joey. For Mommy.”
When he wailed, she looked at Tyler, and when he lifted his hand she flinched from it. Jazzie was terrified that he was going to hit her. Neither of them said a word. Then Tyler touched his fingers to her cheek and smiled at her.
It was tight, his smile, and Jazzie started to cry, sobbing hard. Taking her hand into his, he handed her his shirt and took her to the stairs and up them. As she sat on his bed he tended to Joey, speaking softly to him, but she could tell he was talking mostly to her.
“Your momma, she needs someone like us in her life to make it better, don’t you think? I mean, your biological father, he fuck...he messed things up for you and I, being that we’re both men, right?” Joey garbled at Tyler as he was zipped up in his jammies. “I have an idea. I think you’re going to love it. Why don’t you and I be the best men in her life so that she won’t be afraid of us? What do you think?”
“I’m sorry.” Tyler asked her for what as he sat in the rocker and rocked her son. “I don’t know why I flinched at you. I know that you’d never harm me.”
“I would never hurt you in any way. But, I also know that you’ve been abused, and that you have to learn to trust people again. He hit you, I know that. But I will never do that. Not ever will I harm you or our son.” She hurt in ways that she wasn’t sure she could explain to him. “Saturday, if you will, I’d like to legally make you my wife. I can arrange everything from here. And I’d like, with your permission, to adopt Joey as my son. That way, Glenda, the wicked witch of the West, will have no legal rights to him. Ever.”
“She won’t give up.” Tyler just smiled at her. “You’re very sexy. Has anyone ever pointed that out to you?”
“Not anyone that matters as much to me as you do.” That gave her heart a boost. Standing up, she pulled off her pants and walked to the bed. “If you get into that, I’d not expect to get up anytime soon. All right?”
“Yes. I’m fine with that. Which side do you sleep on?” He said whichever one she was on. “You’re very good at that. Saying the right thing, making me feel like I’m loved. I know that you do, you’ve told me, but it’s a feeling that I’ve never had much of before. Even when I married the prick, it wasn’t because I loved him. It was that he was someone that I thought that I could depend on. And that hurt me a great deal.”
Sliding into the bed, she watched him from the middle of the big mattress. When Joey was asleep, Tyler put him in the bed and stood by him for a few minutes before he moved to where she was. He unbuttoned his jeans and pulled them off.
Having the baby bed in the room with them might not be such a good idea, but this way they’d not have to get up and go far to get him if they needed to. When he slipped under the covers, turning off the lamp by the bed as he did, she was surprised at how warm he was. She asked him about it.
“I’m a wolf. We burn hotter than humans.” He pulled her up and over him, his hard cock between her legs. Sitting up the way that she was, he was pressing against her pussy. “Christ, you have no idea how long I’ve wanted to have you here. It seems like most of my life.”
She moved over him, watching his face for any sign that he wasn’t enjoying this. But he was, and that made her want to please him more, to give him everything that she had, including her love. It hit her right then, causing her to stop moving and look down at him.
“What is it?” She shook her head and smiled at him. “I have no idea what you’re thinking right now, but whatever it is, I think I can take it.”
“I love you.” He asked her to repeat herself. “I said that I love you. It sort of snuck up on me. But I do—I love you very much. And yes, I’d love to marry you, and have you adopt our son. So long as you’re willing to give him more brothers and sisters. I want a large family.”
“Yes. Yes, to all of it.” He pulled her down, his mouth searing across her own. And when he lifted her up, settling her down over his cock, she cried out with the feel of him being a part of her. “I love you so much, Jazzie Ann Winchester.”
Chapter 4
Tyler was in love, and his mate forever loved him. Showing her what he wanted her to do, ride him, he watched her face and was amazed at the emotions, the pleasure that he saw there. It was like he was watching deep into her soul.
When she cried out a second time, he rolled her to her back. He was still deep inside of her, but he wanted to touch, to taste her too. Sliding down her body, his cock burning with the desire to empty inside of her, his wolf, usually so demanding, was as calm as he’d ever felt him.
“You have the most perfect skin.” He kissed her nipple. And when it tightened and elongated, he took the morsel into his mouth and suckled the tip. Cupping her breasts together, he nibbled on each of them, back and forth, as she begged him to hurry. “No, this is our first time, and I want it to be enjoyable for you.”
“It would be if you’d let me come hard. I can feel it, the need to come and scream out your name.” She glanced over at the crib. “Maybe I can scream into a pillow.”
“Perhaps this time.” Tyler moved over her skin to her ribs. She was too thin. His mother had told him that. He’d have to make sure she ate better. Kissing the skin just above her navel, Tyler enjoyed the indentation of her belly button. Lifting her bottom up, he moved down her body.
He could smell her need, and his own ramped up when he inhaled deeply. Tasting her, taking her cream into his body, was his next move. As he bit her flesh, marveling at the taste she had in different parts of her body, Tyler spread her nether lips open when he was between her legs.
“You smell of your nectar. I love the smell, and I’m going to enjoy the taste as well. Will you come for me, love? Give me a taste of what I need?” She moaned, and he took that for a yes. Blowing over her swollen nubbin, he smiled when she grabbed his hair and pushed him into her pussy. “So greedy.”
Suckling at her clit, he held her legs open with his body when she squeezed him. Tyler lifted her legs up, putting them over his shoulders when she flooded his mouth. He needed her, needed to mark her as his own. So licking her inner thigh so that the pain wouldn’t be so bad, he let a little of his wolf go and bit down on her leg.
Whatever he had expected, it wasn’t for her to come. Christ, she was bucking him hard enough to knock him loose. But he held on, licking and lapping at her pussy, getting as much cream as he could. And when she tightened her legs around his head, Tyler bit her there—not hard, but just enough to have her come again. When she jerked his head up this time, by his hair again, he could see her need like a cloak over her.
Moving up her body again, this time not taking the time to taste, he slid into her hard, his body bowing back from the force of it. She screamed out her release. It was music to his ears. And when his wolf moved over his skin, he leaned down to her throat and loved that she offered it to him.
Tyler felt his teeth move, stretching his mouth so that his wolf could take his part. And when he bit down at her throat, tearing at her skin savagely, he came with her, his body so hard, so filled with love that Tyler came three more times, each one of them just as hard, just as fulfilling as the last. When he dropped over her, he took the last of his energy and licked the wound he’d made closed.
Joey was fussing when he opened his eyes. Jazzie was still sleeping, so he pulled on his pants and made his way to him
. Tyler knew that they’d woken him, and as soon as he picked him up, Joey laid his little head on his shoulder as if he’d done it a million times before.
Holding onto the crib when the amount of love that he had for this little boy overwhelmed him, he looked over at Jazzie when she said his name softly. She was smiling at him, and he fell in love with her all over again.
“It feels good, doesn’t it?” He nodded, still unable to speak around the emotions that were making him dizzy. “The first time he did that to me, I cried for an hour. It’s trust. That’s what I was told. When he feels like he can trust you with him, he’ll show you the only way he knows how.”
“Do you trust me, Jazzie?” She smiled at him, and he could have powered the world with the way it made him feel. “I’m glad to hear that. But Joey needs his own room. Today, if you want to move furniture.”
“I think that’s an excellent idea.” She laid back, yawned, and closed her eyes. “Why don’t you bring him here and put him between us? That way, we can rest up before we have to get going for the— Holy crap, Tyler. I was supposed to be at your mom’s an hour ago to help with the meal.”
She leaped out of bed and he held Joey and laughed. Taking him with him into the bathroom, he stripped down and then did the same to his son, and got into the shower with Jazzie. It wasn’t what he had in mind when he thought of joining her in here yesterday, but it was fun.
Taking turns holding him, they washed each other and him. Joey seemed to be enjoying himself, splashing the water with his tiny hands. But he didn’t care for it getting on his face. As soon as they were all cleaned up, they exited the stall and did the same thing, each of them taking turns drying Joey, then themselves.
Once they were all dressed, Joey in his little jeans and T-shirt, Tyler dressed the same way, they loaded up in the car and made their way to his parents’ house. It was going to be epic, he thought, to tell them everything that they’d planned. Even the license that they’d need to get married had been rushed along by Addie. He was going to have to get her something huge for her help.
