Bran (Fae Shifters Book 2)

Bran had a tic under his left eye as anger filled his expression. Leland could almost feel it rolling off the huge Fae. Anyone else would back up from the energy blast. “I need to get to that ritual house and stop Mori. The longer she’s alive the more chances she has to hurt Josie. She’s not going to hurt my sweet girl. I’ll strangle her with my bare hands first.” His voice was ice cold, something Leland had never known to happen before.
“She is making a locator object, Bran. I have every faith in the world that she’s going to make sure Mori can be easily found.” Leland could still feel the anger from Bran.
Michael put a hand on Bran’s shoulder. “I’ve worked with the Silver Circle Coven on several occasions. They run a restaurant called The Garden, and they’ve used our bakery for desserts for years. They’ve employed some of our young ones at the restaurant as well. I’ve also worked with the Priestesses and High Priestess several times to track down missing persons for the police force. Most of the force are the males who are children or companions to the witches in the Coven. You can trust them to know what they are doing. The High Priestess is one of the most magical natural witches I’ve ever met. She’s shrewd too.”
Leland watched the big Fae fight with his emotions. Josie stepped into his embrace and tried to soothe him. His grandfather kissed the back of Josie’s head before motioning for them to step away from the couple. Fae had heightened senses so the shifters moved far enough away to speak quietly and privately.
“Did Eden seem concerned that Mori would run? Did she request aid?”
Leland snorted before shaking his head. “No. She seemed very in control of the situation. I have no doubt she could handle the circumstances with ease. She was more or less contacting Bran to inform him that they’d been unwittingly harboring Mori. She did want him to contact her though. I know you guys are training your mate, but I think settling this issue with the Fae will not only bring peace to Bran and his family, but allow you to train Josie at your leisure instead of feeling rushed. It has to be hard for her. We grow up with magic, learned how to feel it and use it. She wasn’t even aware of its existance a few days ago. Imagine how hard it would be for us if we suddenly lost something we have always had. It’s just the opposite for her.”
Leland was watching Bran as he held Josie, rubbing her back as the other hand held her by the waist. They were taking comfort in each other’s presence. Loneliness hit him hard. He took a breath, trying to stop the pain. His grandfather was six centuries old and had survived the loss of his wife before reuniting with Bran and finding his true mate. Leland was only a century old—he had no right to complain.
“We’ll return to camp in an hour or two. If Eden calls back, tell her we will meet her at The Garden to discuss what we should do. I know she has a great affinity for magic. She’ll be able to get the locator object on Mori. I want to comfort my mates, then we’ll head home.” Leland smiled before he hugged his grandfather.
“I’ll take care of it on my end. Bran and Josie need your calm demeanor and cool head right now. I can’t imagine how hard it is for you to stay calm knowing the woman who tried to take your mate before you found her, is so close.” The peaceful façade of his grandfather slipped briefly, and Leland saw the anger and riotous emotions swirling beneath the surface.
“That is why I need some time with them. We all need to release some fears and find reassurance in our bond.” His grandfather gave him another fierce hug before backing away and moving toward his mates.
Leland walked toward the line of Limbo to enter the Earth Plane but looked back over his shoulder to view the three mates. His grandfather had moved behind Josie and wrapped his arms around her and Bran. Leland didn’t know how Mori, a magicless Fae on the Earth Plane thought she could survive her treachery, but he had every confidence in the love bond of the three people comforting each other. They’d overcome this and come out stronger in the end.

Michael felt the pull to go to Josie like a Siren’s call. His body snuggled behind her, completing the circle between him and his mates. Bran was pulling her tight, kissing her slowly, their tongues visible as they turned their heads to deepen the kiss. Michael placed little kisses along her neck as he tugged the button loose on his jeans.
“Bran. Michael.” She was panting as Bran kissed along her jawline to her ear. “I need you. I need you both so much.” Her body was undulating, rubbing first Bran then Michael.
“You have us both, sweet girl.” Bran’s voice was nearly a growl, something Michael felt in his bones, his blood thickening in his veins.
Unable to stand the pressure of the denim against his skin, Michael moved away from Josie just long enough to push his clothes from his body. As he straightened, he slid his hands up Josie’s legs to find her waistband and unfasten her jeans. Bran was working on removing her shirt. The sight of her large pale nipples always brought Michael to his knees but when Bran began to suckle one, he thought he’d lose his mind. He stepped back to watch his mates as they touched each other. He’d never seen anything so beautiful or sensual as Bran and Josie making love.
“I think we should go inside the Crystal Cave.” He bent down, nipping and kissing his way up Josie’s legs, over her generous ass and then licked his way up her back to her neck. “We can surround ourselves in the energy of the crystals. It will be like a Vibrational Healing, bathing us in pure energy.” He heard Bran groan. Only people who had participated in a Vibrational Healing knew the feel of such intense sexual energy. Michael slid his hands down the front of Josie’s body to cup her sex. Warmth and slick, swollen tissues met his fingers. Both he and Josie moaned when he began to explore her folds.
Closing his eyes, he let himself feel the energy between himself and his mates. Bran’s energy, felt airy, full of sparks and swirls. If it had a flavor, he’d say it was sweet, like honey, just like his blood and semen. His own energy was Earthy, grounded and heavier; more cinnamon spice and cloves than sweet. But Josie, her energy was bright, warm and it almost seemed to glow with its intensity. It wrapped around her mates, pulling them in. Her energy gave to her mates, filling them in a way that only a mate’s energy could. But hers was different, it almost seemed to magnify his and Bran’s aura, feeding them and healing any tears or old scars of pain.
Bran began to back them into the cave’s entrance, no one broke contact with the others. Their hands and mouths touching, licking, nipping any skin they could. Once they entered the cave, they all gasped at the intensity when instantly, their sexual energy doubled. Michael needed to come. Badly. He glanced into Bran’s eyes and saw the same frenzied need. “Fuck.” Michael began to rub his erection against Josie’s hip, trying to ease the pain in his cock. Josie moaned and pushed against him. The friction of her skin made his body arch. His balls tightened a moment before he came with a shout. He heard Bran’s answering moan and felt Josie shake and arch in his arms. It was as if he’d never came, his body needed inside his mate. Either mate.
“Michael.” Josie’s voice was rough, husky with need. “Bran.” She pulled them so they stood side-by-side before she dropped to her knees, moving their bodies so their cocks were touching. Both men moaned as she took one then the other in her warm mouth.
Bran gently turned Michael’s face toward him. “I love you, Michael. I love you so much.” Bran began to kiss him slowly, exploring his mouth and the energy of the trio intensified again. He felt Josie licking his body, cleaning the come before returning back to his cock. He knew he would come again, and again, the fever of the Healing was high. He didn’t fight the urge to come—he let the energy infuse him. He grasped Bran’s hair in one hand while stroking Josie’s head with the other.
“I’m going to come again, Josie. That’s it baby, suck my cock just like that.” He panted, holding off for just a second, loving that moment of pressure before letting the pleasure overcome him. “Get ready, I’m coming.” He let the orgasm wash over him, feeding his sexual need, feeding Bran and Josie’s energy.
Bran moaned and he forced his eyes to open watching Josie pump Bran’s cock like a pro, as she sucked the last drops of his come. He watched Bran’s cock shoot thick ribbons of come, covering Josie’s shoulder, dripping down her chest. Michael could feel her absorbing the energy he and Bran were creating.
She popped off his cock and looked up to the men. “I want you both. I have to have you inside me.” She stood, her lips swollen, cheeks rosy in her need, her chest covered in Bran’s come. “I hurt for you both. Please.” Her last word was more moan than verbal language. She slid her hand between her legs and began to furiously strum her clit. She threw back her head and began to quiver with her orgasm. Michael felt the energy pulse through him, the intensity nearly dropping him to his knees. He turned her to face him, kissing her, tasting himself in her glorious mouth.
He moved to lay in the floor, pulling her on top of him so she straddled his body then spread his legs to make room for Bran. They moved as one, not needing to be told how to love each other. It was perfectly choreographed between them. He watched Bran’s face as he moved between their legs, his eyes drawn to Josie’s ass. He grinned as he reached for a bottle of lube that Michael didn’t remember being there. He heard Josie’s whimper when Bran opened the bottle and began to drizzle the slick liquid on her. He tried to control his lust, knowing they’d both be fucking Josie at the same time. He’d never shared a woman, and he’d never shared Bran with anyone. He wasn’t sure he’d survive his next orgasm.
Josie sucked in a breath just as Bran blew one out. “Almost all the way in, sweet girl. Fuck. You feel so damn good. Michael, this is heaven.” Bran opened his eyes and locked on to Michael. “It’s amazing. So fucking good.” He licked his lips. “I’m in.” Josie was moaning, panting and desperate to come. Michael could feel it, just as he could feel Bran’s amazement of being in her soft ass.
He moved his hand to line his cock up with Josie’s pussy. He was so hard he wasn’t sure he could move it without it shattering, but somehow, he managed to touch the head of his cock to her entrance, rubbing it against Bran. Both men moaned and Josie began to beg. He pushed in, none too gently and couldn’t stop to enjoy the feel of her tight channel. They were too far gone to coordinate their movements. Both men fucking their mate while she moved between them like a caged wild animal. Only the combined pressure of the men’s bodies kept her movements limited. His thoughts were so chaotic, his body in such a frenzy he knew he’d never be able to remember every second. He was focused on the feel of his cock in Josie’s warm pussy while Bran’s cock rubbed his, separated by just a thin layer of slick skin. Warmth of her juices ran over his balls.
Josie started to make noises he’d never heard come from a human. It incited his own lust, driving him to grab her shoulders and pull her down. He hurt to come, but his body wasn’t cooperating. He raised his eyes to look at her face, pink and covered in a fine layer of perspiration, her mouth was open and fangs were dropping. She opened her eyes and the sight nearly undid him. Her beautiful blue eyes were glowing orbs of pure energy. He pulled her down so her teeth raked his chest, just as Bran pressed his wrist to his mouth.
He felt his own fangs drop a second before he sank them into his male mate’s skin. At the same moment, several things happened at once. Josie slid her fangs into his chest and his body exploded in an orgasm that nearly shattered his soul. He could feel his mates’ orgasms joining his as energy exploded out from them, combined and fell back into their bodies, extending their climax as warm blood gushed into his mouth. He’d never been so overcome by feelings and his body’s responses.
He could feel himself as Josie, as Bran and himself. It was all at once, a moment of joining he’d never known existed. He had a bond with them before, but now this was another entity, a new creature they’d created between them. Understanding dawned at his and Bran’s love for one another and why they never came together in a permanent relationship before Josie entered their lives.
Josie was the lock and the key. She was the true power, the force that fused them. Nothing they had ever known before compared to the knowledge she opened. The love they had shared before Josie was to prepare their souls for her. There was no jealousy, no fight for domination between them, no need to compete for their female mate or her feelings of love.
Leland was right—they fell in love because they recognized in the other, parts of the same soul, but only Josie could connect them. Two alphas who would never be able to give up control, were now joined to create a new level of love. It was humbling and amazing. It was Josie. She connected them, she surrounded them, she weaved her way through them and she fed their starving souls. Her power eclipsed their own because she was pure love.
He came to awareness feeling Josie sucking on his chest as he was feeding from Bran. He knew Bran was taking blood from Josie. It was like an infinity symbol, but one of their bodies. Without words they all broke contact and sealed the wounds. Bran wrapped his arms around them and rolled them to the right, keeping them all joined.
“I think I left my body for a moment there.” Josie sounded amused. Happy.
“Don’t worry, Michael and I were in your body the whole time.”
Michael snorted at Bran’s words. “You are terrible at humor, Bran.” But they were all laughing, almost drunk from the energy overload. “This was the most amazing experience. I could feel each of you. It was a true opening and fusing of souls. Thank you, Josie, it was you. You are the true power, the true strength of our relationship.” Michael and Bran wrapped their arms around each other, holding Josie between them. Michael loved the feel of his mates being so close.
A loud clang sounded making Josie smile. “I guess Leland forgot to tell you something.”
Michael bit his bottom lip as he pulled out of Josie. They all moaned as the pressure released between them. “It better be something worth hearing or I’m going to wring his shifter neck.” But Michael could feel his grin as he moved to stand up. His jeans were outside, along with everyone else’s clothing. He winked as he walked from the cave. He found his jeans just as Leland came into view. He tossed the clothes into the Crystal Cave opening and bent to put on his own pants.
“I’m sorry to bother you again, but there has been a Special Convening called by the leaders of the shifter clans.”
Bran came out of the cave, zipping his jeans. Michael took a moment to appreciate Bran’s bare chest before turning back to his grandson. “Why would the shifters need a Convening? Has there been a problem? Why wouldn’t they get together and figure out a solution on their own?”
Leland shrugged but smiled at Josie as she exited the cave, trying to comb her wild hair with her fingers. “I don’t know, Grandfather. All I know is, when I returned to camp, I had several text messages that all but screamed that we needed to meet at the Kingshouse in Faedom immediately. All the leaders of the clans are making their way there now. I called most of the tribes and none of them would tell me anything because I’m temporarily in charge.” Michael could tell Leland wasn’t upset by that status nor the unwillingness of the shifter leaders to speak with him. Shifters were open with their feelings, and being offended by another shifter’s words just never happened. If he had been, Leland would’ve taken that up with the clan leaders at the time. It also proved to Michael that Leland was mature enough to handle the mantle of leadership.
“By the way,” Leland narrowed his gaze as the three of them stood before him, “you all are glowing. And I don’t mean that metaphorically. You are actually glowing. It wasn’t obvious until you were standing together, but now that you are, it’s like this warm, golden light is just surrounding you.”
Michael didn’t have to see his mates to know Bran was smiling and Josie was turning pink. He found his own grin. “We bonded completely. It’s something I never knew existed, but it was magical. And I don’t mean that metaphorically either.”
Chapter Nine
Josie was looking forward to seeing Faedom and meeting the people Bran took such pr
ide in leading. He loved his people and his Realms. She could almost feel his excitement at returning home. He’d been on the Earth Plane for a while hunting Mori, so stepping foot back onto Fae ground was going to feel wonderful. She walked between Michael and Bran, they each held her hand as they crossed the line from Limbo into the Fae realm.
The first thing she noticed was how clean she felt. Not just clean surroundings, but just by breathing the air, it seemed to sweep away the feeling of pollution in her blood. The energy felt different to her too. Pure, light and calming energy infused her. She almost felt herself absorbing the energy. She closed her eyes, letting the feelings sink deep inside her body. She was totally getting into the giddiness of Faedom when she heard Bran and Michael chuckle while others gasped. She opened her eyes to see a multitude of people staring at her with their mouths open in shock.
“I think we need to work on your energy manipulation, but damn if you don’t know how to make an entrance.” Bran’s voice was full of amusement and she wondered why until she turned to face him and realized she was looking down at him. She also noticed her hair was floating around her face. She knew she was taller than most women, but she wasn’t taller than her mates. She looked down and realized she was floating above the ground. Holy shit.
“Uh, I didn’t realize I was levitating.” Michael and Bran pulled her down so she was touching the ground but her hair was still floating.
“Just imagine a light switch that’s flipped on. Now push it down so the energy stops flowing.” Michael who was nuzzling her ear, chuckled when her hair fell back into place.
“I’m sorry, I was just overcome with the beauty and energy of Faedom.” She was shocked when the crowd cheered at her statement. Her face became hot with embarrassment at the attention. Bran smiled as he pulled her in for a hug.
“I know you’ve been informed that I have found my true mate and been reunited with Michael as he is Josie’s other true mate. Together we’ve been training Josie but as you can tell, she’s got quite the knack at absorbing energy. We’re here to join the Special Convening called by the shifter clans.” The crowd began to disperse, some walking away, others coming up to the trio to wish them well.
