Don't Think. Just Breathe. (TNT trilogy Book 1)

As he hears my words, I think I see him wince but then it’s gone like it wasn’t there. I must have imagined it. Seeing what I want to see. I turn to walk out the door but turn back for one last glance at him. My sweet boy sits there, looking so broken, barely holding it together. It pains me to walk away but I’m not what he needs right now. If I’m a reminder of her, I don’t want to be the cause of more suffering for him.
“Goodbye Tate,” I softly whisper, as I twist around and race from the house. I sprint down the street, tears blinding my vision as I head home. Leaving my sweet broken boy behind, along with the biggest part of me belonging to him. The piece he’s crushed on the floor into a million splattered pieces; my heart.

Acknowledgements
Firstly, I’d like to thank my Dad, John Delany, my sister, Rachel Ayers and my Big Bubba Johno McGrath. Losing the three of you in the space of eleven months was so earth shattering for me, the only way I could deal with the pain was to put it down on paper. I’ve weaved parts of all of you throughout the book. This book is filled with a lot of sadness but also filled with an extraordinary amount of love. It’s filled with the love I have for you three, it had nowhere to go except down on paper. I know the three of you would have been my biggest supporters. Without you, this book never would have come to be.
Secondly, I’d like to thank my little sister Rebecca Andrews. Who knew after all those irritating years of driving me crazy, you would come in handy in helping me to achieve this. Without you, this book wouldn’t have turned out as great as I believe it has. For that, I am truly grateful. I’m glad I’ve had you to bounce ideas off of. If you weren’t as enthusiastic about it as I was, I doubt I would have continued. Thank you for believing in me.
To my mother, thank you for being there on the end of the phone nearly every day, even when I rang to talk about the weather. I love you more than I can express and I hope you know how much. I will finish the trilogy so I don’t leave you wondering what happens next.
To my five main men, TJ and my sons. Thank you babe for being supportive of me through this. I know you probably won’t read this, as you aren’t much of a reader. I want you to know, even though we drive each other crazy, I’d still choose you a million times over to share this life with. Kids, thanks for being quiet and letting mum write and for being so well behaved. Yeah right, who am I kidding. Don’t stop being the noisy, boisterous, high energy little men you are. And always remember, you are never too old to give your mum kisses and hold her hand.
To Michael Pati Fuiava, my hunger buster brother. What can I say? You are amazing. The cover design is more than I could have imagined. You’ve given life to my characters in a way I never dreamt possible. Thank you so much for all the help you’ve given me in getting this book ready to go. I also appreciate all your help behind the scenes and marketing the book on social media. You’re a great friend and I’m lucky to have you.
To my best friends, my sisters from different misters. You are the most beautiful souls I know and I’m honoured I get to call you my friends. Lena aka Booger, Debs, Keets, Chrys, Con, Rita, Roseanne, Bri aka Bumbum, Bec Ah You, Lisa and Jaime Addy. Thank you for sticking by me through all these years. I’m lucky my closest friends exceed a handful.
To my BFF Melz, God truly blessed me when he gave me you. No matter how far apart we are, you will always be my BFF. I love you with the fire of a thousand suns. Our green dress lives on in the pages of my book.
To my friends and family, thank you so much for being energetic and excited whenever I told one of you I had written a book. Your positive vibes kept me going. A special thanks to Wayne and Germayne for reading the book, giving me feedback and falling in love with the characters as much as I did.
And lastly to my readers, I hope you enjoyed this book as much as I did writing it. At thirty-four years of age, I didn’t think I would be releasing my first novel. If you have a dream, chase it and don’t let anyone stand in your way. You are wonderful and unique and there’s only one of you in this world. So don’t let anyone, or yourself, dim your light. Let yourself shine!!
