totally healed up, it was the 41st day of the games. I could start with training working on my strength and agility. Decimus was tall and big boned and not very fast but he had power and I could see from the way he trained he was not afraid of me, he spread the word that he would be named Hercules after our battle. The battle was set and now turning back. On the 42rd day of the Gladiator Games I decided to remove my stitches on my arm and stomach giving it maximum time to heal before my battle.

It was the 43rd day. Decimus was already up he walking up and down in his cell yelling and shouting out loud working himself up for the battle. One of the Emperors Guards came up to my cell and said “Emperor Julius send word that he will be keeping an eye on you today and he hopes you will impress him” he turned around and walking away. As Decimus walked up and down I closed my eyes thinking of my family hoping for their safety, I could see them clearly in my mind and then Nero appeared alongside them. I started to get frantic and mad, “why would he be there alongside them in my mind.” I got up and started to shout and swear at him I could feel that Hercules was back taking over this mortal human body of mine. I grabbed the cell bars and started to shake them, Decimus did the same we faced each other shouting and going hysterically towards each other. The head guard decided that one would go out at a time onto the arena grounds and that we should not go out on the arena alongside each other. Decimus was lead out first he did his bow and stood in the middle of the arena waiting for me, they fetched me to face Decimus, as I stepped onto the arena grounds I could see my son and wife sitting next to Nero, she stood up when she saw me enter the arena, at this point I started to see red out of anger when Nero laughed at her pointing towards me. I looked up and saw Decimus standing in attack mode, I took my spear and switched it to my left hand, the stronger arm of the two and started to run towards Decimus screaming, I launched my spear with all my power about 10 yards from him, the spear was dead centre where I aimed and the force of the spear was so devastating the whole spear went straight through his body exiting at the back, Decimus took only one step forward and fell down to the ground instantly dead. I picked up the spear covered in blood and aimed it towards Nero as I launched it he grabbed one of his guards and pulled him in front of him, the spear would have struck Nero but instead it penetrated his guard, only wounding him by the help of his armour. I was escorted off the arena grounds as I yelled out to the crowd “In here, in this arena, I am a Hercules and no one will stop me from victory”.

I was notified by the guards that I have been chosen by Emperor Julius Caesar to be one of his Elite Gladiator and removed from the cell I was allocated to the Julius Caesar’s Elite Gladiator’s block. I went to the cell to collect my clothes, when I arrived at the cell all my clothes was already gone. There were no cells at the Elite Gladiator’s block we all had our own room with a comfortable bed, we could walk around freely and enjoy the festivities and entertainment, the Gladiators enjoyed every day as if it was their last day alive. Only a hand full of Gladiators was chosen by the Emperor Julius Caesar it was considered an honour, our armour was changed to specially made solid silver.

Nero also selected a hand full of his favourite Gladiators to be Elite Gladiators and their armour was also specially made out of solid bronze. Nero’s Elite Gladiator’s block was situated on the opposite side of the Colosseum; we would not come in contact with them as we were rivals to the death in the arena.

The rules are different for the Emperors Elite Gladiators:
