“Thank you.” Anna flips the box over so she can feel the weight of the compass in her hand. It’s beautiful with an intricate design etched into the brass backing, one not unlike the markings now on her back. Calm settles over her.

  About the Author

Anne Schlea was born and raised in Northwest Ohio where she spent much of her time on her Grandparents farm. Her adventures on the farm, in the woods, and along the nearby creek gave birth to Anne’s first characters.

Anne is an avid reader with over three thousand books in her personal collection. As a teen, she read the entire paranormal fiction and romance section of her local library in Woodville, Ohio.

Today, Anne lives in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, a short drive from the Appalachian Mountains, with her husband and her cat. While writing, she maintains a day job running a music school. Her writing buddy is a Siamese cat mix named for the Toto song, Rosanna.
