I've been running a Patreon for a few years now. Patreon is a modern answer to the Days Of Yore, when artists would have a wealthy patron to support them. Today, many people of ordinary incomes help support artists through Patreon and other systems like it. From an artistic point of view, it's a lifesaver. My patrons have helped me through some hard times, and supported me with their encouragement and enthusiasm.
In exchange, I've written two books of short stories, a full length novel, and a couple of novellas for them. All of those books have eventually been collected for general publication, as this one has. They've provided me with the freedom to pursue projects I love, and I'm eternally grateful to them.
