Hearing those words had tears streaming down my face. “I love you more.”
And then I kissed my man with all the passion in the world. He may have been a bad biker…an outlaw. But he was mine, and I would forever be his.

Two Months Later
“Do we have to go to the party tonight?” Kate asked as she laid on my chest, gently running her fingernails over my abs.
“Babe, I’m an officer, and we’re welcoming one of our charters. I have to at least make an appearance.”
“I bet I could tempt you to stay,” she said as she started gliding her hand down lower.
“You don’t play fair.” I grabbed her hand to stop her from starting something I didn’t have time to finish. “Let’s get up. The sooner we get there, the sooner we can come back here, and I can have my way with you.” I smacked her ass as we both got up to get dressed.
Thirty minutes later, we were walking into the clubhouse. The party was already in full swing, the alcohol flowing and plenty of girls for the visiting club, with one notable absence.
When Viking found out Michelle had told Jonathan where to find Kate when he had come to the clubhouse looking for her, he kicked her out on her ass. She was lucky that getting kicked out was the worst of her punishment.
I couldn’t help but feel like Kate’s injuries were all my fault. If it hadn’t been for me, Michelle wouldn’t have had it out for Kate, and Jonathan might not have found her that night. Kate said I was ridiculous and that nothing would have stopped Jonathan. She may have been right, but I was going to do everything within my power to make sure she was always protected.
I grabbed us a couple of beers and led Kate over to the corner. I sat down on the couch and pulled her onto my lap. A few months ago, I would have been participating in the debauchery happening all around us. But now, I was content sitting here with my girl. I would never miss the emptiness that went along with the life I had been living. Not when I knew how it felt to the have the love of a woman as incredible as Kate.
As the night progressed, I talked with a couple of guys from Reno. I met their president, Ice. He came across as an arrogant asshole, but he was here to help us. It was apparent their club was just as fed up with the Phantoms as we were. He had brought a few of his officers with him, as well as his sister. I wasn’t sure what the story was with that, but Kate was chatting her up, so I was sure she’d fill me in later.
It was starting to get late, and I wanted nothing more than to get back to the place I now shared with Kate and make good on my promise to fuck her until she couldn’t see straight.
“Mac, emergency meeting now,” Colt said as he walked by on his way to the back room.
So much for my plan. “Wait here for me, okay?” I asked as I knelt down to kiss Kate.
“Okay,” she said against my lips. Fuck, I loved kissing her.
I walked into the room filled with our members and the officers from Reno.
“Everyone, quiet down!” Viking got everyone’s attention quickly. “I was just talking to Ice, and we think the Phantoms are planning to make a move sooner than we expected.”
A bunch of pissed rumblings rang throughout the room.
“This is some serious shit, boys. I need you all to stay alert and get things at home sorted ASAP. Everyone needs to be ready to ride out at a moment’s notice.”
I hung back as everyone else started to leave. “If I have to leave, I want Kate to stay with Meredith,” I said, not even bothering to ask.
“Of course,” Viking responded as he walked to the door. Just as he was about to exit, he turned to look at me. “Shit’s about to go down, Mac. I hope you’re ready.”

Author’s Notes
Thank you so much for taking a chance on this new series. These MC men have been playing around inside my head for a couple of years, and I’m so happy to finally be telling their stories.
Thank you to my hubby and kids. You guys always encourage me and don’t get upset when I lock myself away to write. Love you all more than you know!
To my mama who supports me in so many ways. I have no idea what I would do without you and your words of wisdom.
I still can’t believe I’m actually writing books and putting them out there for people to read. I can’t thank the readers enough for all the support.
