On The Right Side

As a matter of fact, Obama, following the successful Bush doctrine, actually sent more troops to Afghanistan. At the time I wondered why the number of protesters didn’t increase dramatically when he did this.

The only reason I can come up with is that these individuals really didn’t care

about the wars, or our brave troops, at all. They were simply the same old, unoriginal Bush haters who saw their numbers dwindling and their hero, Barak Obama, failing. This is a perfect example of what you get when people like these put politics first and sacrifice their principles.

Third, the same friend pointed out to me the fact that the congressional health- care bill HR3590 requires that health insurance premiums paid by employers be shown on individuals’ W-2s by 2011. He called our U.S. Congressman to find out if this was in fact true and whether the premiums would be taxable.

As is probably typical with almost all of our representatives, he didn’t know initially. To his credit he eventually sent my friend a letter with what he found out. Yes it is a requirement, but no, not all plans will be taxed, just the “Cadillac plans.”

Unfortunately, he didn’t define what a “Cadillac plan” was. Also, he said that the levels were inflation adjusted, but since medical costs are increasing faster than the rate of inflation, that only means that more and more plans, and taxpayers, will be subject to this new tax.

Maybe someone can tell me why the insurance premiums paid have to be included on an individual’s W-2 to begin with. If you really believe that it is an innocent requirement and the premiums will never be taxed, then you will probably be foolish enough to vote for Obama all over again.

Finally, don’t you wish we had a leader with a backbone like Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu? He actually puts the safety and security of his own countrymen over world opinion. Obama just wants everyone, especially the bad guys, to like us.

Someone want to tell me where the reasoning is incorrect? Israel and Egypt formed the blockade in 2007 when Hamas took control of Gaza from the rival Fatah party after Israel unilaterally withdrew. The blockade is simply to prevent weapons from being smuggled in by sea. The ships are then told to dock at a nearby Israeli port and trucks will transport the humanitarian aid to Gaza. Just last November a ship bound for Gaza was seized after 200 tons of weapons were discovered.

The terms of this blockade were well known by all since it was instituted. The blockade itself was legal according to international law. Three cheers for Israel for putting the safety of its citizens first and foremost.

Here’s an idea. Why don’t all these anti-Semite, Palestinian sympathizers take themselves and their families and relocate in the towns and villages near Gaza. Let them put their children at risk of the hundreds, if not thousands, of rockets that have been fired upon these areas.

It’s just like those idealistic Americans who went to Iraq to chain themselves to hospitals and schools so that American bombers wouldn’t bomb these facilities (knowing full well that our Air Force wouldn’t do that anyway). When Hussein instead wanted them to be located around military facilities, they put their tails between their legs and scurried home to safety. Once again, so much for principles.

And where has the mainstream media been defending Israel actions? As usual, AWOL. As columnist Joel Mowbry said: “Much like the narrative of Israel’s ‘peace- loving’ enemies, the story of the mainstream media’s downfall is pretty straightforward.

As the news titans have continued to disregard the truth, the general public has likewise

  decided to disregard them.”

Ignore Liberals on Rallies, Palin Stories

I want to congratulate Maureen O’Connell and Sue MacNeill for making the first Walton Tea Party rally a huge success. Even with the inclement weather more than 100 people were in attendance. This was the case even though the date was misprinted in the paper.

There will be a huge rally this July 3 in Sidney, starting at 10am. It is being organized by Steve Anderson and there will be speakers, music, food from Brook’s BBQ, and fireworks in the evening. This one is going to be impressive. Call Steve at 607-563- 2554 for directions and information.

The liberals are trying their best to downplay the impact of these rallies, but our numbers are growing by leaps and bounds. If you are truly an Independent, and an independent thinker, please, don’t listen to these liberal lies. Come to one or more rallies and see for yourself the excitement and grass roots attitudes of the people attending. You will be favorably impressed.

If you want to see the lengths these secular progressives will go to smear a person’s good name please, please read Sarah Palin’s book “Going Rogue.” You will see why the last thing you should do is listen to these morally deficient individuals and why you should have a great deal of respect for this very strong woman.

Remember, I am writing this column for conservatives and those independents that have an open mind. Just to show you how careful you have to be in guarding against liberal lies is the tired old, continuing accusation of the famous Palin misquote, “I can see Russia from my back porch.” It started out to be just another smear started by the radical liberals but it is amazing how many people were too lazy to actually research it as to its truth.

The fact is that the quote came from Tina Fey, a Sarah Palin imposter performing on “Saturday Night Live.” It was not said by Sarah Palin herself! Is this an example of where you people are too lazy and rely on SNL or the talking heads to get your information? Do you lazily let them form all your opinions?

Okay, if you still want to believe she said that, I have another task for you if you are ambitious enough to make the effort. Get a road atlas and look up the map for Alaska. Now locate Wasilla. I’ll even give you a hint, it’s near Anchorage. Then check out the mileage scale. You should find that the distance from Wasilla (I really don’t know where her back porch is) to the Russian coast is more than 800 miles. Need I say more? Have you ever heard of something called a figure of speech?

This reminds me of a joke that is very apropos. Two liberals were sitting on their back porch in upstate New York one evening, looking up at the full moon. One liberal had a furrowed brow that made the other one ask what the problem was. The first liberal said, “I was just wondering, which do you think is farther away, the moon or Florida?” The second liberal looked at him in wonderment and replied, “Duh, that’s easy, you can see the moon can’t you?”

So just remember, the next time you hear a person repeat that earlier phrase and attribute it to Sarah Palin, you are probably talking to one of those liberals on the porch. Just smile and walk away…..quickly.

Oh yes, now their latest smear is where they are claiming Sarah Palin has had breast implants. Libs, do you really want to admit to being in favor of the people who behave like this, or support the character of people who use smear tactics like this? Your silence says you accept these tactics.

Now, as for you womens’ groups, self-proclaimed feminists, etc. Do you actually stand on principles, or are you merely political hypocrites when groups attack women as viciously as this? I don’t need to hear your words; your actions will speak volumes for you. The ball’s in your court now. What are you going to do?

You can now tell the election season is upon us. U.S. Sens. Gillibrand and Schumer, as well as Reps. Arcuri, and Murphy are all of a sudden remembering that they are supposed to be representing New York and no longer (temporarily) lap dogs for Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

All of a sudden they are telling all of us how hard they have been working for us and making brand new promises to show us just that. What fakes they are! They are really into the Washington power scene and want to stay there. They actually think our memories are so short that we will forgive them and re-elect them to another term. Let’s all vigorously support their conservative opponents.

Humble Man Will Make Good Opponent For Gillibrand

Last Saturday I was able to go to a meet-and-greet for David Malpass, an individual
running against Kirstin Gillibrand for a New York Senate seat. I was very impressed.

He is a humble man with humble beginnings and is a true fiscal conservative with very strong conservative credentials.

He was a respected member in both the Reagan and Bush Sr. administrations.

He writes on a regular basis for Forbes Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

He has 10 common-sense strategies for reducing federal spending, which he promises to advocate for from day one of his Senate term.

Just a few of those pledges: He promises to fight for no more earmarks, no new entitlements and no more bailouts. He pledges to limit the size of the national debt, defund the new health care law and use excess TARP (Troubled Assets Relief Program) money to reduce the national debt.

He will not vote for any funds to implement a VAT or IMF bailouts and will not vote for any new spending without matching cuts. (I think it should be $3 in cuts for every $1 of new spending.) These pledges and more can be found on his website, www.davidmalpasseforsenatecom.

It would be well worth your while to take a serious look at this individual. His credentials are for real. Gillibrand is very weak in comparison and very vulnerable. She had to be appointed to her seat and has only a 27 percent approval rating, according to one poll.

Also, look what happened when you voted for a person without looking further

than his reading and oratorical skills…a disaster.

Remember, liberals will once again try to lie their way into office since they know they have to appear to be like conservative or they have no chance of being elected. It looks like this same philosophy is going to work for the latest Supreme Court nominee.

The sad part was that there was no one there to cover the Malpass event. It seems a little unfair that Gillibrand, Schumer and Murphy get all the coverage they do by making their late-term promises and then call this news. It is simply free campaign coverage and nothing more. It is very unfair to their opponents. I guarantee you that the above three Democrats will be receiving coverage, much more than their opponents, from now to Election Day. Keep track and see if I’m right.

Now, on to some more incompetence by Barack Obama. He sure talks tough, doesn’t he? He famously said earlier that he is looking to look for some rear ends to kick. Well, bend over Barack, yours is the one that needs it the most. This liberal leader has to be the cheapest holder of the office to buy in our history.

He has been bought and paid for by the labor unions. You can almost see the puppet strings attached.

It’s now been learned, only 70 days into the oil spill, that 27 countries and six international organizations offered their assistance from the beginning. The reason they haven’t been able to act is because of a law known as the Jones Act that dates back to 1920. It is simply a union protectionist law that prohibits foreign boats from operating within U.S. waters without American crews.

Because of this law, he has said thanks, but no thanks, to offers until this last week. Other presidents, including President George W. Bush, have waived the act temporarily, but immediately, when there has been a disaster. This was done when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. It’s called leadership, Barack. It’s what grownups with experience, competence, less arrogance and better judgment do in a crisis. Your inaction will cost billions of dollars and you have no one else to blame but yourself.

Under Barack’s leadership the Coast Guard stopped 16 crude-sucking ships from collecting oil until it could be guaranteed that “there were fire extinguishers and life vests aboard,”

Also, as of last week, it was reported that although there are 2,000 skimmers in the United States alone, only 20 are being used. Admiral Thad Allen, when asked about why this is the case, said we might need then for an oil spill. Way to go Admiral, I think that is what we have now.

Obama likes to compare the oil spill disaster to the events of 9/11. Can you imagine how this guy would have reacted in a 9/11-type disaster? As columnist John Hawkins aptly writes, “I guess we’re lucky Obama wasn’t president when 9/11 happened or he’d probably still be trying to figure out who to bow to and where

Afghanistan is on a map, between games of golf.”

Time for another photo-op, Barack. Get down to the gulf beaches, kneel and look serious, at least you’re good at that. I also hear they have great golf courses nearby.

  Libs, Stop Whining

I want to sincerely thank Chuck Pinkey for doing such a bang up job with the column while I was gone. I couldn’t have chosen a more capable person and writer to temporarily take over the job. I am certainly his No. 1 fan. Thank you for going along with my choice, Sam Pollak.

As much as I love Romania and its people, I always realize how good it is to come back to such a great country. It helps me to realize anew all the great freedoms we have, yet take for granted. I can’t understand why we have the whiners who are always finding fault with America. Why don’t they ever show an appreciation for the generosity, in the form of time, money, and supplies, that the American people always come through with to help with any natural disaster, either foreign or domestic.

This disdain starts at the top with the present occupant in the White House. He goes around the world apologizing for us, tramples the Constitution, sides with a foreign government against his own constituents (Mexico vs Arizona), treats its allies like dirt, sympathizes with terrorist groups with an “it’s Israel’s fault for all the violence” attitude, and on and on.

I’ll try to be nice and label Obama and his followers enigmas. He is causing our massive deficit and debt to spiral out of control and then blames George Bush for his comparably miniscule deficits. Obama spends so irresponsibly and then complains that if the Bush tax cuts stay in place they will add to the deficit by $700 billion (not true, but when has he or his followers ever let facts get in the way).

He appoints a consumer advocate, another czar who wouldn’t make it through Senate hearings, and says she will make the big, bad banks write credit terms that the average person can understand, yet he promotes a 2,300 page health care proposal that no one, including himself, can understand or bother to even try to read.

As for his domestic policies and economic stimulus programs, can anyone point out anything working? I can hear the lefties scrambling for their word processors now, hardly able to type “It’s George Bush’s fault, its George Bush’s fault,” without mis-typing everything in their rabid, irrational anger.

Let me give them a few more worn-out lines they always use. They will never fail to bring up Bush and the Patriot Act. I say, thank you George Bush for its creation. The liberals can’t point out one instance of misuse.

Also libs, don’t forget the “blame Bush” excuse for the collapsing housing market, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae fiasco, even though there was a CNN and Fox News report showing Bush and his Treasury Secretary repeatedly warning about the lack of appropriate oversight of the two above-mentioned mortgage giants.

I have a video (as of today it was still on YouTube) and a timeline clearly pointing this out. There they are, good old Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, and old Chris, “Mr. Countrywide Financial” Dodd himself, defending them to the bitter end. Open minded people, independents and conservatives can e-mail me for these two items. All you secular, leftist, liberals probably shouldn’t even bother requesting them. The facts could slap you right in the face and you still wouldn’t budge from your blind, irrational, loyalty to Obama.

One more humorous mantra of the deaf left is that the Republicans have no ideas of their own. Can anyone tell me when any of the conservatives’ proposals have even been listened to? We have a lot of good, solid ideas but Obama won’t even give them consideration. This arrogant attitude began from day one when he said in a meeting after getting frustrated, “Hey, we won, you lost, it’s our turn now.” Now there is a guy who really wanted to end partisan bickering, right?

Remember Conservatives, November 2, which is only 36 days away, is only the beginning. Hopeful
ly we can regain enough seats to put the brakes on Barack’s socialist agenda, but we have to keep working hard. It’s a marathon rather than a sprint, so we have to make sure we don’t get too excited and burn ourselves out.

We have to have a strong, unwavering, steady pace for the 2012 and 2014 elections. Our numbers are growing by leaps and bounds daily. Why else do you think the lefties are panicking and resorting to slander and demeaning phrases to describe us? They are simply scared of us and have nothing but emotion and fear on their side to fight back with.

We have to remain vigilant and remember what happened in two short years when we let our guard down. We certainly don’t want a repeat of the Obama, Reid, Pelosi fiasco.

Nowhere For Liberals to Hide Come Election Day

Only 21 days to go! I’m getting excited and nervous at the same time. On the one hand, I know there will be tremendous conservative gains in both houses of Congress. Every day, races that were either secure or semi-safe for Democrats are now either a tossup, solidly, or leaning Republican (most of the time a conservative Republican).

As a matter of fact, on Wednesday, for the first time, Republican candidates lead in the polls in 10 Senate races! That would have been unheard of only one month ago. You probably didn’t know that. The press likes to be one-sided in its “reporting.”

On the other hand, what worries me is that it is Halloween season and you can be sure that liberal Republicans and almost all of the Democrats will be putting on their conservative-type disguises, attempting to lie, deceive, and do whatever is necessary to put politics over principle to win or hold onto their seats.
