  “Nyx, I’m to take over for Nyx, and become the goddess of night. It’s why Zed and the others won’t listen to Nyx anymore. They have all given their love and loyalty to me, because I see them as equals and do what I can to keep them safe. Zed likes his new skin; he’s fascinated with his human body, they all are. It’s kind of funny actually.” I say starting to laugh thinking of all the Shadow walkers staring at themselves in mirrors.

  “So, what happens to us when you take your place in the heavens with the other gods?” Levi asks looking sad.

  “Same thing that happens when Nimara goes. Your asses come too! You guys are stuck with me for eternity! Think you can handle this sassy little ass forever?” I say smiling at them.

  “YES!” They say in unison. High fives and fist bumps are done. Just as the guys are getting all excited again, Nimara walks in.

  “Damn that looks comfy! You feeling better now kid? Good to see your up and moving Mitchel. Thank you for bringing her home!” Nimara says coming to sit on the end of the bed.

  “You’re very welcome goddess Gaia, thank you for keeping everyone safe!” Mitchel says and the guys agree.

  “Well sweetie, I’m make sure you were alright, and that Mitchel was adjusting well to being whole again. We also have a little boy we need you to bring out of his house. He’s good at keeping people out. Wonder who taught him that?” Nimara says smirking at me.

  “Ok, well I need to shower again now that I am all sweaty, smell of sex and these four.” I say trying to get up, but the boys won’t let me.

  “You smell of them. So, get dressed and come on.” Nimara says getting up from the bed to leave. “Oh, stop by the nesting room, Sue’s excited about the new hatching boxes. She has been showing everyone!” I start laughing because the guys groan in agreement. How am I going to use them, I have 2 wolves, a dragon, and wizard for mates, only birds of prey and dragons mated to each other lay eggs to have fledglings. Will have to ask Hecate when I see her next.

  Chapter 10

  ~ Tenelle ~

  I walk into the Clan hospital and go to the 2-underground level. Tania said they brought Hayden here, so she could block anyone else trying to get to him. I walk into the children’s wing and find Hayden laying peacefully on a bed. There’s a zipping sound, some garbage appears, like chip bags, chocolate bar wrappers and juice boxes, then it pops out of the room. Tania starts to laugh.

  “Why are you laughing? Where did the garbage go?” Enox asks looking a little confused.

  “He’s sending it to Mary-Anne to be a pain in her ass. I spoke to his parents, because they travel for work constantly, Mary-Anne was supposed to take care of Hayden. They were extremely angry when they found out what she was doing to him, her dad was angry as well. I went to talk to Hayden, told him his parents say hi and to make Mary-Anne clean up after him. I am guessing this was what he got out of that. He send all his garbage to her and makes a mess in Trin’s den.” Tania says starting to laugh again when messy leftover food zips in and pops out again.

  “I kind of don’t want to pull him out, if he’s causing her stress by doing that.” I say looking at the guys and they all snicker. I touch his hand shifting into his dream house. The inside is actually really clean, and he’s even smelling fresh. His hair is damp, so I am taking it, he just had a shower or bath.

  “Hey kiddo, how are you?” I ask and Hayden pop up from the floor.

  “Tenelle!” He shouts in happiness, “Are you going to stay or am I able to come out? That icky medicine Mary-Anne kept giving me is all gone now. I think I can wake up!”

  “Oh really? That is awesome buddy, well I have you in a safe place now and they can’t hurt you anymore, so let’s get out of here. Just remember how to do this if there is ever a time you think you need to again to stay safe ok?” I say and Hayden grabs my hand ready to leave.

  “Ok, it was nice being in here. Quiet and that ugly, small dragon wasn’t able to pick on me. I hate Trin, his dragon is so small, but he is very mean.” Hayden says causing me to look at him with wonder.

  “Ok so first let’s send all of this stuff to Mary-Anne to clean up. She was a very horrible big sister!” I say smiling at the little boy, who just started glowing at the thought. There’s another zipping sound and then a loud pop. Everything has disappeared from the house except the bathroom. “Ok now, do you remember what outside of your house looks like?”

  “Yep, it’s my favorite place to play!” Hayden says. Suddenly we are outside the house, I can hear Enox and the others talking about all the stuff that just went to Mary-Anne. They are laughing hard about the mess Trin’s den is going to be in. That is when I notice a little black animal moving out of the corner of my eye.

  “Ok little man, last thing you have to do, is just wake up. I will leave first and be waiting for you ok?” I say giving Hayden a hug and kiss. I shift out, immediately Tania checks and clears me of other magic. He starts to open his eyes, looking around at everyone.

  “Tenelle!” Hayden shouts when his eyes land on me and suddenly jumps at me for a hug.

  “Hey sweetie! So good to have you out in the real world now!” I say hugging the little boy and rubbing his back. “Ok Hayden, you need to tell us everything you can remember ok? It’s super important.” I ask and Hayden nods. “You said Trin’s dragon is small. Like how small sweetie?”

  “He’s a little black dragon, like the size of a dog. He could fit in my lap; he is so small.” Hayden says and we all look at each other shocked.

  “Sweetie, when I saw Trin’s dragon, he was as big as a school and bronze.” I send Hayden the picture, through mind-link. He starts laughing and shakes his head no.

  “That’s not Trin! That’s the dragon I drew a picture of! To make me feel safe and protect me. He is just a made-up dragon!” Hayden says still laughing.

  “Sweetie do you think you can turn him back into a drawing? Mary-Anne stole your magic and gave him to Trin to be a big dragon. He hurt Mitchel really badly!” I say and Hayden looks at Mitchel.

  “Really Mitchel? What did he do to you? You look different, what did you do to your hair? I liked the white better!” Hayden says with questioning eyes.

  “Well, you remember when you asked why I was broken?” Mitchel ask Hayden and sits beside the little boy.

  “Yea, you said part of you was lost and you were looking for it. Did you find it?” Hayden asks getting excited.

  “Yes, I did, but before I could get it put back inside me, Trin killed me. I died Hayden, a white dog put me back together and brought me back to help keep you and everyone safe. Tenelle is my mate.” Mitchel says and Hayden’s excitement grows.

  “The white doggy made you better! That is good, now you are happy right? You found your missing parts and you get to have a super cool wife too! I like Tenelle, wish she were my wife.” Hayden says with a pout, causing everyone to laugh.

  “Yes, something like that little guy, when you get bigger you will have a super cool wife too don’t worry. Do you think you can help us with making Trin his small dragon again? He can hurt a lot of nice people with that big dragon.” Mitchel says and Hayden just looks sad now.

  “No, I can’t, he’s from my dreams. He was never meant to hurt anyone, Trin and Mary-Anne have done something to make him mean.” Hayden says, that is when it hits me. They have linked Hayden’s dream protector to Trin with transition. They were giving it to Hayden too. Guess I will be going to play in a nasty little dragon’s mind.

  “I need to talk to Zed! I just figured something out, and if I am right, we need all of the Shadow race.” I say as I look at the guys and Tania.

  “What is it you figured out Tenelle?” Tania asks.

  “I will explain, we all need to get back to the Theater. It’s the only place that is neutral ground even with being on a territory. Hayden, when you go to bed tonight, go straight back into your house ok?” I ask and Hayden looks at me with a huge grin. We all get up to leave and Hayden comes too. Tania spoke with his parents; they gave t
heir permission and now he is Hecate’s apprentice to be trained.

  Once back inside the Great Theater, the level of noise is amazing as it has come to life. All of the groups got here quickly, and as we walk in, the Great Dragon Council and the Council of the Gods all fly in as well. Even Nyx came, which put Zeus on edge. Once everyone was settled, I took center stage with Hayden. I am surprised that even the cat shifters and werewolves are here. Nazareth and Levi had their pack set up security for everyone.

  “Welcome to all the Shadow clans, to the Great Dragon council, the Council of the Gods, to the goddess Nyx and all packs and prides. I called you all here, because we have learned of a dangerous plan to gain the ancient magic and power that rests among the stars. This is Hayden, he was being forced to give his magic to his half-sister, Mary-Anne. She is human by birth and was using expired Transition serum and a machine to extract if from Hayden and place in herself. She will be easily dealt with since we now have Hayden safe in the care of the goddess Hecate.” I say and there is a lot of chatter all of a sudden. We know that all present have been checked for outside magic, and it was dispelled when found.

  “If that has been stopped why have we been summoned? It seems that this is no longer a threat.” Someone from the gallery has said. Causing even more talking and arguing.

  “ENOUGH!” Zed roars standing beside me in his gremlin form. The gallery quietens quickly, and many are now worried he will go dream walking. “It is a problem, because one of the Celestial Guards has betrayed his post, rejected his mate and is seeking the powers. Do you have any idea how harmful that is to all of you? To the world outside of the supernatural’s? Think about it, the greatest and most ancient of powers are resting among the stars for eternity to keep them from being used harmfully. If this traitor gets a hold of them, then no one and I mean no one is safe. Not even the gods!” Zed finishes and the whole gallery is even more quiet.

  “When I brought Hayden out of his block, he told us that Trin’s dragon is the size of a small dog. One that could sit comfortably in his lap, but he’s very mean. I showed him through mind link, the dragon we all know to be Trin. He told me that the bronze dragon Trin appears as, is from his dreams. One that is meant to protect and be a friend, Trin has connected to Hayden’s dream dragon and is using him to do harmful things. Because of the block I helped Hayden create when they were stealing his magic, it cut both Trin and Mary-Anne’s power source. Trin is no longer able to keep the bronze dragon form for very long.” I say causing more small chatting.

  “How do we know this is not just some ploy for you to get the magic? You’re a messenger to the gods, you’re probably tired of not being needed anymore and having to do things for us. You’re just trying to make yourself better than the rest of us.” A leader from one of the prairie covens says. He’s pissed because I rejected his ass when he tried to force himself on me and several Birds of Prey beat the hell out of him.

  “Why would my daughter want or need that power? Or is it because you tried and failed to force her to mate with you?” Hermes says landing with a thunderous shock wave on the arena floor, just down from me. There are gasps from all sides, no one knew that my dad Abe, was actually the earth-bound god Hermes when he was alive. The leader blanches when my father looks at him. Nyx is soon to join my father in the arena.

  “She is to take my place as the Goddess of Night, only a dream walker can take my place. Truly if Tenelle wished, she could have rendered you all useless at the age of 6 years old. She didn’t because she looks to everyone as an equal and a source of learning.” Nyx says and even Zeus is trying to hide in his chair.

  “What Tenelle says is true. Trin is not a very big dragon. He’s a small black dragon, and the dragon he has now is that of the dream walker’s world. We have found the dragon soul he removed from that particular dragon. If we can, we need to get Trin out of the dragon body and replace its original soul. I believe Hades has helped keep the soul safe and has it ready to be placed back where it belongs.” An elder female dragon says. She smile at me and winks, I look beside me and Enox is shaking his head.

  “That’s my mom.” Enox whispers in my ear. I giggle, she probably has some embarrassing stories to tell me about Enox, I can’t wait.

  “How are we going to do that? If the boy this dragon was attached to is awake now, they can start to steal his magic and connect to his dragon again.” Another leader asks. She is worried, they all are.

  “I will go back into my house when I go to bed!” Hayden says and again he has that grin on his face.

  “Hecate check Hayden again! Something is wrong.” I mind-link and Hecate looks at me. She sees it too.

  “Trin is connected to him already. I can’t break it without killing /hayden!” Hecate mind links me. She looks scared at me when she realizes.

  “No worries, I will handle this.” I send back. I link my hands with Hayden and immediately pull Trin out of Hayden’s dreams. Everyone gasps at the small chihuahua sized black dragon.

  “Hayden now!” I tell him and he goes limp, he is back into his house, but this time he has an outside block created by Hecate. The little black dragon starts to claw at Hayden’s body trying to cause harm to weaken the blocks and Hayden. I boot the little fucker down into the arena, but I don’t wait. I give control to Snow, and she strikes fast. The little black dragon tries to get away from Snow, shifting into another person’s dreams. He is kicked out pretty quick as a Shadow walker comes out too and lunges for him.

  “Now I know why you wanted us all here! So, if that little shit tried to get into someone’s dreams, we could kick him out!” Zed says and gives me a grin.

  “When I went into Hayden to get him out, I saw him out in the field where Hayden says he loves to play. He was waiting for Hayden to come out and go back to sleep. Thinking I would leave him unprotected. Horrible little creature.” Snow says while waiting for Trin to come back out of hiding. There is another loud roar and a bronze dragon lands in the arena. Trin must have thought he was safe because he comes out of hiding only to get swiped by the bronze dragon. Talisa comes sliding off the dragon’s back, and lands near the stage.

  “Good going Tenelle, once that little shit left the dream protector, I was able to get her soul back in! She is pissed!” Talisa says looking at the bronze dragon. “She put up her blocks to keep him out, and the other dream protectors have gone around putting blocks in so he can’t take them over either. They even started with everyone else too. The first ones they did were you and your mates, then all the gods. They finished the dragons a few moments ago. I waited outside his den, when he came out in the little black dragon, I knew he lost the other one. So, I got her back into her body quickly. He doesn’t have a den to go to now, the bronze dragon demolished it and set it on fire. It burnt to the ground and collapsed all his underground tunnels too.” Talisa says, just as there is a shriek. Trin has made it out of the theater and is attacking others outside. Half of the Theater empties in a blink, almost all of the Shadow walkers have gone after him. They can stay out today, because of the dark clouds from a massive storm coming.

  “I thought Hayden’s protector was a male dragon. Wow he is going to be surprised it’s a girl.” Snow says causing Talisa to laugh.

  “We need to follow him!” Nazareth yells from the doorway. There is screaming and roaring from all directions. It is complete chaos as we try to get out of the Theater to find Trin. Glory flies out with the dragons and gargoyles. When Snow get outside and watching through her eyes, I see everyone laying down to sleep. Nyx has put them all into a sleeping state, making it easier to find Trin.

  “Snow do you see where he went?” I ask as she flies over everyone. Shadow walkers are shifting into those who have fallen asleep and come out again with smiles. I don’t think I want to know what they are seeing.

  “No, I haven’t, he’s in someone or he has gone into the woods.” Snow says, then I hear a scream and Glory drops from the sky. A Shadow walker catches her before she hits the ground
and shifts in. Another cry goes out, and Trin is quickly thrown out of Glory. She isn’t getting up though, fearing the worst Snow gives me complete control, I shift straight from Snow into my body and directly into Glory. What I see is mom going through the same dream and memory of dad’s death. It’s keeps repeating over and over again. Causing the bond to break constantly and slowly killing them.

  “Mom, look at me!” I say grabbing her face forcing her to look at me. I have shifted down to my 10-year-old self to make this easier for her.

  “Tenelle, I am so sorry I couldn’t save your dad! Why did they take him from me? The fledglings aren’t going to make it without him!” Mom cries, dropping to her knees.

  “Mom look at me. I will help with the fledglings; they will be just fine. I know someone else who can help ok? But you have to be nice!” I tell her still holding her face. She shakes her head yes and I help the rest of the memory along. This is how I met Zed, Jade, and the Shadow race.

  “Hello Sue, I am Nico, this is my son Zed and daughter Jade. Tenelle sent for us, you’re in need of help with your fledglings, right?” Nico asked and my mom was shocked.

  “How do you know my Tenelle?” Mom asks shaking from grief.

  “We have met a few times, in the realm of dreams. Your daughter is a dream walker, I am guessing she gets that from your side. You know, I can help you also if you wish to come back when you are ready.” Nico says looking at my mom with respect.

  “How are Shadow walkers going to help me raise the fledglings?” Mom asks still shocked.
