The Flesh of Titans

“Flare?” Lotian asked, worried that Dramer might have hostile motives. I calmed my grapefruit-eyed demi-dragon.
Dramer crossed thirty feet distance in an instant and took me into his sizzling embrace. I was so tiny in his arms. But it felt safe.
“I need to talk to you,” he murmured, while the rest of his body shuddered like century-old machinery. The closeness between us awakened his dragon’s rage and the air cracked. Because of my unicorn’s blood, I could keep my rage safely hidden, but Dramer was the last person on the planet who could do that.
“Please give us a moment, Lotian,” I said to my demi-dragon who was scowling openly. Just the fact that he didn’t try to stop Dramer from embracing me was a significant achievement. Lotian was jealous and perhaps feared that the hazel-haired demi-dragon with the powerful steaming body could steal me. It would not happen.
Dramer let me back on the ground and we walked a short distance away from the other demi-dragons.
“If you try to overhear it, I’ll beat you all senseless,” he said without meaning it. My heart told me that. Whatever happened in the tower, it has changed this huge dumbass in an unexpected way.
“I’m sorry,” I said. “I should not…”
Dramer’s finger touched my lips. His amber eyes filled me with warmth and happiness that I sorely needed in that light-cursed city. Somehow, I quieted my thundering thoughts. I badly overestimated how much I could take. Being stubborn often meant arrogance. It did in my case. I figured out that if I could stand up to a demi-dragon then no one else in this stupid place could challenge me. Elleria was the first to show me otherwise. The Council filled my bones with ice.
“It’s not your fault, Flare. It’s us, demi-dragons, who are to blame. We’ve fought for so long that we forgot how to talk to each other without snarls and punches.”
I couldn’t believe my ears. “Is that, really, you?” I asked with his fingers still on my lips.
Dramer looked at the tower. His rage calmed down overtaken by melancholy. “Today, my father showed his true face and revealed his motives. I watched him and feared that one day I’ll become like him. A dragon consumed by greed and power. His sons have no meaning to him. He was close to killing Nix, Flare, so close I felt the agony of Nix’s soul. And yours…”
No longer only my bones but now, also my limps became freezing cold. Even the heat produced by Dramer couldn’t dispel that unnatural chill. Nix came close to dying and Lotian and I would follow him into the underworld if one existed.
Tears pushed forward. Maybe they already began pooling in the corners of my eyes, I didn’t know. Don’t fight them on their rules. Go with the current.
I spun hoping to find the speaker. I recognized that voice and yet I knew I’ve never met that person.
Who are you? I asked but no response came through.
“It’s alright, Flare,” Dramer assured me, having no clue of what was going on in my head. “Atrax won’t get you. He might be a pure dragon but with Bastiel on our side, we should not have a problem beating him.”
“Dramer,” I whispered. “Are you really alright with this?”
“With my father being a tyrant and psycho…”
“No. I meant me, Lotian and Nix.”
His jaw tensed immediately and power inside his core erupted as if he held there the sun itself. But I sensed no anger coming from him, and for that I was thankful. I couldn’t watch them fighting each other anymore. I knew that they would never fully accept this situation, but being neutral was good enough.
“I…” Dramer’s voice lost its strength, which was strange to witness. Then he gathered his power around him and added, “I don’t care about them. I care about you, Flare. If this is what makes you happy, then I will concede. But Lotian… he is a scumbag, Flare. You should not trust him.”
“He saved my life, you huge oaf,” I softly punched him in the arm, feeling good. “He’s stood up to Saaron and antagonized that fucker each time.”
“Saaron,” Dramer growled. Now, the anger fired up. “He will regret dragging you into the Academy.”
I opened my mouth to say something but Dramer’s lips quieted my thoughts. Energy flared out of him. He could not keep his power constrained for long while being with me! I heard Lotian’s and Nix’s scream. So much dragon’s fire erupted out of him that the surface of the parking lot began melting.
Calm him down, Flare!
He will destroy everything!
I couldn’t stop him. Even without rage, my senses, my body, my thoughts belonged to Dramer right now. Six months without each other proved to have deeper effects on us that I’d anticipated. Sounds and images from the surrounding area suddenly cut off. Almost as if we walked into the eye of a hurricane.
“I won’t wait any longer,” Dramer growled, burning my clothes away. Somewhere in my mind, a tiny voice spoke of decency and such, but then it met the current of lust and emotions and disappeared in that powerful maelstrom.
Naked, we stood cocooned by fire … and … shadow? Voices of Lotian and Nix in my head turned off. There were only Dramer and me.
Dramer wasn’t in the mood for romanticism, his strong arms lifted me up. I was wet just by imaging his huge throbbing rod going inside my pussy. He should be the first man I’ve tasted. I would never forgive Saaron for stealing that opportunity away.
Excited like a teenager, I clung to his massive chest. With each breath, our pulses came closer just a little bit at finding a common language. In his arms, I found serenity. My eyes closed and snapped open as if afraid that this moment belonged only to a figment of my imagination and as such, it would be gone with the next blink.
My embrace stiffened bringing Dramer closer if that was even possible. I inhaled the aroma of fire, smoke and brandy. I wished I could use my unicorn’s power and stop the time.
“Relax,” Dramer murmured. It came from far away. He moved his hand over my spine in a soothing gesture. As he reached my ass, his cock bumped me from the bottom, which startled me a little. I purred into his ear. Cravings to finally ride him, filled my body to the last fiber. Lust brightened inside me like the First Star. The First Star. A thought that wasn’t mine and it sort of was. As soon as it appeared it was gone and all that has remained was the hot body of Dramer. He gently lowered me until my hungry pussy lips touched his penis. Just touching it, sent spikes of excitements and shivers throughout me.
“Insert him,” I murmured into his ear. My words brought another wave of power out of him. The energy so fierce that it whipped the strange sphere that kept the world safe from us, leaving red lines that refused to die. Dramer didn’t care about any of this. He pushed more fire out of him, and then I began slipping down, his cock filling me up. If I screamed, and I was, I couldn’t hear it. My own dragon’s rage awakened for the first time since sex with Saaron. Dramer’s had an impact on me that pulled the things out of me. Things I’ve believed I’d put to sleep for good.
Rage swelled me as Dramer’s cock wholly entered my vagina. I remembered ecstasy so potent that my control slipped and I let the dragon’s fire burn everything around. Our powers melted together. I slammed my ass against his loins.
Sparks flew. My arm wrapped around his neck, while my pussy tightly embraced his throbbing rod. Each move up and down milked him more. I saw pure lust in his eyes. His balls slapped my ass cheeks as his pace increased. I lost my sense of time. The only indication in the ocean of the bliss that we were moving on the axis of time was an orgasm, which like a tsunami, approached quickly.
It hit hard. My pussy clenched trapping Dramer’s cock inside. He grunted shocked by the raw strength of my vaginal muscles.
“This is fucking divine,” he swore, keeping his spear buried inside me as the merciless orgasm rocked my body. We kissed, wishing for this to not end. But in a matter of seconds my overwhelming orgasm was gone, and my pussy relaxed. It was Dramer
s turn to find nirvana. His arm wrapped around my waist and his cock began piercing me with passionate determination. Lucidity which my mind had resumed after the orgasm, now started to slip away, again.
My perky tits bounced against the demi-dragon’s massive chest, my pussy released juices that sizzled as they hit the burning ground. I shuddered and screamed and swore and shuddered some more.
I sensed his orgasm from far away. His moves changed, desire multiplied a hundredfold. He slowed down, but his thrusts became rougher, deeper, more fervent. Through the nose, I inhaled the sultry air. The same second Dramer exploded inside me. I thought it won’t affect me, but gods, its intensity soaked through my skin and sent my mind reeling.
A long wail that came out of Dramer’s throat brought me back. Even spent, Dramer’s rod remained hard and hungry. Slowly the reality seeped into my brain. We weren’t alone on the parking lot. There were Nix, Lotian and Bastiel, and not that far away at the control point stood Dragon Soldiers. Though the dark sphere surrounded us, I sensed them all beyond.
Still clinging to Dramer like a koala, and his cock buried inside me, I fully returned and found everything around us melted. Hot asphalt steamed in many places. What have we done?
Dramer needed a few more seconds to regain his awareness. Suddenly, the temperature radiated by him dropped.
He didn’t care about the damage. His amber eyes locked on mine. “This was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.” Watermane and Selene crossed my mind and I was about to ask about them when the darkness around began dissipating.
Shit! We’re naked!
Dramer unhooked me as his cock remained rock-hard, then he conjured clothes. I was confused about this. Why sometimes they needed to buy some but not the other?
Our innocent act of lovemaking created a twenty feet wide crater. Lotian and Nix stood at its rim watching us. While Nix seemed calm, his flame-haired brother was agitated. It resembled the situation after our first threesome with Nix, when Lotian revealed the jumble of emotions that had been trapped within him.
Bastiel stood there too, though a little farther than them. Liquid shadows coiled around him. Was the sphere his? It had to be. No one else possessed such strange power. This meant that he helped us.
I wanted to rush up the slope of the crater. We were standing three feet lower than the level of the parking lot, but my legs refused to heed my command.
“Easy, Flare, dragon’s sex can be exhausting.”
“Such destruction… Dramer, we must find a different way.” A thought slammed my stale brain. “The bond! I can bond you! This way…”
My voice trailed off seeing Dramer’s face. He shook his head.
“I can’t do this. I can understand why you did it with Lotian. It was the only way to save him as it seems that even demi-dragons can bleed. But Nix?”
I didn’t answer him. No answer came up to my head.
Chapter 7
“We should go,” Nix said. “Your little show beaconed to everyone in the city and beyond…” Curiously, I sensed more from his words. An untold warning. Nix was military. He knew state secrets. Was there anyone beyond the walls of this city I should fear? A particular warlord? An alien beast? Or a Titan? Maybe I’d ask him that question, but not now. I didn’t want to think of bad things.
“We will take care of it,” Dramer said. “Four demi-dragons are worth more than an army.” For the first time, he included Lotian and it had an immediate effect on my grapefruit-eyed lover. He stood up a little straighter and some creases on his face smoothed.
Going with the newfound affiliation Lotian said. “We can go to my place.”
Nix nodded without a pause, while Dramer’s eyes alighted. I put my hand on his chest and said, “it’s a good idea.” These few words swayed Dramer. This left Bastiel. I didn’t know how to approach him. He seemed distant … almost as if not interested, except I felt too much deliberation in his behavior.
There was one way to get through his thick wall of indifference.
“Bastiel,” I called out to him. He froze. His violet eyes veiled by shadows briefly fell on me and as quickly they were gone. He turned away from us. I probed his power, but it remained tightly wrapped around him like his black coat. “Why are you ignoring me?” I couldn’t help it. I needed to know, though there was no magnetism between us, as with me and other demi-dragons. It was something else that pushed me forth. Mystery? Curiosity?
Nix and Lotian turned to him but said nothing. Dramer, on the other hand, remained with his back to them but raised his voice, “Bastiel promised me to keep distance between you two but now…”
“I’m going to respect my promise, Dramer,” Bastiel said, looking at the distant tower where their father resided. “Now, let’s go. Nix is right, you put a stick in the viper’s nest and stirred it.”
We got into the cars; Lotian with me, Nix on his own and Dramer with Bastiel. As we set off to Lotian’s absurdly large mansion in Maran Del district. In the rear window, I saw Dragon Soldiers running to the crater left by me and Dramer. It really happened. We did it, Dramer. But at what price? And yet no matter how hard and long I thought about this, I’ve always reached the same conclusion. We were meant for each other, demi-dragons and I.
Could Atrax use this against us? Perhaps, he could and so the question was, was he going to?
A half an hour later, the three cars rolled onto Lotian’s wide driveaway. Only the front of his mansion was visible, as the house and the driveaway were flanked by thick bushes. The gate closed and we left the cars.
My thoughts immediately returned to Bastiel. Maybe it was the darkening sky that pulled them out of the depths of my mind, or maybe the stars that winked into existence. Thousands of little pixels dotted all over the uncovered sky. Why was Tartaros so jealous about the sky that he’s taken it for himself?
“It’s because of hope,” Nix said. My thoughts must have leaked. I’ve been careless sometimes. Especially, without Rebecca who stayed in the Academy.
“How much did you spend on this?” Dramer asked.
“Most of my allowance.”
Nix cocked his brow, I should too, because it boggled my mind that they had allowances that afforded them to buy a house with two swimming pools, a tennis court, ten bedrooms and all that expensive furniture that Lotian had been happily destroying the other day.
“Aren’t they going to expand the city? That warlock of yours spoke about this. It will give more living space to people.” Dramer shrugged in reply.
Before Bastiel disappeared in the door, I caught his intrigued look. I followed Dramer. Nix and Lotian entered behind me.
Magic has fixed destroyed furniture. Most of the items were custom made and could be replaced only with cheaper versions. For now.
We took the seats by the massive dining table. Lotian came with bottles of brandy, wine and even vodka. I got the juice! Unbelievable.
“Hey, Lotian! Give me something proper to drink. In the Wastelands, we were making our own booze.” It was a straight lie. While the Wastelanders made their own alcohol, our trio never bothered with it. Useless in most situations, it still could be sold, but our way of living never allowed us to settle down.
As Lotian sat down with an extra bottle of wine for me, the atmosphere tensed.
“We have to come up with a plan,” Nix said.
“Wait,” Bastiel stood up. The cascades of spells came out of him. The other demi-dragons joined him in the effort and within seconds we sat in the sealed soundproof house. “We must watch our words more than ever. The Council will seek to use them against us.”
That elicited looks from demi-dragons, then Nix took off his uniform and threw it on the sofa near the wall. “I’m no longer a captain of the City Guards and Dragon Corps.”
“What?” I should expect this after he refused to detain me this morning.
&
nbsp; “It doesn’t matter. I was going to quit anyway. Father proved that he is not our ally.”
“What exactly happened in the tower?” Lotian asked.
Nix told us and the hair on my neck stood on its end. Bravery aside, what happened there showed how insanely powerful and determined Atrax was. But it also raised more questions than it answered.
“I don’t understand one thing, why does he even bother pretending? Why didn’t he come and steal me?”
Dramer spun on the chair crashing it. “Fuck! Flare, don’t even say that!”
As the huge demi-dragon was removing the broken pieces of the chair, Bastiel explained. “From what I’ve gathered from our father, the situation at hand looks like the standoff. On one side you have Mirenne who is waiting for Atrax’s mistake, on another we have Atrax who does the same.”
I shook my head. “It doesn’t make sense,” I sipped some of the wine Lotian had brought and regretted it. “Why do they care? The outcome is going to be the same.”
My memories were foggier with each day that passed since the Ritual of Tears, but enough has remained.
“Perhaps to look good in the eyes of the Pures that left the planet,” Nix chided in.
“No,” I cut in, startling myself. “I don’t think Mirenne and Atrax care about themselves at all. In my vision of the past, my … mother said that she will soon die though she didn’t know who was going to kill her. One of the beings she mentioned were angels. And before that, Selene had revealed that the prophecy of Trinity says about someone who will defeat the Usurpers in the Heavens, which are angels. That’s not all. Eight years ago, when my mother went missing, a powerful being of unknown origin came to Earth. Draw your own conclusions.”
The silence was only disturbed by the sounds of drinking. Everyone except Bastiel took a swig. And for some reason, Dramer put on a T-shirt while Lotian got rid of his jacket. The bottoms of the empty bottles hit the table. I chose juice over the wine.
